Harry Potter actress Emma Watson has been opening up latelty about her decision to leave Brown University, and though initially her explanations were a bit vague, she did speak with Vogue magazine about how her decision to attend college put a wrench in the production of the Harry Potter flicks.
“I have felt for the last 10 years I have had this battle; I’ve been fighting so hard to have an education. It’s been this uphill struggle. I was Warner Bros.’ pain in the butt. I was their scheduling conflict. I was the one who made life difficult.”
She claimed that she wouldn’t renew her contract to film the latest Harry Potter movies if they wouldn’t work around her schooling.
“I just realized at one point that I can’t fight everything. I have to move in the direction of it — and go with it.”
What helped her through it? Actor James Franco, who was studying at the Rhode Island School of Design at the time.
“It was such a relief to speak to someone who is trying to do the same thing I’m doing. I talked to him about juggling studying and making films and going backward and forward. He’s not afraid or limited by what he fears people will say about it.”
Even though she decided to leave school, doesn’t regret having the guts to stand up to Warner Bros.
“I’ve probably earned the right to screw up a few times. I don’t want the fear of failure to stop me from doing what I really care about.”

Harry Potter star Emma Watson left Brown University back in March, and since then there have been all sorts of rumors circulating on the reason why. Emma has shot down all speculation without revealing the reasoning behind it, until now, citing her celebrity status as a hindrance at a normal life.
“I was in denial. I wanted to pretend I wasn’t as famous as I was. I was trying to seek out normality, but I kind of have to accept who I am, the position I’m in and what happened. I’ve never even been asked for an autograph on campus. I threw a party for nearly 100 students and not a single person put a photo on Facebook. Anyway, even if I was being given a hard time, I wasn’t going to wuss out of university because someone said ‘Wingardium leviosa’ to me in a corridor, or ‘Ten points for Gryffindor.’ I’ve been dealing with the media since I was nine. If I can’t stand up to a few people giving me a hard time, it’s a bit pathetic, really. I’ve had so much worse.”
Another problem she had was dating:
“I say to my friends, ‘Why hasn’t X called me? Why doesn’t anyone ever pursue me?’ They’re like, ‘Probably because they’re intimidated.’ It must be the fame wall. It must be the circus that goes around me. Me, as a person, I find it hard to believe I would be intimidating.”

Call me mean – or whatever you want – but Emma Watson looks like a boy!! Is this what Lancome is going for? Androgynous?
Emma continues to shoot her Lancome campaign in Paris, France.
I guess I’ll wait and see what the final product looks like to make my judgment, but from the looks of these pictures – I don’t understand what Lancome is doing!

Actress Emma Watson rocked some short shorts while shooting scenes on location for her upcoming Lancome advertisement filming in Paris, France.
I want her to grow her hair out, I’m not a fan of the short cut. She’s so little and young – the hair looks very boyish on her. I realize she’s trying to ditch her whole Harry Potter look, but enough’s enough!
But that’s just my opinion.

The 20-year-old actress was spotted last night filming her first commercial for the brand at the restaurant ‘Cafe de Flore’ in Paris, France.

Poor Emma Watson, she just can’t seem to catch a break in the public eye!
Apparently, Rupert Grint said that kissing her for the Harry Potter movie was just “okay”. Weird, right?
People explains:
“It was actually okay,” Grint, 22, said of his onscreen kiss with Watson in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which opened in theaters Friday. “It was just the anticipation. Neither of us were looking forward to it.”
Grint does, however, acknowledge that may seem a bit unbelievable to most fans.
“It sounds crazy, Emma’s amazing,” he says. “I’ve seen her grow up and known her since she was nine. It just doesn’t feel right.”
I can totally understand where he’s coming from, though!
