Emma Watson is a certified yoga instructor

FFN_FLYUK_Noah_Prem1_033114_51369820

Emma Watson has been pretty busy with a Hollywood career since she was a pre-teen, so you wouldn’t think she’d get much time for extracurricular activities, but indeed she has. She’s a student at Brown University, AND she’s just revealed that she’s actually a certified yoga teacher on the side!

‘I love having something completely unrelated to the film industry. I want to find something that will let me use my brain in another way.

‘I love painting, so maybe I hone in on that and do more art classes? Or maybe something different. I’m a board two certified qualified yoga instructor.’

That’s pretty impressive! I’ve always wanted to get into yoga but have never had the time to do it. That seems like a pretty poor excuse if Emma can not only practice it, but get certification to teach it! You go, girl!

Emma Watson Looks Amazing… Again

"Noah" - UK Premiere

Emma Watson looks gorgeous at the UK premiere of ‘Noah,’ earlier today.  I think I’ve mentioned how much I like her.  A great actress and a seemingly good head on her shoulders.  A child star who has made the graceful transition to an adult actress without any colossal meltdowns or scandals.

Have you been to see the movie?  ‘Noah’ was the No. 1 at the box office this past weekend, bringing in about $44 million.  My parents saw it and said it was really well done.  The opening marks star, Russell Crowe’s second highest opening of his career and he is earning mostly positive reviews for his performance.

The Times’ Kenneth Turan called Crowe a “fiercely masculine presence” who “also provides the film with some unexpected, if inevitably overwrought, emotional cliffhanger moments.”

Mick LaSalle of the San Francisco Chronicle wrote that “Crowe ably conveys the oppressive weight of Noah’s responsibility, the burden of enacting God’s will,” and Joe Morgenstern of the Wall Street Journal wrote, “the film gambles on its star being able to preserve the hero’s humanity without softening his fury. In doing just that, Mr. Crowe achieves something close to an acting miracle.”

Emma Watson is Spiritual

Emma Watson At The 'Late Show With David Letterman'

Emma Watson, 23, looked as incredible as ever in a black suit and heels for her appearance on David Letterman on Tuesday.  She’s been making the rounds, promoting her role in ‘Noah,’ out this weekend.  She gave a candid interview to the Associated Press about her role in the film and fame in general.  Some highlights…

On her own religious views:

I already had the sense that I was someone who was more spiritual than specifically religious. … I’m really interested in those things that are more far-reaching than culture, nationality, race, religion.

On the backlash from groups saying that director, Darren Aronofsky, took too many liberties with the Noah story:

If we had gone with exactly the original story, Noah doesn’t say anything until he steps off the ark. You would have been watching a silent film. None of the women are really spoken about in the biblical story. There wouldn’t of been any women in it. He had to adapt it for the screen.

On her upcoming graduation from Brown University:

I will be having a hell of a party. It will just be a relief, I think, because I’ve been really juggling so much and it will just be really nice to be able to focus on just one thing but I think I’ll miss it, too.

Her transition from child star to adult actress:

You know, it can be a very corrupt environment and situation for a young person and I’m just so thankful that I have people around me who have really held my hand…. Everyone from my publicist through the person who does my hair and makeup, from my brothers through to my friends to my professors who helped support me through my education. I mean there’s a huge group of people that just helped me so much. Yeah. I’m a very, very, very lucky girl.

Her graceful transition into an adult actress impresses me the most.  It’s gotta be hard to keep a clear head with all the fame, money and good looks.  Brava Hermione!

Emma Watson is Jealous of Other Actresses

The 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards Arrivals in LA

Emma Watson is featured in the April issue of Elle, and comes off just as gorgeous and likable as ever.  I love her.  She always seems so genuine, she is clearly brilliant and has always made her education a priority despite her huge star power, and she picks great roles.

Though she’s clearly successfully transitioned from child to adult star, Watson tells the magazine that growing up in the spotlight — during puberty — was rough. “There are all these actresses who have emerged in the last year or two, and they get to emerge as this complete human being,” she said. “And I’m so jealous!”

She later goes on to explain how maintaining life outside of her career is important for her.

“I remember reading this thing that Elizabeth Taylor wrote. She had her first kiss in character. On a movie set. It really struck me,” Watson told Elle. “I don’t know how or why, but I had this sense that if I wasn’t really careful, that could be me. That my first kiss could be in somebody else’s clothes. And my experiences could all belong to someone else.”

While best known for her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series, she was awesome in Perks of Being a Wallflower.  We will next see Watson in the biblical epic film, Noah, which is to be released later this month.  The $125 million film is directed by Darren Aronofsky.  I love her, and I’m sure the film is going to be so major, but I’m not really dying to see it.  I wish I could look as cute getting off a plane as she does.

Golden Globes Fashion Post: Sandra Bullock, Emma Watson and Kerri Washington

The 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards - Arrivals

So I basically just do NOT like the designer Prabal Gurung. The designer not only made this unfortunate dress that Sandra Bullock wore, but is also responsible for Zoe Saldana’s hot mess. Not a good look for Sandy, which is sad…..because I love her.

The 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards - Arrivals

Emma Watson wore this confusing dress/pants look. It’s a dress…over pants? The outfit is Dior Couture. What do you think? If anyone can pull it off, it’s Emma. She’s gorg.

The beautifully pregnant Kerry Washington wore a grey (?) dress by Balenciaga. I think she looks great.
