Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone are teaming up again (they heated up the screens in last years ‘Crazy Stupid Love’) in ‘Gangster Squad’. It’s being called a cross between ‘Untouchables’ and ‘L.A. Confidential’.
Gosling plays an LAPD officer who tries to take down Sean Penn’s Mickey Cohen.
Directed by Ruben Fleischer (“Zombieland”), “Gangster Squad” — which is based onPaul Lieberman’s seven-part Los Angeles Times series “Tales From The Gangster Squad” – was initially locked into an October release date, but was moved to “TBD” in favor of Ben Affleck’s “Argo.” Still, discounting this one as anything other than an early Oscar player seems foolish. In addition to Penn (seemingly using Leonardo DiCaprio’s leftover makeup from “J. Edgar”), Gosling and Stone, the cast includes Josh Brolin, Anthony Mackie, Giovanni Ribisi, Robert Patrick and Nick Nolte. That’s a great roster and all, but let’s focus back on Gosling and Stone.
“You want to take me away from all this,” she purrs. “No ma’am, I was just hoping to take you to bed,” he retorts. Swoon! Get these two a remake of “Bringing Up Baby,” stat.

Katy Perry was one of the many celebrities that attended the Kids Choice Awards over the weekend. She wore this strange green getup, which in my opinion is quite hideous. Maybe she was trying to look like she was wearing slime?

There weren’t many stand out fashions on the red carpet last night at the Golden Globes, but Sarah Michelle Gellar stepped out of the box a little with this bold Monique Lhuillier gown. She shared that her daughter helped her pick it out: “It’s funny — I didn’t try on that many dresses. They had them all lined up and I was working all week and my 2-year-old walked in, walked up this dress and said, ‘Mama, wear this!’ So I put it on and said, ‘OK!”

I love awards season! So many reasons to love and hate on celeb fashion! I see several hits and a few misses at last night’s Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, held at the Hollywood Palladium.

Ginnifer Goodwin showed up at the People’s Choice awards wearing a fushia Roksanda Ilinicic dress. I’m torn between loving it and hating it.
Nina Dobrev of ‘Vampire Diaries’ wore a green Elie Saab dress. I might like the dress, but the color is throwing me off.
Lea Michele wore a white Marchesa dress. She took home the award last night for ‘Favorite TV Comedy Actress’ and I can’t for the life of me figure out how. I can name 10 funnier women on TV right now. Such an odd win.
Demi Lovato also wore Marchesa – in another ugly color – if you ask me. Not a fan.
Emma Stone wore a green Gucci suit, and I don’t like it at all. Okay – I lie. I might like it – but NOT at the People’s Choice Awards, and on Emma. I’ve seen her in so many gorgeous dresses, that I feel like this outfit was a major letdown.
