Though Tiger Woods was reportedly hoping to mend fences with his wife Elin after his sex scandal fractured their marriage, it looks like divorce is par for this course.

A source close to the family tells Us Weekly, “It’s 100 percent happening … It’s going to take a long time to go through. [But] she will go through with it. She is all about being a mom. She will do it slowly and carefully.”

While Tiger parties in the U.S. — TMZ found the golfer hanging out backstage during a Nickelback concert in Florida earlier this week — “Elin and the kids are out there visiting with [Elin's] family in Stockholm,” the source says.

The friend adds that Elin has ordered “nonstop construction” on her new $3 million home on Sweden’s west coast. “She is definitely planning on spending a lot of time there — they are gutting it … She and the kids are going to be spending most of the summer there. Without Tiger.”

Reportedly, Elin has also looked at properties in Florida — sources tell PopEater’s Naughty But Nice columnist Rob Shuter that a full-time move to Sweden is out of the question. “No way would Tiger let Elin leave the USA with his children. You can say whatever you want about Tiger as a husband, but he has always been a great father,” an insider told Rob. “He knows his marriage is probably over, but he will never give up on those kids. They mean the world to him.”

Just as Tiger Woods said he will take time to “reevaluate things” after coming in at a disappointing fourth place at the Masters and with his wife Elin Nordegren nowhere in sight during the tournament, ET spoke with sources about Tiger and Elin’s embattled marriage.

“For weeks now there have been rumors that Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren might reconcile and save their marriage,” Kevin says. “It was believed by going to sex rehab that Tiger had done just enough to keep his family together. But sources have told me that the marriage is indeed over.

“Evidence? Well, the fact that Elin was on a plane headed to Arizona during the final round of the Masters — usually with her husband at his biggest tournament she would be there waiting for him in case he won — instead she made a plan so that she would be in the air while Tiger was playing.

“Also, the couple hasn’t spoken for quite some time and it is believed that all they have to do is work out a few more details on their divorce. Then they can sign the divorce decree and both can move on with their lives.”

The former model was spotted near her Florida home wearing a maternity top, and a distinctly rounded belly. Sources claim she is around four months pregnant.

“Elin’s staying quiet about it, but she’s showing every sign of being pregnant,” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer.

“Her tummy’s a dead giveaway and so is her behavior. Her moods are all over the place and she’s been eating constantly, which is not like Elin since she’s always so concerned about her figure.

“Pregnant or not, Elin isn’t ready to officially call of the divorce — especially in light of recent developments,” the insider notes.

“Tiger’s giving her an insane amount of money and saying he’s willing to do anything she asks if she gives him another shot.

“But Elin wants to see his changed man before she commits to this relationship again. That why she hasn’t been wearing her wedding ring.

“Elin’s a responsible mother and knows that however awful Tiger may have been as a husband, he’s a good dad to their kids. I think she still loves Tiger but the big question is, can she ever really forgive him, new baby or not?”

The Daily Beast’s Gerald Posner reveals that days before the National Enquirer released a story claiming Woods had an affair with Rachel Uchitel, Woods swore to Elin Nordegren it was completely false. To further cover up his lies, Woods convinced Uchitel to talk to Elin and deny they were having an affair. The two women spoke by phone for about half an hour, but Elin wasn’t ready to accept that the relationship was just platonic and plotted a “sting operation.”

The following day, Elin learned some of the Enquirer’s specifics about the alleged affair, leading to another argument. The sources claim Woods decided to end the bickering by taking Ambien and going to sleep. After he fell asleep, Elin looked through his cellphone and discovered one text message sent to Uchitel that said, “You are the only one I’ve loved.”

Tiger Woods’ soon-to-be-ex wife, Elin Nordegren, is planning on running away to her Swedish homeland for good — and she wants to take the disgraced golfer’s two kids with her.

While Tiger, 34, is reportedly at the Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services in Hattiesburg, Miss., Elin, 30, has been plotting her escape from the Florida home she has been sharing with her husband since their 2004 wedding.

“She’s reminded daily of the havoc he’s wreaked on her and her kids’ lives, which is why she’s planning on staying in Sweden full-time. She wants to be near her family,” explains an insider. “Tiger has tried to reach her,” says an insider. “But Elin won’t take his calls.”
