Drew Barrymore has called on Hollywood’s troubled stars to “pull it together” because she hates watching young celebrities self-destruct in public. Think she’s talking about anyone we know?
Drew has had two stints in rehab when she was 13 and 14 and claims stars such as Britney Spears have to actually want to conquer their demons – before they can get the help they need.
She said, “I think I had some mechanism in my head that said, ‘If you don’t pull it together, no one else will.’ That’s coming from a person who had to try it all….and who still loves a good time.”
Drew insists that she never let her career focus slip during her wild years. She adds, “I do believe in ‘work hard, play hard’, but ‘work hard’ always comes first, and it did even when I was wild and young.”

Celebrities turned out for A Night to Benefit Raising Malawi and UNICEF at the United Nations in New York City, yesterday. The stars included Brooke Shields, Cynthia Nixon, Debra Messing, Kimora Lee Simmons, Salma Hayek, Gwyneth Paltrow, Rachel Zoe, Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes, Ali Larter, Drew Barrymore & Justin Long, Molly Sims, Lucy Lui, Chris Ivery & Ellen Pompeo, Rihanna, Demi Moore, Madonna & Lourdes, Jessica & Jerry Seinfeld, and Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony.

Madonna hosted the star-studded fundraiser for Malawi orphans, last night.
The legendary singer, who has a two-year-old adopted son David from the African country, threw the New York bash for her Raising Malawi Foundation, United Nations children’s organization UNICEF and to celebrate the opening of a new Gucci store.
Madonna, who dismissed rumors the event was raising money for Kabbalah, said: “I am grateful that Gucci has underwritten this event, that’s all that matters to me – their generosity. There’s always controversy surrounding anything that involves change.
“I want to put Raising Malawi on the map. I want credibility as a philanthropic organization. I want to inspire people. I don’t want them to just write me a check – I want them to give me a piece of their heart.”

I don’t know why, but Drew Barrymore and Justin Long (the MAC guy) make an odd looking couple. Okay – he’s just odd looking. Drew’s fine.
Anyway, here they are at the Los Angeles premiere of ‘Wild West Comedy Show: 30 Days & 30 Nights – Hollywood to the Heartland’ held at the Egyptian Theatre.

Nice girl Drew Barrymore is one of the last stars you’d expect to be involved in a bar fight! Drew and her boyfriend, Justin Long, were partying at Bar Lubitsch in West Hollywood on January 5 when another club patron snapped a picture of them with a small digital camera. According to a witness, Drew was upset over the invasion of privacy and complained to a bar employee. A fight broke out with Drew and Justin stuck in the middle. “Drew and Justin ran out of there as quickly as they could,” the witness says. Police were called to the scene to break up the brawl. A rep for Drew had no comment. The night of the brawl, Drew and Justin just wanted to have a good time. David Abithol claims that he was punched for taking pictures of Drew, 32, and Justin, 29. He says he isn’t a professional photographer, only a fan who wanted a picture.

Looks like Drew Barrymore and “Mac guy” Justin Long are getting serious. The He’s Just Not That Into You costars spent Thanksgiving with Long’s family in his hometown of Fairfield, Conn.
Then, on Friday, the couple kicked back at the nearby Southport Brewing Company, where they shared some late-night cocktails, laughs and, yes, a smattering of smooches. “They started out in the bar area and then moved to a booth, where they sat next to each other and kissed and hugged,” one eyewitness tells PEOPLE. Adds another patron: “Drew and Justin were adorable.”
Long also recently filed a new entry on his official Web site, saying he was headed to the East coast to see his “girlfriend” and spend Thanksgiving with “the fam.” He also raved about Flower Films, Barrymore’s production company.
The two were first spotted together in late summer. Before that, Barrymore had been linked to Scrubs star Zach Braff and director Spike Jonze.
