Reportedly, Dominic Monaghan and Evangeline Lilly are finally ready to say I do!

After an aborted plan to marry two years ago, the on-again/off-again couple is so serious this time about saying “I do” that they recently invited Dominic’s parents to join them in Las Vegas – so they could get their blessing, say friends.

“Dominic and Evangeline have decided that now is the time to make it official,” revealed an insider. “They’ve been through breakups and makeups and feel that their love has stood the test of time.”

Dominic’s parent’s “couldn’t have been happier” with their plans to marry.

Just three months after splitting up, Lost lovers Evangeline Lilly and Dominic Monaghan have quietly patched things up. The 28-year-old Canadian even flew from Hawaii, where the ABC show films, to Hollywood for the opening of Dominic’s photography show on March 13.

“They never stopped loving each other,” a source tells Star,. “She remained in Hawaii for the show, and he moved back to L.A. when he was killed off, so the distance took its toll. They decided to take a break, but it was really hard on them both.”

Frequent telephone calls and visits just reinforced to Evangeline and Dominic, that they belonged together. “It was as simple as that.”

Dominic Monaghan will star in MGM’s psychological thriller Pet, which will be directed by Edna McCallion. Monaghan will play a man who bumps into his old high school crush, becomes obsessed with her, and takes her captive, but soon suspects that she is not who she seems to be. Shooting is set to begin in the next few weeks. Monaghan appeared on the Season 4 premiere of ABC’s Lost and will star with Ron Perlman in Glenn McQuaid’s zombie movie I Sell the Dead.

LOST star Evangeline Lilly once worked as a car mechanic and knows more about vehicles than her boyfriend Dominic Monaghan.

The 27-year-old has been dating Lost co-star Monaghan for two years, and isn’t afraid to show off her automobile prowess. She says, “I seem to date men who always know less about cars than I do. If I have a flat tyre with my boyfriend, I’m always the one to change it. “There was a record for the most oil changes in one day. Within my first two months I broke it.”

Actor Dominic Monaghan believes he should have been a homosexual – because he loves make-up, painting his nails and wearing skirts.

The British star, who is dating his Lost castmate Evangeline Lilly, freely admits to being a “metrosexual”.

He says, “I wear make-up and I paint my nails. I wear high heels. This is all true. I like wearing skirts. I should probably be gay but I like women too much. I am kind of metrosexual in the sense that, if I do get lost, I do ask for directions. I pull over to gas stations and ask. So I don’t know. I guess guys have a lot of pride.”
