The DJ, who was seriously injured in a plane crash that claimed the lives of 4 others last year, has teamed up with producers at MTV to create the show tentatively titled “Gone Too Far”.

Cameras will document Adam, who has struggled with substance abuse in the past, as he attempts to help people suffering from various drug addictions.

DJ AM was scheduled to fly on the doomed Continental flight that crashed in Buffalo!‏

UPDATE!: DJ AM ALMOST IN SECOND PLANE CRASH!!

DJ AM, in an incredible sequence of events, was scheduled to fly on the doomed Continental flight that crashed in Buffalo and killed 49 people — it would have been his second plane crash in six months.

He was booked on the flight but had a bad feeling about it and canceled and drove instead.

DJ AM now says his flying days are over. He will only book gigs if he can drive to them.

As a result, DJ AM’s management team released the following press release today:

It’s with deep regret that Enclave and Adam “DJ A.M.” Goldstein and management inform you that Adam has personally decided to opt out of all gigs requiring him to fly. He was scheduled to board a flight that he had a “bad feeling about” a few weeks ago. Instead, Adam took it upon himself to drive to the venue because he didn’t want to chance anything. That flight later crashed and resulted in deaths and critical injury.

Please accept our apologies and we look forward to letting you know when Adam is comfortable making the long flight again!

Mandy Moore and DJ AM split up, again!

Mandy Moore, 24, and Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein — who rekindled their romance after she rushed to his side following a Sept. 19 plane crash that killed four and left AM in a burn unit — have called it quits.

“They split up a couple of weeks ago but kept it kind of quiet,” an insider tells Life & Style. “They tried to make it work but decided they make better friends than lovers.”

AM, 35, hasn’t wasted time getting back on the dating scene. He’s already seeing American Apparel model Hayley Wood, 22. “She’s young and super cool,” says the insider. “AM says Mandy’s very happy for him.”

DJ AM Files Lawsuit in Fatal Learjet Crash

spl69585_002.jpg

DJ AM became the final passenger aboard a doomed Learjet to file a lawsuit blaming the pilots and faulty equipment for the fatal crash.

DJ AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, alleges in the lawsuit filed Tuesday that the two pilots negligently aborted the takeoff Sept. 19 in South Carolina, causing the plane to overrun the runway and crash.

“The pilots were either poorly trained and/or failed to follow their training,” says the L.A. Superior Court lawsuit of pilots Sarah Lemmon, 31, and James Bland, 52, both killed in the crash.

The lawsuit also alleges the plane was “defective, not fit for its intended purposes and unreasonably dangerous.”

Goldstein, 35, who suffered severe burns, claims pain and suffering, mental anguish, disfigurement and loss of earnings. Among the defendants are the charter company, Learjet, Goodyear tire and the estates of the pilots.

Barker, 32, who also was severely burned, and the mother of his bodyguard, Charles Still, 25, who was killed, both filed separate lawsuits using similar wording, though neither names the pilots’ estates as defendants.

Also killed in the crash was Barker’s friend Chris Baker, 29. His widow filed a lawsuit naming the pilots’ estates among the defendants.

DJ AM and Mandy Moore, back together!

friendly_house_lunch_18_wenn21301241.jpg

Mandy Moore and Adam “DJ A.M.” Goldstein dated for only two months in 2007, but it looks like that was long enough to form a bond.

“It’s back on,” a DJ A.M. source says in the newest issue of Us Weekly , on stands now. “Since the accident, it’s blossomed into something again.”

(Moore, 24, rushed to DJ A.M.’s side after the September 19 plane crash that left him with burns on his arm and scalp, injured Travis Barker, 32, and killed four others.)

Continues the insider, “Mandy said, ‘I like this guy a lot and I want to see where it can go again. Life is too short to not be with someone you really care about.’”

The pair haven’t been shy about PDA, either.

A witness who saw the two at the October 18 Friendly House event in Beverly Hills says, “He was holding her hand, and they were rubbing each other’s backs.”

So after romances with other members of Young Hollywood — DJ A.M., 35, was once engaged to Nicole Richie, 27, while Moore dated Zach Braff, 33, and Andy Roddick, 26 — could the couple make it work this time?

Says a second DJ A.M. source, “When you go through what Adam went through, you need people you love and people who love you. He will never stop loving her.”

DJ AM makes his first post-crash appearance.

DJ AM has surfaced in public for the first time since his horrific plane crash, joining mourners at a memorial service Monday for one of those who didn’t escape the fiery mishap, Chris “Lil Chris” Baker.

Baker, 29, was one of four people killed as their Learjet apparently blew a tire and burst into flames during takeoff Sept. 20 in Columbia, S.C.

He was the personal assistant to drummer Travis Barker. Barker and AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, survived the wreck with second- and third-degree burns and are expected to make full recoveries.

Visibly scarred and wearing oversized sunglasses, Goldstein arrived via limo at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood.

Per the request of Baker’s family, the celebrity spinner and his fellow mourners dressed in green.

Goldstein hadn’t been spotted since leaving Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Ga., last Friday and flying back to Los Angeles. He reportedly attended the weekend funeral of another of the crash victims—Barker’s security guard Charles Still, 25—but never left of his tinted-out SUV.

Barker, meanwhile, checked out of Doctors Hospital earlier Monday and is en route to California on a bus.

Baker is survived by his wife, Otillia Villar, and their 2-year-old son, Sebastian.
