Denise Richards got defensive after the media accused her of taking her children to the park to bank on a photo opportunity and make a statement about how she’s doing in comparison to her ex, Charlie Sheen. She assured her fans that she was merely spending a normal afternoon with her daughters: Sam 5, and Lola Rose, 4.

“For all the negative nellies out there, I DID not have a f..ing photo op with my kids at a park. when there is drama u get followed more,” she tweeted. “Sorry had to vent s*** pisses me off sometimes..one day..I will spill my guts about EVERYTHING.”

Richards continued, “I genuinely love to be with my girls and don’t have a nanny raising them. They are my #1 priority and always will be.”

Although she has been keeping mum about her ex-husband’s arrest for domestic violence against his new wife Brooke Mueller, it sounds like there is a lot of information Richards is hiding.

Earlier this year, Richards spilled a few details about she and Sheen’s tumultuous relationship. She told Howard Stern when she fell for Sheen, she fell for him fast: “He [Charlie Sheen] was 3 years sober and he was working and doing really, really well.” Richards also said that Sheen was ordered to pay her $52,000 per month in child support and $60,000 per month in alimony as a result of the divorce.

She accused Sheen of extensive drug and alcohol abuse as well as threats of violence during their very public 2006 divorce.

Controversial couple Jon and Kate Gosselin have come under fire in recent weeks following the exposure of Jon’s wandering ways, and if there is anyone to empathize with a sticky marriage situation, it would be fellow reality star Denise Richards.

“I’ve been through a divorce and it’s not easy. None of know [sic] what goes on behind closed doors, all I know is there will be light,” Richards told Tarts at last week’s Give & Get Fete benefiting Dress For Success Worldwide-West at the Frédéric Fekkai Salon in Beverly Hills. “So if I can get through a place of being great parents, there’s hope for anyone!”

On the note of love affairs, or lack thereof, the starlet was also quick to slam rumors she was dating Bradley Cooper.

“It’s such bullsh-t. I hate it and it’s such an example that some of these magazines literally concoct something from a piece of [expletive] and make up this whole story that we’re down at the restaurant,” Richards scoffed. “It is BS and I barely even met the guy. We were both guests on Jimmy Fallon’s show. That is it, it’s another one of those. Christ, if it’s Bradley Cooper it’s fine, but I’ve had so many awful stories about me but this just pisses me off that they can just make something up and print it.”
