Martin Sheen has gone public with his criticism of former daughter-in-law Denise Richards’ decision to include his granddaughters in a reality TV show.
The veteran actor fears Richards is making “a mistake” in turning her home life into the basis for a new reality series on America’s E! cable network. Richards recently won a court battle allowing her to feature her two daughters with Charlie Sheen, Sam, three, and Lola, two, in the upcoming show, much to her ex-husband’s dismay.
And now his father is weighing in on the TV project. He tells PageSix.com, “We were hoping they wouldn’t be exposed to that. It’s unfortunate. But she’s (Richards) of a mind where it’s important to her. “Maybe she has to get involved with something to realize how big a mistake it is.”

If anyone had thought that Charlie Sheen might be okay with the idea of his two daughters being involved in ex-wife Denise Richards’ upcoming reality show, they couldn’t be more wrong. In fact, Charlie tells OK! he hopes viewers don’t even tune in.
“I think we should all just boycott the damn thing,” Charlie told OK! when we caught up with the star at The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences event to honor his CBS sitcom, Two and a Half Men. “You don’t go to court and make a stand to prevent that if you don’t firmly believe in it. It’s just the situation where the world is upside down sometimes.”
Meanwhile, Charlie — who was accompanied by fiancée Brooke Mueller — seemed to reveal they will tie the knot this summer. But was the actor just having some fun with the media?
“We’re going to do it this summer,” Charlie declared, adding that they’re tired of being asked when they’ll get hitched. “We’ve been forced into it! We came up with this [idea] tonight. We’re winging it.”
Brooke added, “You guys pressured us into it, so here we go.”
Considering Charlie’s history of unpredictable behavior, it’s hard to know when to take him seriously…

Denise Richards recently won a court ruling that allows her to have her children appear in her new reality show. She says that the new show will help viewers decide if they hate her. She claims that she will bare her soul in the series, but won’t be offended if people still don’t like what they see.
She said:
“The show will be very honest. I want people to see what I’m really like and then judge for themselves. And then if they still hate me then, that’s their choice.”
Earlier this month, it was confirmed that the Wild Things actress would open up her life to the reality TV cameras as she comes to terms with the recent loss of her mother and her bitter split from Charlie Sheen.
I think Charlie should make an appearance in the show. Bring the drama and I’d watch it.

There is going to be an explosive celebrity custody hearing tomorrow, and shockingly, it doesn’t involve Britney Spears!
Denise Richards, ex-wife of Charlie Sheen, wants to star in a reality show, along with the former couple’s two daughters, Sam, 3 and Lola, 2.
Sources tell PageSix.com that Charlie “is absolutely 100% vehemently opposed to this.”
Denise has decided to take her plight to the judge tomorrow afternoon in a Los Angeles Family Court. She wants to have Charlie’s parental rights essentially revoked in making this decision. The couple have had ongoing custody issues ever since they split.

According to sources, Denise Richards and ex-husband Charlie Sheen are set to face off in court this week over a reality show that Denise wants to star in. He wouldn’t care so much if it were only her in the show, but Denise is looking to drag their children, Sam and Lola, into it with her.
“This goes against everything Sheen believes in… and he feels it’s exploitative of the children for the mother’s own vanity and greed,” a source close to Sheen reveals to Extra.
In order for their girls to appear on the show, Sheen has to give his approval. So far, he has refused. Richards will reportedly ask the court to revoke Sheen’s power as father in this particular matter, so she can move forward with the show without his consent.
