Ex-hubby Charlie Sheen isn’t the only one fighting mad that Denise Richards is living in front of the cameras. Her neighbors are so unhappy about her E! reality show that she’s been told to stop filming.

“This is a gated community, not a zoo,” a source in posh Hidden Hills tells Star.

As a result, the mom of two has put her $4.2 million mansion up for sale.

The former Playmate has also run afoul of the L.A. County Department of Animal Care & Control after featuring her 14 dogs on It’s Complicated. Another insider says that she received a letter warning her that if she’s living with more than three dogs, she has to obtain a kennel license.

“She was none too happy about it,” adds the source.

Denise Richards has reportedly put her Hidden Hills, California home on the market after neighbors complained to local officials about the actress using the estate for her reality show.

Richards has hosted network camera crews at her $4.2 million home since the beginning of the year when she started shooting her new E! show It’s Complicated. And it seems her neighbors are far from impressed with the constant filming.

Snooty Hidden Hills locals are also unhappy about the former Bond girl’s ever-growing menagerie of pets.

One neighbor tells the Star, “This is a gated community, not a zoo.”

The complaints have reached officials at the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care & Control, who insist the divorced mother-of-two must obtain a kennel license for her 14 dogs.

A source says, “Denise was none too happy about it.”

Is Denise Richards using her kids as a ratings ploy?

As viewership for her E! reality show Denise Richards: It’s Complicated is diminishing week by week, the former Bond Girl is now out to increase the numbers by focusing on her legal issues with Charlie Sheen and their daughters, Sam, 4, and Lola, 3.

“She wants to continue using the kids and Charlie for ratings, and Charlie is determined to stop it,” a Sheen insider tells OK!.

Denise would need the court’s approval to showcase her girls on her show more. Currently, Sam and Lola are under the actress’ primary care and allowed to appear for 10 percent in each episode. Denise is hoping to increase that to a full 100 percent now by pushing for full custody.

“Denise argues that she shouldn’t be criticized, when Charlie once had Sam on Two and a Half Men,” the source says. “But Sam was only 8 months old at the time, was in a baby basket and presented as a character for exactly 39 seconds.”

Denise’s rep denies she wants to increase her daughters’ roles on the show.

Charlie Sheen has issued an apology after expletive-laden answer machine messages he left for his ex-wife Denise Richards two years ago were made public online.

In the 2005 voicemails, which have been circulating on the internet for the past two days, an angry Sheen rages about what he calls his former wife’s “lawyer bulls**t” in the midst of their divorce proceedings.

He rants, “I guess I should just get used to the fact that… you fire off your nonsense and your lawyer bulls**t and your f***ing e-mails and then you don’t answer the phone.

“I’m just really f***ing mad and you owe me a phone call… If I did the same s**t to you, you’d be f***ing furious.”

And in a follow-up voicemail, from April 19th of the same year, Sheen goes ballistic, shouting, “I hope you rot in f***ing hell. You’re a piece of s**t, f***ing liar… I hope I never f**king talk to you again you f***ing c***. You’re a coward and a liar and a f***ing n***er.”

In a statement released on Wednesday, Sheen apologizes for “my choice of words,” particularly his racist slur, naming his friend Tony Todd, an African-American, “who was my best man at my first two weddings”.

Defiant Sheen also uses his apology to further attack his ex, adding, “For the record, my children did not show up today for a custodial visit without explanation.

“So three and one half years later, the reasons that caused the anger and frustration displayed on that voicemail continue to be manifested on a daily basis.”

The former couple divorced in 2006 and has since been embroiled in a bitter dispute over custody of their two daughters, three-year-old Sam and Lola, two.

Denise Richards has a message for her ex-husband Charlie Sheen: “The gloves are off,” she says in the upcoming issue of TV Guide. “When I keep my mouth shut, [Charlie] continues to fuel [the feud] anyway, so I’m not gonna sit back anymore.”

As Usmagazine.com previously reported – “They were told there were going to be flower girls. But then Charlie changed his mind,” Richards tells TV Guide.

For the ceremony Sheen and Mueller gave the girls necklaces to wear.

“But when they came home I was told by the nanny they had to give them back,” Richards fumes.

“I said, ‘But aren’t they a gift?’ The nanny said, ‘They are, but they can only wear them at his house.’ I said, ‘Have him call his lawyer then, ‘cause I’m not gonna tell a 3- and 4-year-old, ‘You have to give back the necklaces Daddy gave you and only wear them at Daddy’s house.’”

Richards continues, “Now, I know this sounds f—ing crazy – and it is. But this is what I deal with.”

But the E! It’s Complicated reality star hasn’t given up on the idea of finding happily ever after.

“I’m not bitter from this. I know I’ll find the right one, damn it. But when I do I will never get divorced. I’m done,” Richards says. “But I love men. I’ve never ended badly with someone except my ex-husband.”

That includes her controversial romance with Heather Locklear’s ex husband Richie Sambora.

“The timeline was that Charlie and I ended, then my friendship with Heather [Locklear] – which wasn’t a long friendship – ended, then she filed for divorce, and then Richie [Sambora] and I got together after that,” Richards explains. “But I knew that in the public’s eye – because Heather is America’s TV sweetheart – it wasn’t gonna go over well…Because the press made it seem that she and I were having dinner on Friday and I was screwing her husband on Sunday, and that’s not the case. Heather knows that I did not ‘steal’ Richie. She knows it.”

As for the criticism she’s received for swearing like a sailor on It’s Complicated?

“I absolutely do not swear in front of my kids ever, ever, ever,” she says. “I know it’s not classy, but…well, I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, I don’t do drugs. I just swear.”

Denise Richards claims to be “setting the record straight” on her new E! reality show, “It’s Complicated,” but several sources who know the actress say it’s a record that she’s making up.

On the show, Richards says more than once that she’s no husband stealer, claiming that she and Heather Locklear weren’t friends for months before she started dating Locklear’s estranged husband, Richie Sambora – and that the relationship started only after Locklear and Sambora split.

But a Locklear pal says otherwise.

“Heather has phone records that prove Denise was calling Richie while Heather was still married to him,” our source said. “Heather was such a good friend to Denise. She gave Denise clothes and offered her a shoulder to cry on when she and [now ex-husband] Charlie [Sheen] split up – there are even photos in the press of Heather taking Denise out after she and Charlie split. And then a few weeks later – not months – Denise starts dating Richie.

“For Denise to claim that not only did she not initiate contact with Richie but that she and Heather weren’t friends for three months before she took up with him, well, that’s just absurd and an outright lie.

“Denise also claims she’s still friends with Richie – which is not true. He doesn’t speak to her at all.”

Sambora dated Richards briefly last year.

Denise Richards has defended her family’s large pet collection, insisting all the animals are well looked after.

The actress has showed off some of her pets – five dogs, four cats and three pigs – on her reality TV show Denise Richards: It’s Complicated, but has refuted reports her home is overrun by the creatures after a source claimed she owns “over 20 dogs” and that “her place is like a zoo”.

But Richards has hit back at the claims, telling the New York Post’s Page Six, “I will say I have 10 dogs. Is there a law against having a lot of animals? My family loves animals, I live on a ranch, and I provide a great environment for them, so I am not sure why there is so much drama about how many animals I have.”
