When Demi Moore appeared on the December cover of W magazine, she drew admiring glances for her slender figure and flawless skin.

But while most readers are used to a little airbrushing and touch-up on the covers, it appears the 47-year-old has fallen foul of an over-enthusiastic Photoshopper.

A chunk of her thigh appears to have been digitally removed from the cover between her hip bone and a casually draped sarong. (I don’t buy it…I think she just has her hips cocked to the other side)

There is a good chunk missing from what was her left thigh (our right). Underneath the sarong, the thigh continues but appears to be bulging out an inch more than the photoshopped area.

The mistake was pointed out by eagle-eye commentators and has been the subject of hot discussion on the internet.

According to Jezebel.com, W magazine claimed any retouching was done in-house by the staff of photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.

And a spokesperson added the photographers ‘did not do anything unusual or out of the ordinary on Demi Moore for the photo on the cover of W.

‘Demi is an extraordinary beautiful woman and we feel our cover reflects that.’

The actress, who is wearing a Balmain metal mesh and leather dress, was labelled a Demi Goddess in the accompanying article.

Demi took to Twitter today to dispell the rumors,

Demi Moore tells the December issue of W magazine that her film career has been stifled all because of her age.

“The frustrating part is that the type of roles I’d be interested in are not really coming to me.” says Moore, “I hate to say it’s a function of my age [47]-but yes, I think in some ways it is. The majority of [female] roles are geared between 25 and 35.”

On being labeled a “cougar” for marrying 31-year-old Ashton Kutcher: “I’m certainly not the first person to be in a relationship with a younger man, but somehow I was plucked out as a bit of a poster girl. I don’t know why that is. But I just kind of step back sometimes and say, ‘There is some reason, and what is it that I have to share in a positive way?.I’d prefer to be called a Puma.”

On using Twitter to transform her public image: “People are much more interested in what I have to say directly, and that really changed the whole dynamic I have with fans.I can’t impress enough the difference in how people are perceiving me. They’re getting to see who I am.”

On leaving Hollywood: “One of the things that hit me very strongly was the realization that what we do is not who we are. I had worked my whole life. Until I became a mother, that’s the only way I measured my value.”

On Ashton Kutcher: “The most overwhelming part of meeting someone that you already felt you had such a deep and old connection with is that your feelings are greater than the time you’ve had to actually be with one another,” she says. “Now we’ve had the physical time together. The love he has for me makes me a better person by giving me the courage to take risks. I can fail and have someone who loves me just the same. I never knew it was quite possible. As a married woman, I am and will always be Mrs. Kutcher. But I have my career as Demi Moore.”

The Hollywood star, 46, has managed to stay looking like a woman in her twenties for two decades, prompting speculation that she has spent at least $300,000 remodelling her face and body.

But in an interview in with French Marie Clare, Moore flatly denied that she had ever had any surgery.

“It’s completely false, I’ve never had it done,” she said, adding: “But I would never judge those who have.

“If it’s the best thing for them, then I don’t see a problem.”

Moore went on to say that she disliked the idea of undergoing surgery “to hold up the ageing process.”

“It’s a way to combat your neurosis. The scalpel won’t make you happy.

“That said, the day when I start crying when I look at myself in the mirror might be the day when I’m less adamant about not having it done,” she said.

“For the moment I prefer to be a beautiful woman of my age than try desperately to look thirty.”

Despite her protestations, Moore’s surgeon in the US is said to be Brian Novack.

In 2004 a close friend said: “He’s a fantastic surgeon and his clients don’t look like they’ve had surgery. Demi can’t stand it that there is part of her that is not perfect.”

Among the work Moore has allegedly had is liposuction to her hips, thighs and stomach, estimated to have cost $22,000, a $14,000 breast implant operation and $29,000 of work on her face.

She has also paid an army of advisers including a nutritionist, personal trainer, yoga teacher and kick-boxing coach.

Moore married actor Ashton Kutcher, 31, in 2005.

Asked how living with Kutcher had affected her, she said: “The age gap is not relevant at all in our relationship.

“What matters most for me is to have found someone for whom the age gap doesn’t mean anything and most of all with whom I have an incredibly deep relationship with.”

The 16 year age gap was a good thing, she said.

“Of course, Ashton’s youth ensures that I have a completely different emotional relationship with him than I had when I lived with Bruce [Willis].

“We’re at different stages in our personal lives and in our careers. But we look at that as a positive thing because we are massively enriched by having different things to deal with and to share.”

Asked if Kutcher was too immature for her, Moore said: “I’ve met a lot of 40 and 50 year olds who were a lot more immature than him.

“Ashton is very responsible, and he was comfortable from the very beginning with the family responsibilities he had to take on from the start.”

Moore suggested that she might have a child with Kutcher. She has three children with her ex-husband bruce Willis.

“Why not? Everything is possible” said Moore.

Rumer Willis doesn’t owe her acting career to her famous parents.

The 21-year-old daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore admits the family name gets her auditions, but insists she wins parts because she is a great performer.

The budding actress – who stars in upcoming horror film ‘Sorority Row’ – told BANG Showbiz: “You can’t do anything about who your parents are. I think everyone has opportunities and everyone has doors that are open to them in different ways. If you’re talented you’ll get work. If you suck then you won’t. In the end, talent is all that matters because you could go and get an audition, but if you go in there and you suck you’re not going to get a job.”

Rumer is the eldest of Bruce and Demi’s three daughters. She grew up on film sets but only decided to become an actress “recently”. Rumer denies her parents steered her into the industry, insisting neither one has ever tried to offer her career advice.

She explained: “In terms of my parents, they let me make my own way. They’ve just been entirely supportive and extremely great in that way so I couldn’t ask for anything better.”
