Here are some new pictures of Britney Spears and Demi Lovato arriving in Austin, Texas, where day 1 of ‘The X-Factor’ auditions were to begin. Everyone has been dying to see how Britney would handle being a judge on national TV, and from the sounds of it, her first day didn’t go so well.

According to TMZ, she stormed off the set not far into taping her first episode.

Britney Spears walked off the set of “X Factor” moments ago … and according to several people in the audience, she was upset after a contestant butchered her song, “Hold It Against Me.”

Britney did not come back immediately … and four contestants auditioned in front of the remaining judges … and an empty seat.

Someone connected with the show tells us Britney was not upset over the song — and that she “Just took a short break.”

The show is currently on a break — so we don’t know if or when she will return to her seat.

I have said all along I wasn’t sure how Britney was going to be able to handle something like this. Something on TV, with cameras pointing right at your face. I know why they hired Britney – but I don’t know if she can actually handle it!

Along with Britney’s $15 million paycheck for judging, the list of her dressing room demands have also been made public.

Britney Spears and Demi Lovato will be judges on the second season of “The X Factor.”

They will be joining returning judges Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid on the four-person judging panel. Simon confirmed the news at the FOX upfront in New York, tweeting the following message and photo above. “Can’t believe it’s finally happened. Very exciting!@TheXFactorUSA #xfactor #SimonBritneyDemiLa ”

“I’m absolutely delighted Britney and Demi are joining us,” Simon added in a press release. “Britney remains one of the biggest stars in the world, she’s talented, fascinating — and I believe she knows exactly how to spot ‘The X Factor.’  Demi’s had an amazing career in music, TV and film for someone her age. She’s young, confident, and enthusiastic. I think it’s really important that she speaks to our younger audience. The new panel will be dynamic and will work really well with the changes we are making to the show.”

“I couldn’t be more excited to join ‘The X Factor’ judging panel,” Britney said. “I’m a huge fan of the show and now I get to be a part of the action. Simon and L.A. better watch out!”

“I’m so thrilled to join this legendary group of judges on ‘The X Factor,’” Demi added. “To be able to spend each week with Simon, L.A. and Britney watching the best that America has to offer is truly a dream come true.”

Demi Lovato has reportedly signed a deal to join the judges of ‘The X Factor’, and according to sources, Britney Spears is right behind her.

Demi and Britney will reportedly introduced in their new roles at FOX’s upfront’s tonight in NYC.

It’s been rumored that the two will be judging on the show for months now, and tonight it will finally be official!

Demi Lovato is closing a deal to join Britney Spears in the Judges’ seat for Season 2 of The X Factor!

There were two seats open after Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul left the show after season 1.  Rumor has it Simon Cowell is particular about his judges (and why shouldn’t he be?), and wants a brunette for the panel, perhaps to go along with the now-blonde Spears?

It’s hard to say.  Still, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the Lovato camp is in negotiations to have the 19-year-old star judge, in hopes that her youth appeal will be a pull for Cowell.  A younger judge could bring in a younger audience to the show.

L.A. Reid, Epic Records Chair, is staying on from season 1.

Demi Lovato is coming clean with the fact that she has abused cocaine in her past. Not only did she admit she has used cocaine in her past, she claims club promoters offered her drugs and alcohol in order to get her to return to their venue.

Demi entered rehab in 2010 for issues with an eating disorder, drug abuse, self mutiliation and depression.

When asked in a new magazine interview, she was asked if she had ever taken cocaine. “It’s something I don’t really want to talk about. What I can say is that I was depressed. I would come off stage in front of 18,000 people and suddenly be alone in a hotel room. I’d come crashing down and would try and find a way to recreate that feeling to stay up.”

She also admits that club promoters were enablers. “Promoters gave me drugs and alcohol in restaurants or clubs. They wanted me to come back so I would be seen there. They were basically kissing my ass.”

“I thought they were my friends. I thought I was having fun. Being a celebrity can be dangerous. Nobody says “no”. That’s why so many end up overdosing and dying. It could definitely have happened to me.”

She spoke with Fabulous magazine, and during the interview she also opened up about cutting herself. “It started with my wrists. People saw that, so I cut in places they couldn’t see. You do it because you feel so bad inside. You don’t know how to take it out other than on yourself.”

After a fight with a backup dancer during a tour with the Jonas Brothers, Demi entered rehab. She said she wanted to quit, but her mother pursuaded her to stay. “It was really, really hard and scary. I was homesick and lonely and several times I thought f*** it, I’m leaving,” she said.

“But my mum told me I would regret it. This was my only chance. I had 14 hours of therapy a day. I listened to music and learned to knit. When I finally left, it was like being let out of prison.”

Good for her, for being so honest and open.
