Kristen Bell Shares Cute, Never-Before Seen Wedding Photos!

Comic-Con International 2016 - Day 1

Kristen Bell was at Comic-Con over the weekend to promote her new TV sitcom that premieres in September. It’s with Ted Danson and it’s called The Good Place (check out the trailer on YouTube). She’s also in Bad Moms, which looks terrible. Still, I’m glad she’s working because I think she’s great.

As part of the inevitable promo period, Bell did an interview with CBS and talked about her marriage to Dax Shepard. She even shared photos of their civil ceremony (they got married In October 2013, after DOMA got struck down. NICE WORK, you two).  She’s only letting people see the pics now, because the two are pretty private, which I also like. Here’s some of what she told CBS, and you can watch the interview on their site.

On her success at 36
“I don’t deserve to be here. I worked hard, but I was also in the right place at the right time. And I’m really, really grateful for the jobs that I’ve had.”

On what she gets insecure about
“I feel stupid sometimes. That’s a truthful insecurity. I am around so many talented artists and intellectuals and creative people. I spend a lot of time with people that are smarter than me. So one of my truthful insecurities is that I feel stupid a lot.”

On her early career
“I wasn’t homely or awkward enough to play the awkward girl, but I wasn’t pretty enough to play the love interest. I was somewhere down the middle.”

On Veronica Mars
“Veronica Mars was the advice that high schoolers needed: ‘If you don’t fit in, make your own category.’”

On the importance of her family
“I always think, if I’m on my deathbed, what am I gonna be thinking about? And it won’t be some random movie I participated in, or some TV show. It will be my family.”

On her wedding with Dax
“We got married in a tiny room in the Beverly Hills courthouse, and it was still one of the best days of my life.”

Maybe you’re not the biggest fish, but that’s okay?”
“Those big fish sometimes have a real hard time. They can’t — I can still go to the grocery store. So I think I’m really happy with the size fish that I am.”

Here are photos that Kristen shared on CBS…they’re not the best, but they’ll do. Did I mention I love Kristen? She’s like the perfect version of a celeb I can imagine. Grounded, private but still open, and chill AF.

Did Jason Bateman Play Cupid For Dax Shepard And Kristen Bell?

Jerry Seinfeld Hosts Inaugural Los Angeles Fatherhood Lunch To Benefit Baby Buggy

Actor Jason Bateman worked with both Kristen Bell (Couples Retreat, Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and Dax Shepard (This is Where I Leave You) and it turns out he had a little to do with Dax finally popping the question a few years back.  At the first Fatherhood Lunch for Baby Buggy, the two actors talked about the prodding.

Dax dished as he talked to reporters with Jason, “Jason was first to go, ‘Stop f—ing around and marry Kristen.  And then you (speaking at Jason) immediately transitioned into ‘Get her pregnant.’  I would say you were at the very forefront of cracking the whip on that. And you were dead right.”   The two wound up getting married in 2013 after several years of being engaged, waiting until gay marriage was legal in California.

The former Parenthood star also shared that his daughter is doing very well.  He joked about oldest daughter Lincoln, 2, “Our kid just took her first SAT Prep course. She did pretty well. There’s always room for improvement.”

Kristen Bell Wants Hubby Dax Shepard To Have A Vasectomy

Kristen Bell Wants Hubby Dax Shepard To Have A Vasectomy

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are already parents to two daughters, Lincoln and Delta – and apparently she doesn’t want to have any more children!

She joked that she wants her hubby to get “his tubes tied” so that she won’t get pregnant again.

She revealed, “Maybe I’ll be a stay-at-home mom. Maybe I’ll have had five more kids… No, I don’t want to be outnumbered! I think we’re stopping at two. I’m not even sharing a soda with Dax until he gets his tubes tied!”

Kristen also said that she worried about becoming a parent who wasn’t fun prior to having children. She said to Natural Health magazine, “Before we had kids, I’d say to Dax, ‘I don’t want to be like those people.’ I saw a few parents I didn’t envy and was terrified I’d become crotchety and close-minded like them.”

She added, “And he said, ‘Those people had bad personalities before they had kids.’ Which is maybe the best point ever made. I was like, ‘You’re right! And we’re fun, so let’s stay fun.'”

Why Did Dax and Kristen Name Their Daughter “Delta?”

The 2014 Toronto Internation Film Festival - 'The Judge' Premiere

Kristen Bell may get credit for 33 hours of labor with her and Dax Shepard’s second kid, Delta, but Dax gets cred for her name!

Dax talkled to Ellen about Kristen’s birth, but also about the origin of their second daughter’s unusual moniker:

“It was a joke because our first daughter’s name is Lincoln, which is very masculine,” he explained. “A friend of mine teasingly texted me, ‘Oh great, what’s this one gonna be? Navy Seal? Delta Force? Green Beret?’ “

The rest, Shepard sayid, is history: “I was reading this text out loud to Kristen and I said, ‘Oh, Steve said, “What if we named her Delta?” Delta! Delta Bell Shepard! That’s it!’ And that’s it.”
