Soccer star David Beckham has treated his wife Victoria to a vineyard – so she can make her own fine wine.
The L.A. Galaxy star reportedly paid a seven-figure sum for the Californian yard as a birthday present for former Spice Girl, who turned 34 last month.
According to British newspaper The Sun, the 33-year-old sports superstar has recruited a team to help them run the vinery.
A source tells the publication, “The Beckhams became wine buffs when he played in Spain. The vineyard went down a storm with Victoria. She was delighted.”

Leona Lewis and soccer ace David Beckham have reportedly been lined up to star in the closing ceremony of the Beijing Olympics in China this summer.
To mark China’s official handover of the global sporting event to Britain for the London 2012 Games, the L.A. Galaxy player will make an appearance while Bleeding Love hitmaker Lewis will sing to an estimated audience of over 150 million.

Richie Sambora has offered David Beckham free guitar lessons.
The guitarist is a big fan of the L.A. Galaxy star and has urged him to give call him if he ever feels like learning the instrument.
He says, “Beckham is a good guy. He’s done so much for soccer in the U.S.
“He’s such a big name and brought soccer to a different level and its now played in schools. It’s just a pity that he doesn’t get to play more as he’s been injured.
“David should come and see me. I’d gladly give him lessons. I’d be privileged.”

Soccer ace David Beckham is to follow in the footsteps of Robert DeNiro, Jamie Foxx, and James Blunt and appear in legendary kids TV show Sesame Street.
The LA Galaxy player filmed a cameo role in the show, teaching a new word to fluffy red host Elmo, last week.
A source tells British newspaper The Sun, “David has always been a huge fan of the show. He was more than happy to go on. He had a great time filming. A real laugh.”
