Courtney Love got the Internet buzzing Wednesday when she appeared dramatically slimmed down in a batch of beach photos – and now she says she’s lost 44 pounds.

In a posting on Love’s Web site, Moonwashedrose.com, she writes under the name “court” that she “lost 44 pounds with 6 more maybe 11 more to go.”

A rep for the onetime Hole singer confirms that Love indeed wrote the post and says Love is following a macrobiotic diet, eating lots of vegetables and fish, and doing yoga and exercise to meet her weight-loss goals.

Love also writes openly about having had a nose job, saying that she has her “old nose” back. “I hated that nosejobby nose, it was like a little beak,” she writes. Now, she says, she had had her nose “fixed.” “[It] looks like the one god gave me so im happy not to have crazy lips and a crazy teensy unnatural little nose.”

She adds, “All i care about is that my self esteem is [limitless] and intact, and that nothing and no situation effects my self esteem.”

Bruce Willis celebrated turning 52 last week, and one of his presents was a makeout session with Courtney Love.

The unlikely couple were spotted in flagrante canoodle March 19 at the Roxy nightclub on Sunset Blvd. “They were full-on making out,” laughs a witness.

The venue was packed for a 9 p.m. performance by boozy Brit rocker Amy Winehouse.

But it doesn’t look like Rumer, Scout and Tallulah are getting a new stepmom just yet. Another source says Willis carried on the rest of the evening without Love by his side.

The actor’s rep declined to comment, while Love’s spokesman described the interaction as “a quick hi, and then they went their separate ways.”

Oh my.  Wow.

Is her nose getting BIGGER?

According to Courtney Love, the Kurt Cobain biography Heavier Than Heaven is going to be made into a movie. She posted this yesterday at moonwashedrose.com:

Courtney Love continues her royal romp through London on Sunday, making a full-bodied appearance as the Queen of Hearts at the wedding reception for British comedian Matt Lucas and TV producer Kevin McGee. Also in attendance at the costume-themed bash: Elton John, dressed as Captain Hook.

Courtney Love spilled the beans about her own love woes, after someone commented on her stunning appearance.

“I look a little chunky,” she confessed. “I got depressed over a guy, and I ate angry menstrual ice cream.”  (OKAY, EW?)

While she wouldn’t reveal the identity of the man who holds her heart (except that he’s an actor), Courtney did have plenty to say about new mom Britney Spears’ recent late-night partying with Paris Hilton.

“Say what you will about me, and I’m not passing judgment, but when I had my daughter, I stayed home with her almost every night for the first year of her life,” Love said.

Supermodel Janice Dickinson echoed those sentiments, and told “Extra” it’s time for the pop princess to hang up her party pants and be a mom.

“I mean, even I had give up my wild ways and buckle down and become a parent,” Dickinson insisted. “Paris is not the nanny; Britney should hang with the nannies and the children.”
