Better fatten up, Courtney, or you might not live through this.

That’s what doctors told Courtney Love after getting a look at the rocker-actress’ emaciated celebrity skin, not to mention her skinny doll parts.

Love caused a buzz when she showed up in midtown last month looking painfully thin.

The former Hole lead singer, 44, told the U.K.’s Daily Mirror that a doctor gave her a shot of vitamins and told her to “start eating.”

“I know I’ve got too skinny,” the formerly voluptuous blond said. “I know I need to sort it out.”

Love, the widow of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain who died in a 1994 suicide, is feeling the stress from a slew of financial difficulties.

In March 2008, she told police that identity thieves had posed as the late Cobain in order to buy a $3 million New Jersey mansion and loot as much as $72 million from his estate.

Reports earlier this year put the estimated losses as high as $750 million, or basically the entire fortune Cobain left to Love and their daughter, Frances Bean.

Love is also being sued by American Express over unpaid credit.

Notorious bad girl Courtney Love can’t seem to stay out of trouble. In May, the singer was asked to cough up several thousand dollars to pay for damages caused when she wrecked her hotel room at LA’s Chateau Marmont during a visit there from late January to early February, says a hotel insider.

“At the last minute, she decided she had to dye a load of fabric for her new fashion line before flying to London for the Elle Style Awards,” the insider says. “She splashed pink dye everywhere — all over the kitchen and the floors! Once she realized what a mess she’d made, she called hotel staff to clean up after her. They took one look at it and returned with two huge bottles of bleach.”

Courtney left abruptly for London the next day, leaving staff to finish the clean-up and leaving her with an enormous bill. The saga comes on the heels of Courtney, 44, being sued for $362,000 by American Express for allegedly failing to pay her credit card balance. Courtney’s assistant and reps had no comment when Life & Style asked them about the hotel incident.

American Express Co wants Courtney Love to leave home without it.

The financial services firm sued the musician in Los Angeles on Wednesday, alleging she owes more than $350,000 in unpaid charges and other fees on her AmEx Gold card.

The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court, seeks $352,059.67 for the unpaid balance, damages, attorney’s fees and late charges, and says Love’s charging privileges were suspended after she “failed and refused” to make payments.

Love’s publicist said he had no immediate information on the suit, and had left a message with her attorney.

Love, the 44-year-old widow of late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, is a litigation magnet. She was sued for libel in February by a fashion designer upset by comments Love had reportedly made about her on the micro-blogging Web site Twitter.

Last year, Love was sued for $1 million by an advisory firm seeking its share of proceeds from Love’s partial sale of Nirvana’s publishing catalog. The deal, covering such Nirvana tunes as “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and “Lithium,” was reportedly worth $19.5 million. Cobain killed himself in 1994.

Courtney Love is know for taking to her blog to rant about various things including the alleged fraud she’s been victim to and her feud with alterna-rocker Ryan Adams. Well it would seem she’s at it again, releasing a bizarre tirade directed at Ryan and, this time, Mandy Moore.

Her feud with Ryan stems from his alleged theft or lack of repayment of a loan she gave him to fund his 2003 album, but what’s her problem with Mandy?

An excerpt of her trademark misspelled Myspace blog: “Christ ugh igh ugh Mandy Moore ick. The thought of her sticking her tongue down that filthy hatch. I might as well go watch (gory movie) Hostel. Smelly ass, ick. I LOATHE that guy (Adams)”
