Courtney Love has shared her thoughts on the tragic death of Amy Winehouse with Rolling Stone. “I’m not even going to say, ‘Waste of glorious sublime talent,’ which I feel,” Love said of the 27-year-old singer. “I’m fucking gutted. I tried with her, I tried twice.”

Like Winehouse, Love has seen her private life and personal struggles play out in public – most notably the 1994 suicide of her husband, Kurt Cobain, also 27. “We are sensitive, and people around us take advantage of that. It is fucking pain every day and every night.”

Clearly shaken by the death of a kindred spirit, Love summed up her feelings simply: “It’s so awful.”

Courtney Love goes drunk shopping in Sydney Australia and was nearly hit by a car. She tried to cross the street when the light was still red. A kind pedestrian pulled her back and Courtney replied, “stop telling me what to do, I can do what I want.”

Geesh Courtney! Way to say thank you. Maybe she wanted to get ran over.

Nicole Kidman and a slew of other celebrities attended the premiere of Wendi Murdoch’s new film, “Snowflower And The Secret Fan” in NYC. Wendi is the wife of Rupert Murdoch who is at the center of one of the biggest scandals to rock the UK. His paper, ‘News of the World’ was accused of tapping into cell phones, and ultimately the 160+ year old paper closed its doors earlier this week.

Other celebrities include Courtney Love, Famke Janssen and Olivia Munn.

Courtney Love’s townhouse caught fire early Thursday morning, and in an attempt to put the fire out herself, she burned her hands!

Apparently when the fire department arrived on the scene, she refused medical attention.

“We can confirm that we attended a small fire at the location and the curtains were on fire,” a New York City Fire Department spokesperson told Radar. “The owner had burns to her hands and refused medical treatment.”

The fire was reportedly on the fourth floor of the Love’s three bedroom, five bathroom, six fireplace brownstone when officials arrived at 1:52 AM. It has yet to be reported what caused the fire or the status of Love’s condition.

Love is currently renting the property for $27,000 per month from Halstead properties — we sure hope Ms. Love has renter’s insurance.

Courtney Love has some advice for Lady Gaga. In a two-part interview with The Fix, the singer opens up about her drug use, being clean, and staying away from Hollywood’s bad girls.  “What am I, a junkie Auntie Mame,” asks Courtney.

Courtney says that she’s worried about Lady Gaga, all the gay men she surrounds herself with.

“She may be doing fine at the moment, but I’m worried about her future. She’s very young, and she’s very talented, but she doesn’t seem to have any female friends. Or any straight guy friends for that matter. Instead, she surrounds herself with this coterie of gay stylists and advisors who’ve turned her into this weird, sexless Barbie doll. I was raised by gay guys myself, and I turned out all right in the end. But you know, you can only pull off this meat-dress act for so long. If she doesn’t watch out she’ll turn into a lonely drag queen. Straight guys just aren’t in to that kind of thing. ”
It’s true that Gaga’s main difference from Madonna is her desexualization; she does resemble a drag queen onstage more than a female pop star. And that’s a large part of her appeal among her young gay fan base, who look to her as a sign that anyone can be “born this way” and still loved for who they are.

But anyone who knows Gaga’s history also knows she’s admitted to being bisexual and was, up until recently, dating a bartender/diet book author named Luc Carl. She’s admitted to working out her issues with her relationship through song, and there is a rejection of our culturally accepted ideas of femininity in that. But she’s in no way “sexless,” and as was evidenced in last week’s “Saturday Night Live” short “3-Way,” Gaga has no problem taking off the makeup and being a girl.

She may be a lonely drag queen, but she’ll be a RICH lonely drag queen!
