Ashlee Simpson went 60′s chic at the LA Gay & Lesbian Center’s An Evening With Women event at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday.

“So happy to support @RealLindaPerry tonight! … One love ” the 27-year-old singer wrote on her Twitter about the event. The event was hosted by singer Linda Perry.

An Evening With Women “celebrates lesbians, bisexual women, and allies, all to support the center’s vital programs and services for women and girls.”

Along with being an aging musician and master twitterer,  Courtney Love is also an artist!

Love had a show in NYC, and here are some photos to show that, well, not every successful person is multi-talented.  After losing the right to profit over Kurt Cobain‘s image, she’ll probably be needing some extra income, but I’m not sure if this is the right way of doing it!

Courtney Love loses the rights to her late husband/music legend’s image…to her daughter, Frances Bean Cobain!

19-year-old Frances Bean has taken over control of profits garnered from her late father Kurt’s name, likeness and appearance. Legally, Love agreed to step down as acting manager of End of Music LLC, the corporation overseeing funds generated from Cobain’s publicity rights, when she received a $2.75 million loan from Frances’ trust fund in 2010. Until Love ponies up that money, she won’t get any profits made from Kurt Cobain’s publicity rights.

This will probably put even more strain on Love and Cobain, especially after Love falsely tweeted that Cobain and friend Dave Grohl were going home together.

Frances has been estranged from her mother since 2009, stating drug use, violence and the death of two pets as reasoning.  Says The Huffington Post,  Love’s role in the intellectual property has been rapidly diminishing.  Since losing custody of Frances, Love also lost having control and advising the funds in Frances’ trust fund.

What a mother figure!

Hey all, remember when  Courtney Love tweeted about her daughter, Frances Bean Cobain and musician and family friend Dave Grohl? 

Love suspected the two had gone home together, and criticized the pushing-50 Grohl “preying” on Love’s 19-year-old daughter.  Well- it was absolutley untrue, according to Frances Bean herself.  Frances Bean tweeted a response:

“While I’m generally silent on the affairs of my biological mother, her recent tirade has taken a gross turn. I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way. I’m in a monogamous relationship and very happy.”

It’s true. Frances Bean Cobain is engaged to Isaiah Silva, lead singer of the rock band the Rambles.  Dave Grohl, who was also quick to respond about Love’s ridiculous accusations,  is married with children.

Maybe twitter should ban Courtney Love? Or put her in Tweet Purgatory?

Last night on her twitter account (@CBabyMichelle) Courtney Love accused her longtime friend  and Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, 43, of putting the moves on her daughter, 19-year-old Frances Bean Cobain.  Her tweet said something to the likes of “he had that romney rape thing about him,” and that Grohl was a “gross old man macking on Kurt Cobain’s only child.”

Dave Grohl’s rep responded, “Unfortunately Courtney is on another hateful twitter rant. These new accusations are upsetting, offensive and absolutely untrue,” reports Gawker.

Love and Grohl have had a long-standing pseudo-beef with one another, although they purport to be friendly, as Grohl has known Frances since she was a baby.  Also, Love has always insinuated that Grohl rode Cobain’s coattails while in and after Nirvana.  Ouch!  Can’t we all just get along, aging grunge rockers?

Poor Frances Bean Cobain.  Her mom Courtney Love is the center of a new tell-all book ‘Courtney Comes Clean‘ which was written with Courtney’s consent by the editor of ‘The Fix’.   RadarOnline shared a few snippets from a recently-released transcript of court documents detailing the reasons that Frances wanted a restraining order against her mother.  A few of the mother-of-the-year moments:

[Love] has taken drugs for as long as I can remember. She basically exists now on…Xanax, Adderall, Sonata and Abilify, sugar and cigarettes.”

“She rarely eats… She often falls asleep in her bed while she is smoking, and I am constantly worried that she will start a fire (which she has done at least three times) that will threaten our lives.”

Another example of fine role-modeling:

“She took me in a taxi to his (a boyfriend) house in the middle of the night, and from outside the house, in her bare feet, she screamed at him, threw rocks at the house, and threatened to burn his house down.  His children were inside the house, but that did not stop my mother.”

And the icing on the cake:

Frances, claims her mother even threatened to jump off a balcony while she was watching.

But perhaps her most disturbing claim is that her mother’s incessant hoarding and pill use killed their family pets — saying their cat died when it got tangled in piles of trash, fabrics and boxes of paperwork, while their dog died after swallowing Courtney’s pills.
