Courteney Cox continues to enjoy her fun filled “platonic” vacation with Cougar Town co-star Josh Hopkins in St. Barths, France, where the pair splashed in the water with Cox’s daughter Coco.
Courteney Cox is on vacation with her ‘Cougar Town’ costar, Josh Hopkins in the Caribbean. While I would think that means something, apparently not, because the actress insists they are “platonic”.
Courteney Cox and 6-year-old daughter Coco were seen Tuesday on the Caribbean sands with Cox’s Cougar Town costar Josh Hopkins.
It’s the latest sighting of Cox, 46, with Hopkins, 40, since her separation last October from husband David Arquette – they were spotted in Hawaii filming a scene in the pool and in the surf, but in those instances they were on location for the show.
This time, the getaway isn’t work-related, but their rep tells PEOPLE romance is playing no role.
“The relationship is strictly platonic and they are away with a group of friends on vacation,” the rep says.
According to a Cougar Town set source, “Courteney and Josh are great friends. There’s definitely nothing going on there.”
Though the two have parted ways, parents David Arquette and Courteney Cox refuse to get involved in the high profile, bitter break-ups that Hollywood is known for. Not only are they getting along for the sake of their 6-year-old daughter Coco, but the two also have been doing the Scream 4 promotional tour together for the upcoming flick.
“The great thing is that we really love each other and that we’re really amazing parents together, very supportive — I’m her biggest fan and she’s my biggest fan. You know, that’s what it’s all about really.”
“We’re separated, we’re working on ourselves and our relationship, and sort of figuring out what we want. You know, life’s complicated and people go through changes. And I’ve been reading a lot of things about myself, reading books that talk about feelings and changes, and she’s been working on herself a lot too.”
“I really love acting with Courteney. I always have fun. It’s always, you know, we’re really loose and it’s easy to feel real, like they’re real moments. That’s my favorite part about acting, when you connect with something where it feels like, you know, you can actually believe it inside.”
Courteney says:
“It was very easy, we really respect each other and we help each other. I mean, I respect his opinion so much that I’m always asking him ‘What do you think?’ I think it’s very easy, it’s very, very easy to work with him.”
You know what? I’m really rootign for these two. He may be a little kooky at times but I think that what she likes about him…in moderation. While they work on their relationship, you can catch Scream 4 in theaters April 15.
Courtney Cox is on the April cover of Harper’s Bazaar. The cover photo, shot by Terry Richardson, doesn’t really do her any favors, if you ask me. Her face looks messed with – and I can’t quite put my finger on it! Botox maybe?
In the interview she opens up about what life has been like since her split from husband, David Arquette. “I think every relationship has a point where you stop and reevaluate. Are you happy? Have you grown together or apart? What do you share interests in? I think that’s a normal thing to do, but it’s so much harder when it’s done publicly.”
On the now-infamous Howard Stern interview. “If you didn’t hear the Howard Stern interview and you just read quotes, I’m sure it seemed out of context, crazy. Most guys aren’t mature, are they? I’m not saying there wasn’t some crazy behavior, but if you know who David is, you know what his intentions are, how honest he is, and how big his heart is. You can’t really get mad at David because he’s not a malicious person. He’s not out to harm. But I’m his biggest protector. I can’t help it.”
Courteney also opens up about how the split is affecting their daughter, Coco. “She’s adjusting. Luckily, we’ve always had two houses so there was no change in her living unit. And we both work a lot, so that wasn’t a huge adjustment. She’s our number-one priority. No matter what happens, she’ll be okay because she knows that she is completely safe, loved, and we’ll protect that more than anything in the world.”
Now that Courteney is single, is she looking for love again? “The thing is, when you get older, it’s more about compatibility than it is about love … I have no desire right now [to date]. I’m not saying never. It just seems weird. I don’t even know how that would happen or how you meet people. I don’t like to go out. I’m not great at small talk … I don’t like to go to parties…There’s a sign on my forehead: exiting social life, entering into isolation.”
‘Scream 4′ takes place 10 years after the last film, and looks like it’s going to fit right in.
Wes Craven has returned to helm the project, while Courteney Cox, David Arquette and Neve Campbell will reprise their roles from the previous films. The filming was completed before Cox and Arquette separated. The rest of the ensemble cast will be filled out with younger names like Hayden Panetierre, Rory Culkin, and Emma Roberts. The trailer also features Anna Paquin and Kristen Bell as a pair of couch queens who are almost comically detached from the bloody horror that is going on around them. The reboot of the franchise is expected to take the form of another trilogy (via digitalspy).
I loved the first three – hopefully this one will be good!
