Jennifer Aniston plans to toast the New Year with some old friends in Mexico – and it looks like she won’t have to travel far for a New Year’s Eve kiss.
The star of the Christmas box office record holder Marley & Me arrived in Los Cabos over the weekend where she plans to spend the holiday with Courteney Cox Arquette, her husband David and their daughter Coco.
Aniston’s boyfriend John Mayer, who had a cozy post-Christmas dinner with Aniston at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills on Dec. 26, flew to popular Mexican resort town with his brothers on Saturday. He plans to stay there through the New Year, according to sources.
While the couple appear to be staying in separate residences, their places are just a short drive away – and are connected by a private beach perfect for long walks at sunset.
Aniston is making a tradition of spending the holidays with the Arquettes, having spent a festive night out with them at Mastro’s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills on Christmas Eve.

For the sixth year in a row, Jennifer Aniston joined Courteney Cox, David Arquette and their 4-year-old daughter Coco for Christmas dinner at Mastro’s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills, CA.
Happiest to see Aniston was Coco, who greeted her godmother with a big kiss as soon as she sat down.
While waiting for their main course, Aniston and Cox went around to each person at the candelit table, leaning down to catch up.
Meanwhile, Aniston didn’t use the holiday as an excuse to fall off her diet. The Marley & Me star, who sat between Cox and her other BFF, hairstylist Chris McMillan skipped the bread basket and and kept it healthy, opting for white wine, asparagus, and lemon sole.
“She was going to order the petit filet but changed her mind,” a source told Usmagazine.com.
Later in evening, Cox got up to carry a barefoot Coco to the bathroom.
“The Grinch cut off her circulation and she had to take her shoes off,” Cox joked to people on the line – explaining that her daughter had buckled her shoes too tight and that’s why she took them off.

As for Cox and Aniston’s friendship, Cox said recently, “We never judge each other, we support each other, but we’re honest with each other too. I feel lucky to have her. Jen and I grew up together emotionally. We’ve been through huge life changes together.”

Courteney Cox and David Arquette are committed to making their marriage work.
“I get shocked by people getting divorced all the time, that’s why I choose to work on it. Therapy helps us,” Cox told the UK’s Mail on Sunday “It’s so easy to grow apart; marriage takes work. I suppose you can work it out by talking to each other – I would just prefer to have a referee, it reminds us why we’re together.”
Cox’s parents parents divorced when she was a child. “Before my dad died, he said one of his big regrets was that he hadn’t worked on their marriage enough. I don’t know what the future’s going to hold, but divorce isn’t really an option,” she said.
Asked if it’s difficult working with her husband of nine years, Cox said, “It seems like it would be the worst thing in the world but we manage to handle it really well. We argue, but never about work. We love being together.”
A typical Sunday involves, having “people over to our house. David does the barbecuing, and we have a fantastic chef, Patrice, who makes great salads, vegetables and fish. Sunday is my favorite time because it’s really about friends.”
She added: “And, yes, Jen’s there just about every Sunday.”
Cox raved of her former Friends costar and best friend Jennifer Aniston, “We’ve known each other nearly 15 years now, we grew up together emotionally. I lost my father, Jen got divorced, and I had a baby. We’ve been through huge life changes together. I can be myself around her.”
She continued: “We never judge each other, we support each other, but we’re honest with each other too. I feel lucky to have her. Jen and I grew up together emotionally. We’ve been through huge life changes together.”
As for Aniston’s romance with beau John Mayer, “I want for Jen whatever she wants; she’s really happy at the moment, so I don’t have to worry about her,” Cox said.
Meanwhile, Cox stars in the upcoming Disney flick Bedtime Stories with Adam Sandler, a movie that is sure to be a hit with four-year-old daughter Coco.
“Coco’s favorites are Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, she’s totally into princesses,” Cox said.
Their holiday plans?
‘Christmas is insane in our house. I say: “Let’s buy Coco one good toy,” but he wants to buy her 900 presents. Our compromise lands closer to David.”
Aniston spoils Coco too.
“Coco calls her Noona, which is Greek for godmother; they see each other and play together every weekend,” Cox explained. “The other day Jen came over with her yoga teacher and Coco stuck it out for an hour doing yoga with
them!”
Cox also opened up about rumors that she’s had plastic surgery.
“I’ve done Botox,” she admitted. “And there were times when I thought, “That was nice,” but I had one bad experience when I wasn’t able to move my face for two or three months.”
Though the actress admitted she would be tempted to do it again when she’s older, she said, “you see too many people look really strange.”
As for Arquette, who is seven years younger, “He loves the aging process; he thinks it’s beautiful.”

Here’s some good Dirt on Courteney Cox: The Friends actress is returning to the land of comedy with Cougar Town, an ABC pilot in which she stars as a hot 40-year-old mother who’s newly single.
Cox — who recently anchored the FX drama Dirt and has a development deal with ABC Studios — will exec produce the single-camera comedy with Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence, who also is cowriting the pilot.
Cougar Town is expected to be a candidate for the 2009-2010 schedule. It’s a reteaming of sorts for Cox and Lawrence: Cox shot a three-episode guest arc on Scrubs that is slated to air later this season.
