Christina Ricci has hit out at Hollywood stars who blame the media for their lack of privacy and personal woes.
The actress, 28, has grown tired of the complaints of her fellow stars – claiming their predecessors were forced to work in much more difficult conditions.
Ricci says, “It used to be stricter. You couldn’t go places, you had to get approval from people, they had a say in who you dated, and you were basically their property and a public figure, and had no claims or rights to a private life. So, in a lot of ways, it’s better.”

Christina Ricci has taken aim at Lindsay Lohan for playing a stripper on screen and setting a poor example to young girls.
Ricci claims stars like Lohan, who peeled off in 2007 movie I Know Who Killed Me, have created a culture of women who find flattery in misogyny.
She says, “It used to be something that we (women) were sort of ashamed of. You didn’t want to admit to people that you were a stripper. But now, the hottest thing to say is, ‘I can work a pole!’ Who gives a f***? But it’s a huge weird thing. I mean, you see actresses, and their passion project is to play a stripper. It’s just stupid.”

Move over, Justin.
Jessica Biel has found a new No. 1 fan in Christina Ricci.
The 5-foot-tall actress – who had to fill out a pair of barely-there hot pants for her upcoming role in Speed Racer, directed by The Matrix’s Andy and Larry Wachowski – is full of praise for Biel’s famously fit physique.
“I asked my trainer, ‘Can you give me Jessica Biel’s butt?’” the actress – who starred with Biel’s beau Timberlake in last year’s Black Snake Moan – tells the U.K. edition of Elle. “I want a bigger butt.”
Alas, because of her tiny frame, “they said I couldn’t,” she laments. “Everyone wants what they can’t have!”
She may never be bootylicious, but Ricci – who battled anorexia as a teenager – says she’s learned to love her body nonetheless.
“Young girls have body issues and I was not exception, except that I happened to be famous,” the 28-year-old says. “I conquered it, but it stays with you. I do not starve myself now – my weakness is candy and sweets. It’s my only vice!”
In fact, the Addams Family alum said she given up weighing herself.
“I do not want to waste one more minute of my life feeling bad about the way I look,” she explains. “If you’re obsessed with how you look in your bikini, you’re not going to have much fun at the beach.”

Christina Ricci is ready and prepared to go under the knife to improve her looks, if the aging process kicks in too early. The 28-year-old insists she is happy with her body thus far, but has no problem with cosmetic surgery – and loves the idea of being given strong medication to deal with the pain.
Ricci explains, “(I’d have surgery) if I aged in a really unfortunate manner. Or something happened, like the skin on my knee dropped. “I don’t mind having dental work or any surgery, because I like the pills they give you.”
Wow, that’s kind of deep there. She likes the pills? Is Christina Ricci the next to hit rehab?

Christina Ricci wants to reinvent herself as a big budget action star. The actress confesses she was bitten by the action bug while starring in racecar thriller Speed Racer – and she is calling on directors to offer her more high-impact roles.
She says, “I just did Speed Racer. There’s a lot of action and fighting. I really got into it. “Ever since then I want to be an action star. I’m too small to be a reasonable action star. But I can be a spy, because it’s good to be small if you’re a spy. Because I can fit into small spaces. “I also want to play a cop. I also wanna have that uniform.”
