“The Voice” star Christina Aguilera and her beau Matt Rutler were spotted in New York City last night, May 3, heading out to a cozy dinner for two at Babbo.
You know, initially I gave this couple a two month limit before they broke up, but they’re actually starting to grow on me.Wouldn’t hurt to crack a smile, though.

I’m totally bummed I missed the first episode of ‘The Voice’ this week on NBC, from what I hear it was amazing!
Vocal coaches Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green helped NBC score a ratings hit (and they need it!).
More good news for NBC: Even its repeat of The Voice performed strong. Wednesday night’s two-hour encore of Tuesday’s Voice premiere delivered a rating that was actually the network’s highest number in that time period in a month.
The Voice picked up another 6 million viewers — half its debut audience — and had a 2.1 rating in the adult demo. The show would have posted a 2.3 rating, because that’s what it had in three of its half-hours, but the program’s first half hour — and this is where it gets interesting — overlapped with American Idol. That part was only a 1.7. While Idol gained during each of its half hours, including the part that overlapped with The Voice.
Now, since The Voice was a repeat, we can’t read too much into this, but its probably fair to say these two definitely have some audience overlap.
Meanwhile, Idol (21.7 million viewers, 6.9 preliminary adults 18-49 rating) was roughly on par, while Breaking In (7.6 million, 2.6) gained slightly to rank as the night’s highest-rated comedy.

Christina Aguilera stopped by the ‘Ellen Degeneres Show’ and opened up about her now-famous Super Bowl performance in an interview that will air today.
She said, “I had been singing that song my entire life. I was the youngest anthem singer in my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. I sang for the “Steelers” when I was this big (as a child.) I think 7 or 8 years old. I would sing for them. I think had a moment where I was at the “Super bowl” at 30 years old. I took in the moment a little bit too much. Shoot me for appreciating the moment but here I am at the “Super bowl”…singing for a team and in front of the world. And remembering what it was like to be that young and look where I made it now. And then it was like, oh. That night I knew, I just made myself a Trivial Pursuit question…In 2011 what female singer, ya know, flubbed the lyrics. It’s just insane. But I have a really good laugh about it and you get over things. You get back up again and you just prove to yourself and to everyone you that much stronger.”
Gotta feel for the girl. I can’t image the pressure of singing the National Anthem in front of millions of people. It’s bad enough to mess it up – but even worse to be crucified in public for it!
You can see the full interview on Ellen today.

Christina Aguilera brought star power to The Abbey in Hollywood last night as she was there to help celebrate their 20th Anniversary in a curve showing dress and red lipstick.

Three days after a wine-drenched feast at Osteria Mozza led to her public intoxication bust, Christina Aguilera and beau Matthew Rutler returned to the L.A. eatery and ordered two bottles of wine, reports the new issue of Us Weekly.
“She acted as if the arrest never happened,” a Mozza source tells Us. “When their server offered them dessert, they asked for more wine.”
When it was time to leave, “she seemed tipsy,” the observer notes.
Since her arrest, Aguilera hasn’t changed her hard-drinking habits because “she doesn’t think things are that bad,” an insider says.
Aguilera acknowledged the split from Bratman has been difficult, but those close to her say her new man Matthew Rutler — who was arrested for DUI during the singer’s public intoxication incident — is part of the problem. Calling him an “enabler,” they say Aguilera is turning to alcohol more frequently as she battles her career and personal issues.
“Everyone is worried sick,” says a concerned friend. “She needs to get help before something even more serious happens.”
