Christina Aguilera will be the guest judge on this Thursday’s Project Runway (October 15th). The contestants have to design a costume that Christina can wear in one of her concert’s.
Project Runway airs at 10:00PM ET/PT on Lifetime, on Thursdays!

Christina Aguilera overcame the childhood pain she suffered at the hands of an abusive father by channelling her emotions into music.
The Beautiful hitmaker has opened up about her violent father Fausto in a new TV documentary, admitting that the U.S. army sergeant made life hell for her, her mother and sister Rachel.
She tells E!, “I witnessed a lot of unpleasant things - a lot of pushing and shoving and fighting and quarrelling. Growing up I did not feel safe. Feeling powerless is the worst feeling in the world. I turned to singing as an outlet. The pain at home is where my love for music came from.”
Aguilera’s mother, Shelly, describes the extent of the abuse in the documentary, recalling one horrific incident when she found a four-year-old Aguilera with blood dripping from her chin.
The singer’s mother says, “I scooped her up and said, ‘Oh my God. What’s wrong?’ She told me, ‘Daddy wanted to take a nap and I made too much noise.’”
Aguilera’s mother eventually fled from her violent husband, taking her daughters to live with their grandmother.
Her father has since begged forgiveness but the pop star has no desire to have a relationship with him, adding, “I let him back into my life briefly but I soon realised that he is not necessary in my life.”

The sixth season of Project Runway – finally out of the courts and moving to Los Angeles when it premieres on Lifetime August 20 – will lose no time amping up the Hollywood glam factor. For one of the show’s biggest challenges, the designers will have to work their magic on powerhouse pop diva Christina Aguilera and designer Bob Mackie, the so-called Sultan of Sequins, and make a costume for Aguilera to wear in concert.
“The contestants were beside themselves when they heard who they were designing for,” Runway executive producer Jane Cha tells TVGuideMagazine.com. “They couldn’t believe it was Christina. And they really had to think about it, because costuming is not their forte.”
But it is the forte of the legendary Mackie, who is best known for outfitting Cher and Tina Turner. “We tap into his archives, so it was very interesting,” says Cha. “For the designers, it will be lots of glitz and glam for the stage, and that’s very different from American sportswear.”
Was Aguilera pleased with her new garments? “She was really happy with the results,” says Cha.

Christina Aguilera will release a new flanker to her 2007 eponymous perfume called By Night. Last year she introduced another fragrance titled Inspire. Christina Aguilera By Night is said to be inspired by the color red. The singer explained why she chose it:
Red is THE color. It is unparalleled in its seductiveness and femininity. This is the reason why I have selected it for this perfume. Red stands for passion and warmth, red allows a woman to appear sexy to others and to feel sexy to herself…
The tag line is “By Night, it’s all you need to wear.”
The perfume is a fruity oriental. Top notes are mandarin, red apple, freesia, almond accord; heart notes are vanilla flower, peach; base notes are amber and black vanilla.
By Night launches in October 2009.
