Christie Brinkley stops by The Grove in California for an interview with ‘Extra’s’ Maria Menounos about her role in ‘Chicago!’ Man does she never age? Christie looks gorgeous!
After her critically-acclaimed debut as Roxie Hart on Broadway and in London’s West End, Christie Brinkley, one of the world’s most successful supermodels, will make her San Diego debut this Spring as she reprises her killer role in the six-time Tony Award®-winning musical smash hit CHICAGO. Also joining the cast is star of “Seinfeld” and “Family Feud”, John O’Hurley as Billy Flynn. This tale of greed, murder, corruption and show biz is filled with hit songs such as All That Jazz, Cell Block Tango and Razzle Dazzle. CHICAGO features some of the most electrifying dancing seen on Broadway — and with a gorgeous ensemble, performing sizzling numbers choreographed in the style of Bob Fosse.

Peter Cook just won’t or can’t keep his mouth shut. Now that Christie Brinkley is finally speaking about their divorce, he slams her down once again.
Giving her first TV interview about the dispute four years since it began, the 58-year-old supermodel accused Cook, 53, of “character assassination” and said tearfully, “I just want peace. And every time I have any joy or any kind of success in anything, he has to try to destroy it.”
In a statement that appeared in the New York Post’s Page Six Wednesday, Cook wasn’t feeling particularly peaceful. “Christie was entirely dishonest about the circumstances surrounding the current court action which was precipitated by her and . . . is doing further damage to our children,” says Cook, who has a biological daughter, Sailor, 13, with the Chicago star; he also adopted Jack, Brinkley’s 17-year-old son with second husband Richard Taubman.
Cook added that he was “shocked by the blatant lies she told regarding our divorce proceedings of four years ago, including denying the indisputable fact that she fought for an open courtroom despite the warnings it would harm our children . . . [she] will stop at nothing to continue the drama in our lives in order to harass me and keep herself relevant in the media.”
“[She] does not want peace, she wants attention.” Cook acknowledges that he was unfaithful to Brinkley, cheating on her with Diana Bianchi, 18 at the time of their fling. “I wish she would find a way to move on.”
They both do need to move on, but he really needs to quit talking smack about Christie to the press. He is the one who needs to be quite.
What do you think? It’s been 4 years. Do they need to keep bringing up their divorce to the social medias?

It has been over four years since Christie Brinkley’s divorce from Peter Cook. After keeping silent, she is now ready to talk and share her point of view.
Appearing on TODAY Tuesday, the 58-year-old supermodel and actress said she’s “turned the other cheek” while her husband of 12 years vilified her in the press. “There’s not one quote from me anywhere. This is the first time I’ve ever been on a show [to talk about the breakup].”
“Since the day that he realized that I wasn’t coming back, there has been a real character assassination going on. I asked for and got a confidentiality agreement with the original divorce. I alone have maintained the confidentiality agreement. I had offers for a sympathetic show from Oprah, Jeff Zucker offered me an hour on primetime. Everybody asked me to come on. I did not want to do it.”
Brinkley added: “I have never gone on a TV show. Peter went on Barbara Walters, he went on Geraldo Rivera, he went back on Geraldo Rivera, he went on Good Morning America. So let’s ask him, why is he doing that?”
The Chicago star admitted that she’s become embarrassed by the public spectacle her 53-year-old ex has created.
“I have never taken part in name calling. The only thing that have ever said, after my second trial. . .I simply said as a public service: ‘Google divorcing a narcissist.’ Because I’m not alone. I’ve gotten hundreds of letters from women that are going through this,” Brinkley said. “It’s not easy.”
Their son Sailor, 13, “has been with me full-time for the past seven months,” Brinkley added.
The supermodel ended the interview fighting back tears, telling host Matt Lauer, 54: “[Peter] continues to contact me. I just want peace. And every time I have any joy or any kind of success in anything, he has to try to destroy it.”
Divorce is hard on everyone involved. Hopefully Christie will find the peace she is looking for in this situation.

No, I don’t see any Chrisitie, it’s all good.
Even in that picture, Christie Brinkley is still one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. Here she is at the Super Saturday Ovarian Cancer Benefit in Watermill, New York on July 31, 2010.
She also showed off her latest jewelry collection being sold on QVC.
She has got to be on of my favorite super models. Any Christie Brinkley fans out there?

Christie Brinkley and Billy Joel are both extremely upset over allegations made about their daughter Alexa Ray Joel that after a “dysfunctional family getaway with her mom” she attempted to take her own life.
Every parent can imagine the pain and anguish we face as parents of a daughter who is working to recover from the dangerous actions she took while suffering a devastating heartbreak. As much as we hate dignifying tabloid stories with a response, we feel we must set the record straight to protect our family.
The story that ran in the New York Post on December 8th, and has been subsequently spread across the Internet, is filled with vicious lies and attempts to smear our character and that of our beloved daughter. We ask the public and legitimate media outlets to please “consider the source” and to not further exacerbate our daughter’s situation by repeating and legitimizing these false reports.
With much appreciation,
Billy Joel & Christie Brinkley

Christie Brinkley has been married four times, and after the last marriage ended in a headline-making divorce from Peter Cook (who reportedly had an affair with his then-18-year-old assistant), Christie has declared she will not get married again in her interview with Ladies Home Journal
‘I would never get married again,’ she says firmly. ‘With what I know I don’t see why anyone would get married.’ Which is not to say she is not a romantic. ‘I totally believe in true love. And I think couples should celebrate their love over and over again.’ But, she adds, they needn’t formalize it. ‘In fact, right at the beginning of a relationship, I would formalize an exit strategy.”
She goes on to say she feels badly that intimate and unflattering details of her life being public fodder, and that the press implied she wanted it that way:
“Maybe I can try again to clear this up, Divorce courts in New York are always open to the public. I didn’t want special treatment.”
She felt very strongly she had nothing to hide — and should not cower, in life or in the press. As for any future relationships she says:
“I haven’t always followed my own advice, but I’ve always believed that you’ve got to be whole before starting with someone new. You’ve got to find that inner peace. I’d have to feel, ‘Okay, the time is right to be open to that again.’”
