I’m not typically into action/violent films. I prefer the romantic comedy, indie, drama, or suspense film. BUT with that said, I am a SUCKER for the Terminator movies. I cannot tell you how excited I am to see this new Terminator movie, “Terminator Salvation”.
Of course this begs the question, can Christian Bale do wrong? Me love him long time. 5 minutes, that’s all I’d need.
Christian Bale has credited his wife Sibi with keeping him grounded in Hollywood.
The British actor often shuns the industry’s party lifestyle, preferring to stay at home with his wife of eight years and their daughter Emmaline, three.
And Bale says he owes his clean-living attitude to his wife.
He says, “It could have easily gone so wrong for me in Hollywood. The moment you have success, people tell you that you’ve made the big time. I’d been living a rootless life, working on films – without a home to go to. Then I met Sibi on a beach in California and we got talking. Sibi has such a great attitude to life and understands how I like to approach acting and my private life. She’s my secret weapon.”
I cannot wait to see this movie! It’s going to be sad, and dark…but I’m gonna love it!

Christian Bale, who plays Batman in ‘The Dark Night‘ movie, takes a walk with his wife, Sibi Blazic, on Park Avenue in New York City. Just a few blocks away from their hotel the gorgeous couple was spotted by autograph seekers and the paparazzi, who surrounded them. Christian wasn’t bothered at all, and took time to sign autographs for every person who asked.
One word: delicious! I’ve had a crush on him since I was like 8.
Christian Bale only agreed to play the Caped Crusader for a second time because he wanted to impress his daughter.
The actor first played the superhero in 2005’s Batman Begins and his second turn in The Dark Knight hits cinemas later this month.
But Bale is not a fan of the “crazy” stunts he is required to take part in for the Batman movies – and admits he only continues with the role to make three-year-old Emmeline proud.
He says, “People will say, ‘Why is he still doing this crazy s**t?’ But I’m OK with that. I’d like my daughter to see me do these things, as I saw my father do some crazy things and learnt to appreciate it. My philosophy isn’t so much, ‘Do what I do.’ It’s more, ‘Whatever you do, do it completely. Don’t do it half-arsed. Do it more than anybody else would.’”
Emmeline is Bale’s only child with his wife of eight years, Sandra Blazic.
Batman star Christian Bale struggled at first with his portrayal of the Caped Crusader – because he found it hard to adopt the superhero’s trademark gruff voice.
The actor insists that when he first took on the role for 2005’s Batman Begins, mastering the character’s deep tones was a real challenge.
But now, with second movie The Dark Knight completed, he can effortlessly slip in to character Bruce Wayne’s voice.
He says, “On the first film, it took me a while to really get accustomed to the voice but it’s like riding a bike. For the second one, I could just switch on and off any time.”
Christian Bale was banned from riding a hi-tech motorbike on the set of the new Batman movie – because it was deemed too dangerous.
The Dark Knight star claims film bosses ordered a stuntman to take his place in scenes involving the ‘Bat Pod’ in case the actor fell off and injured himself.
The machine – described as a steamroller combined with a motorbike and atomic missile – is the Caped Crusader’s latest gadget.
Bale says, “Embarrassingly, I didn’t get to ride it. There are other motorbikes in the film that I got to burn about on, but not the Bat Pod – it was deemed too dangerous; they needed me in one piece to finish the damn movie.”
Bale admits the machine was so hard to handle that only one stuntman on the set could ride it without falling off.
But he is determined to master the Bat Pod before the film has its world premiere in New York on July 14th.
He adds: “I’ve asked the producers if I can have a go on it before the premiere, so that I really can ride it before I get asked any more of these questions – you can’t be Batman and not have been on the bloody Bat bike!”
