Christian Bale on the set of David O. Russell’s untitled movie currently filming in Boston

I cannot WAIT to see this movie, and I don’t really know much about it! What I do know is that I love David O. Russell – AND his movies. His last movie was ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ starring Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper. Before that was ‘Fighter’ starring Christian Bale and Amy Adams. David has cast all four of these amazing actors to star in this movie, which is currently untitled. Here’s what I could dig up:

Formerly titled “American Bullshit” but currently untitled, the film will chronicle the 1970s FBI Abscam sting operation, which ultimately led to the conviction of a U.S. Senator, five Congressmen, and other government figures.

Jeremy Renner, Christian Bale and Louis CK also star in the film.

Russell will also direct “Hunger Games” star Lawrence in the Weinstein Company film “The Ends of the Earth,” about oil tycoon Ernest Marland and his downfall after he is caught in an affair.

I cannot wait!!

PIC: Christian Bale visits the Aurora, CO shooting victims!

Okay, I just love hearing this!

Christian Bale, who plays Batman in ‘The Dark Knight’ trilogy, flew to Aurora, Colorado today to visit the victims of the horrific movie theater shooting on Friday.

Bale went to Aurora to offer his condolences as an individual rather than as a spokesperson for the production company.

“Mr. Bale is there as himself, not representing Warner Brothers,” said an assistant to Susan Fleishman, the executive vice president for corporate communications at Warner Bros.

Others have expressed the opinion that Bale should do this earlier. A Facebook campaign emerged attempting to convince Bale to visit the town. A young woman named Emily Sanchez posted a request that went viral, reports the Chicago Sun-Times.

“I propose we should make enough noise asking Christian Bale to visit these kids in the hospital dressed in the real Batman outfit. They need to know Heroes can be real too, not just the bad guys,” Sanchez wrote.

“Words cannot express the horror that I feel,” Bale said in a statement released on Saturday, “I cannot begin to truly understand the pain and grief of the victims and their loved ones, but my heart goes out to them.”

Bale arrived in an ambulance around 2 p.m., reports Fox 31 Denver.

I think it’s awesome that Christian did this. Here’s a picture someone posted on the Denver Post earlier.

Good job Batman!

PS: I’m going to see TDKR AGAIN tonight! Loved it!!!

The cast of ‘Batman: Dark Knight Rises’ departs Paris, France

The cast of ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ was in Paris, France during Friday’s horrific shooting in Aurora, Colorado. The cast was set to walk the red carpet Friday night at the Paris premiere, but due to the shootings the premiere was canceled.

We were all horrified with Friday’s early-morning shooting, and the same goes for the cast.

Director Christopher Nolan released a statement: “Speaking on behalf of the cast and crew of The Dark Knight Rises, I would like to express our profound sorrow at the senseless tragedy that has befallen the entire Aurora community,” Nolan says. “I would not presume to know anything about the victims of the shooting but that they were there last night to watch a movie. I believe movies are one of the great American art forms and the shared experience of watching a story unfold on screen is an important and joyful pastime.”

“The movie theatre is my home, and the idea that someone would violate that innocent and hopeful place in such an unbearably savage way is devastating to me,” Nolan adds, referring to alleged shooter James Holmes, whose attack resulted in 12 deaths and more than 38 injuries. “Nothing any of us can say could ever adequately express our feelings for the innocent victims of this appalling crime, but our thoughts are with them and their families.”

Anne Hathaway also released a statement: “”My heart aches and breaks for the lives taken and altered by this unfathomably senseless act. I am at a loss for words how to express my sorrow. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.”

And finally, Christian Bale’s statement: ”Words cannot express the horror that I feel. I cannot begin to truly understand the pain and grief of the victims and their loved ones, but my heart goes out to them.”

In the wake of the shooting, TDKR earned $160 million this weekend. That broke all records for 2D premieres, which surprises me. I thought the shooting would have had a much-bigger effect on the premiere. With that said – I’m glad the shooting DIDN’T deter people from seeing the film. I went and saw it Friday night, which was a bit eerie. Several witness recounted which scene was playing when the shooter walked into the theater and opened fire. During that particular scene, I did feel very weird…. and very sad. I can’t imagine.

While I was sitting there watching the movie, twice security guards walked back and checked to make sure the exits were locked. About half-way through the movie, a K9 police officer AND DOG walked in the theater and just sort of stood there – panning the crowd. That was incredibly eerie, and left all of us a little jarred.

Now about the movie – how was it? I LOVED IT. There are so many things that I want to say, but so many of them are spoilers, so I’ll wait! I’ll just say Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman and Michael Cane all did amazing. It was the perfect way to wrap up the trilogy, and there’s not much more I can say without ruining it for you! I was pleasantly surprised by Anne. I thought she actually did a really great job of playing Catwoman. Tom Hardy as Bane?? Oh man. So good.

If you didn’t see it this weekend, at least tell me you saw ‘Moonrise Kingdom’. Discuss below!

‘The Dark Knight Rises’ premiere canceled in Paris after mass shooting in Colorado

‘The Dark Knight Rises’ was set to premiere in Paris this afternoon, but that’s all been canceled now, after a mass shooting in Aurora, Colorado.

From what we know, last night at a midnight showing of TDKR in Aurora, Colorado, a 24-year-old man entered the theater, threw tear gas into the air, and then began opening fire on the innocent people. Several witnesses said the shooting occurred during a shooting scene in the film, so many people thought it was all just part of the movie.  As it stands now, an estimated 50 people were injured (including a 3-month-old baby) and 12 people were killed. Some reports have that number at 14.

Here’s more from PEOPLE:

At least 12 fans attending a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises Friday morning were killed when a gunman opened fire on the audience in Aurora, Colo., a suburb of Denver.

Another estimated 50 were wounded, including a 6-year-old girl, Police Chief Dan Oates told reporters, CNN reports.

Police apprehended 24-year-old suspect James Holmes – a local resident who was said to be heavily armed and wearing a bulletproof vest – in a rear parking lot of the Century 16 Theater in Aurora’s Town Center Mall, police spokesman Frank Fania told CNN. “He did not resist. He did not put up a fight,” Fania said.

Holmes remains in custody. His home is currently being searched for possible explosive materials or devices.

Holmes’s mother, who lives in San Diego, confirmed to ABC News that her son was the shooter, saying, “You have the right person.” According to ABC News, she was unaware of the shooting until she woke up and had not been contacted by authorities. She also expressed her concern, and told ABC, “I need to fly out toColorado.”

The attack in the theater began when the suspect tossed a canister of tear gas into the crowd through an emergency exit door, reports CNN affiliate KUSA. He then opened fire. Some moviegoers thought he was part of the show.

“We saw people running around and screaming,” an unidentified man told KUSA. Another moviegoer said the gunman wore a gas mask and moved through the theater, firing randomly.

Of the wounded, at least 20 were being treated at the University of ColoradoHospital for minor to critical gunshot wounds, spokeswoman Jacque Montgomery told CNN.

At the moment, the Dark Knight Rises cast – including Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Morgan Freeman and Marion Cotillard – is in Paris for a scheduled red carpet premiere on the Champs-Elysees Friday night. PEOPLE has been told that Warner Bros. has canceled all interviews related to the movie opening, as well as the premiere itself.

In a statement, the studio said: “Warner Bros. is deeply saddened to learn about this shocking incident. We extend our sincere sympathies to the families and loved ones of the victims at this tragic time.”

Warner Bros did the right thing by canceling the movie, and I’m wondering now how the shooting will effect people’s desires to see the movie at all this weekend. I know I had planned on seeing it this weekend – but now there’s sort of this cloud over the movie.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Why don’t people just kill THEMSELVES. Why didn’t this freak sit in his apartment, and off himself, instead of taking out his frustration with the world on innocent people. I’ll never understand it. Husbands who kill their wives and children, people who kill multiple people. Just do the world a favor – and kill YOURSELVES. Now people have to worry about going to the movie theater!?

So sick.

These are pictures from yesterday’s London premiere.

Here’s the question: Will the shooting affect whether or not you go see the movie this weekend?

Celebrities attend the European premiere of “The Dark Knight Rises,” held at the Odeon Leicester Square in London

Here are all the celebrities who star in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ at last night’s premiere in London. Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard, Tom Hardy and Christian Bale were all on hand for the event.

I am NOT a fan of Anne’s dress…. not flattering, just not cute. Marion’s on the other hand, I LOVE. Love, love, love. She is flawless.

PS: There’s a rumor floating around that Anne is knocked up. That would explain yesterday’s outfit (the ruffle at the waist) – and today’s really. Hmm….something to think about.
