Christian Bale Slams George Clooney: Shut Up & Stop Whining

Christian Bale Slams George Clooney: Shut Up & Stop Whining

Christian Bale is on the attack! During a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, Christian slammed George Clooney for his public lashings on the media for their intrusive practices.

“It doesn’t matter that he talks about it,” the Welsh-born Dark Knight Rises actor, 40, told WSJ (via Page Six) of Clooney’s issues with the paparazzi. “It’s like, ‘Come on, guys, just shut up. Just get on with it and live your lives and stop whining about it.’ I prefer not to whine about it.”

Which is not to say Bale’s patience isn’t tested every once in a while — just that he tries to avoid getting too hot and bothered around photographers. As he told WSJ’s Andrew Goldman, “you’ve got a choice” about how you handle those situations.

“I was in Italy with my wife,” he recalled, referring to former model Sibi Blazic, whom he married in 2000 and has two kids with. “I would go to work; she would leave the hotel. There would be a man who stood outside…and say the most obscene things imaginable to my wife…I know what he’s after; he has a strategy there.”

He continued: “Am I able to say I’m not gonna give him that satisfaction of angry Christian Bale coming after this man? But equally, he’s killing my humanity and my dignity as a husband if I do not, and he knows this. So you’ve got a choice.”

Good grief. Perhaps Christian Bale needs to take his own advice?

Christian Bale & Wife Sibi Welcome Their Second Child

Christian Bale & Wife Sibi Welcome Their Second Child

Congratulations are in order for Christian Bale and his wife Sibi! The couple have just welcomed their second child into the world, a rep for the actor has confirmed.

The duo have welcomed a son into their family after it was confirmed at the Academy Awards earlier this year that Sibi was in fact, expecting their second child. The couple have yet to release their son’s name and we have not yet heard what he weighed when he was born.

The actor has previously spoken about keeping family related things private. He said, “I’ve got incredible pride for my family. I’ve absolutely fallen into that cliché of a dad who could just happily talk about my daughter endlessly. But it’s not what I’m about in terms of being an actor. I don’t want people to know about that.”

We will have more info on this as it is made available, but we cannot wait to see pictures of their new bundle of joy. Congratulations to Christian and Sibi!

Christian Bale to Play a Floridian

Celebrities Attend The BAFTA Awards In London

Actor Christian Bale is considering the role of Travis McGee in James D. MacDonald’s adaptation of The Deep Blue Good-By.

Published in 1964, The Deep Blue Good-By is the first of a 21-book series following “salvage consultant” McGee on his adventures and skirmishes throughout Fort Lauderdale as he reclaims items, and sometimes people, for all kinds of seedy clients. Rod Taylor played the “professional beach bum” in 1970′s Darker Than Amber and Sam Elliott took on the role in a 1983 TV movie, simply called Travis McGee.

There was a rumor that Bale was considering a role in Season 2 of True Detective- but he has reportedly turned that down. He’s so amazing in every role he takes on. I’m down for a recurring film role for him- though I can’t imagine them adapting all 21 books…  When is Knight of Cups coming out already?

First Look of Christian Bale as Moses!

Celebrities Attend The BAFTA Awards In London

One of the greater actors of this generation… or so I happen to think… Christian Bale, will be playing the part of Moses in an upcoming biblical epic film by Ridley Scott, Exodus: Gods and Kings, which is due out this December.

The trailer focuses on Moses butting heads with Rhamses (Joel Edgerton) and provides glimpses at the plagues that will befall the Egyptians, including fire, bloody water and a lot of really bad weather. Chariot races and sword fights also abound.

“You say this is not your fault, so let’s just see who’s more effective at killing,” Rhamses  menacingly tells Moses in a pivotal scene.

Also starring in the film are Sigourney Weaver, Ben Kingsley and John Turturro.  I wonder how this will do compared with Darren Aronofsky’s film Noah, which came out this past March starring Russell Crowe?  Apparently biblical films are all the rage right now.

You can see the first trailer for the film here.
