After just eight weeks of marriage, Saturday Night Live alum Chris Kattan and his wife, model Sunshine Tutt, have split.
“Separated for the moment. No plans for divorce at this time,” his rep tells Usmagazine.com.
Kattan, 37, and Tutt, 31 — who began dating in 2005 after meeting at a birthday party — tied the knot this past June 28 in Yosemite Valley, Calif.
He popped the question at Tutt’s grandmother’s home in Gainesville, Texas, on Christmas Eve 2006. He gift wrapped the ring in a present.
“She is so kind, sweet and very beautiful. She’s also very funny which always is a great thing. She’s also very much like me,” Kattan blogged on his Web site in August 2005.
“She makes me very happy,” he went on. “It feels real and honest and I have more of a continuous smile than I have ever had before.”

With Parker Posey serving as “best man” and a guest list that read like a who’s who, including Will Ferrell, Jimmy Fallon, Brooke Shields and Charlie Sheen, Chris Kattan’s wedding to model Sunshine Tutt was bound to be more comical than conventional.
“The wedding wasn’t very schmaltzy,” Chris tells In Touch of the June 28 ceremony at the Chateau Du Sureau just outside California’s Yosemite National Park. “It was a fun celebration and a great party.” The groom set the tone by riffing on open marriage and hippie in-laws in his vows.
“Sunshine had a very sweet, beautiful vow about how much I meant to her, but mine was a little more funny,” says Chris, who’s best known for Saturday Night Live characters like Mango and Mr. Peepers. “Everybody was laughing nonstop but then it got sweet at the end,” adds Sunshine, who looked ravishing in a Judd Waddell gown. After the couple said their I do’s, the party continued at the reception.
