Check out Chris Brown’s new album cover!

chris_brown_new_coveer.jpg

Here is the new album cover for Chris Brown’s new album, Graffiti, which will be released on December 15th.  When I first saw this – without really looking closely – I thought the Chipmunks were on his cover. But upon closer inspection, they’re cartoon characters? Is that supposed to be there?

What do you think? I still can’t think of anything else besides what he did to Rihanna...I’m not sure if I’ll be able to forget that one! Have you moved on yet?

Chris Rock sued for $5 million over “Good Hair”

goodhair.jpg

Chris Rock is having a bad “Hair” day.

A Los Angeles woman is suing the Brooklyn-bred comic for $5 million, claiming Rock stole her concept for his upcoming documentary, “Good Hair,” reports RadarOnline.com.

Opening Friday, “Good Hair” features such celebrities as rappers Ice-T and Eve, actress Kerry Washington and the Rev. Al Sharpton talking about African-American hairstyles.

In the suit, filed this week in L.A., Regina Kimball stated that she showed her 2005 documentary, “My Nappy Roots: A Journey Through Black Hair-itage,” to Rock on the set of his “Everyone Hates Chris” sitcom two years ago.

Like “Hair,” “Roots” also has celebs such as Vivica A. Fox, Malcolm Jamal-Warner and Kim Fields discussing the social and cultural significance of black hairstyles.

Rock, who co-produced “Good Hair,” also co-wrote, narrates and appears in the film.

Chris Brown: I’m ready for counseling

Chris Brown

While Chris Brown vows he’ll abide by all the conditions of his recent sentencing for assaulting Rihanna – including six months of community labor and five years’ probation – he’s eager to get the most out of the court-ordered counseling and anger-management classes.

“I want to understand my feelings,” Brown, 20, tells People. “I want to find out what really transpired as far as me that night. Sometimes when you’re young you don’t know how to express [your emotions], so I think it actually would be helpful to talk to a counselor or to somebody who has an expertise in what those [feelings] are.”

According to Brown’s Aug. 5 probation review, the R&B singer “has already looked into some domestic violence programs, showing that he is taking some initiatives to address this issue.”

Explains Brown: “I wanted to take the counseling upon myself and … just talk to someone. I just need to talk to someone. I wanted to understand the problem at hand.”

Brown tells People he doesn’t think he has an “anger problem,” but says he’s keeping an open mind. “If I do, I will work with my counselor and hopefully channel my anger into something like dancing,” says Brown, who insists he’ll never let himself lose control again. “I don’t think I would get that mad again. I want to be a man, so I have to be more responsible …. I’d rather walk away.”

Chris Brown: “Of Course” I Remember Beating Rihanna

chris_brown_8k.jpg

Chris Brown is backtracking on his statement that he doesn’t remember beating ex girlfriend Rihanna.

In his first interview since his Feb. 8 arrest for the incident, Brown (who pleaded guilty to felony assault on June 22) told Larry King he “can’t believe…that actually happened.”

But late Monday night, Brown, 20, released a statement to “try and set things straight.”

He says: “There have been reports on the Internet that I didn’t remember what happened that night with Rihanna. I want to try and set things straight.

“That 30 seconds of the interview they used of me was taken from a one hour interview during which that same question was asked something like four or five times — and when you look at the entire interview you will see it is not representative of what I said.

“The first four times – or how ever many times it was – I gave the same answer — which was that I didn’t think it was appropriate for me to talk about what happened that night. I said it was not right for me and it really wasn’t fair to Rihanna. The fifth time – or whatever it was – I just misspoke. I was asked, ‘Do you remember doing it?’ and I said, ‘No.’

“Of course I remember what happened. Several times during the interview, my mother said that I came to her right afterwards and told her everything. But it was and still is a blur. And yes, I still can’t believe it happened because it is not me or who I am or is what happened like anything I have ever done before.

“As I have said several times previously, I am ashamed of and sorry for what happened that night and I wish I could relive that moment and change things, but I can’t. I take full responsibility for my actions. What I have to do now is to prove to the world that this was an isolated incident and that is not who I am and I intend to do so by my behavior now and in the future.”

If Chris Brown Violated Probation, “It Won’t Be Taken Lightly”‏

90805w5_brown_b-gr_0411.jpg

Chris Brown’s decision to go out clubbing after court yesterday could cost him big-time.

The singer hit the nightspot Guys & Dolls just hours after receiving a probation order in court requiring the 20-year-old to “abstain from the use of all alcoholic beverages and stay out of places where they are the chief item of sale.”

Los Angeles Probation Department Spokeswoman Kari Webb tells E! News that if Chris Brown broke his probation by being at a “21 and up” establishment, “It won’t be taken lightly.”

“Any time you break the law, you’re in violation,” Webb told E! News when asked whether being underage in a bar would be a probation violation. “If you break the law, you’re in trouble.”

So did Brown break the law?

John Carr of the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control tells E! News that Guys & Dolls holds a Type 48 liquor license, which makes it a bar or nightclub and not a restaurant. This means that no one under 21 can legally be on the premises unless they have been hired as a performer.

Carr also says that even if an underage entertainer is working in a bar or nightclub, they are required by law to stay in an area where no alcohol is being served or consumed.

While Brown wasn’t seen drinking anything but water, his table ordered 10 bottles of champagne.

Due to probationer rights law, the LAPD’s Webb could not confirm that this incident is being looked into.

She also said it can take a few days or just a few hours for a probation violation to be reported to the courts.

Women’s Rights groups say Chris Brown deserves jail time

Chris Brown

Women’s rights campaigners have blasted the sentence handed to Chris Brown for his attack on Rihanna, insisting the R&B star should have been jailed.

Brown was given six months hard community labor, five years probation, and ordered to stay away from the singer after pleading guilty to felony assault.

He threatened to kill the singer and repeatedly punched, bit, and slapped her during the horrifying attack in his car after a pre-Grammy Awards party in Los Angeles in February.

Brown admitted the assault in June and was sentenced at an L.A. court on Tuesday after striking a deal with prosecutors.

But campaigners have criticized his punishment, insisting it sends the wrong message to perpetrators of domestic abuse.
U.S. Women’s Institute chief Roslyn Muraskin says, “I think it is terrible. Here is a guy that beat up his girlfriend – he deserves to see some prison time.”
