Chely Wright!? Who’s Chely Wright!?

I’m totally disappointed!! It was announced months ago in a Blind Item that People Magazine was going to announce the coming out of a female singer. Publicist Howard Bragman said he would facilitate a singer coming out of the closet – which would include the cover of People Magazine, and apparently an appearance on Oprah. All this was supposed to go down on Wednesday, but of course the news was leaked this weekend. People confirmed the story this morning.

I’m disappointed because I have absolutely NO IDEA who Chely Wright is! They made such a fuss over the coming out of this singer – and when it comes down to it, I’ve never even heard of her! I was hoping for something a little more exciting like Queen Latifah (although that’s not a surprise).

Boring.
