Charlize Theron and Prince Harry crossed paths at a May 7th charity polo match in the UK’s Royal Berkshires, causing the rumor mill to go nuts. The Oscar-winning actress, 35, was spotted giggling with the Prince Harry, 26, who was sweaty and in polo gear.
“He was really lovely. Super nice,” Theron told reporters of the chat at a Wednesday party to celebrate the launch of Dior VIII in support of her eponymous Africa Outreach Project. “I really like the work he does in Africa,” Theron added of the “spare heir.”
But Harry, of course, has long been romantically attached to lawyer-in-training Chelsy Davy, born in Zimbabwe and raised in Theron’s native South Africa. Theron and beau Stuart Townsend parted ways in 2010 after a decade together.
These days? “I’m single,” Theron declared.
“My life has been really good,” she added at the charity event. “I’ve had a lot of great opportunities given to me. There’s a part of how much I am grateful…that makes me want to do this work in Africa.”

What has Charlize Theron been up to lately? Haven’t seen her in a while!
For starters, the single actress was spotted out on a dinner date with a hot guy last week in Beverly Hills.
Also, she’ll soon be back in spotlight as she has four movies in production – including Ridley Scott’s highly-anticipated thriller Prometheus.
The epic science fiction adventure has an all-star cast including Charlize, British actor Idris Elba, Sean Harris and Noomi Rapace from The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
Scott has said the movie is ‘the story of creation, the gods and the man who stood against them. It’s not a small film.’
Can’t wait!

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Kristen Stewart is on the top of the list to play Snow White in Universal’s new movie, ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’.
The movie, being directed by Rupert Sanders, is in deep casting mode, with Viggo Mortensen entering negotiations to play the Huntsman earlier Wednesday. Charlize Theron is in negotiations to play the evil queen.
Stewart is a name that Universal has kept coming back to since acquiring the project even as it went through a series of screen tests with actresses such as Riley Keough, Felicity Jones and Alicia Vikander. Emily Browning tested this past weekend (Stewart has reached a point in her career where testing isn’t required).
Stewart, arguably one of the biggest stars in the world thanks to the Twilight movies, has focused on indie projects in between the vampire romancers, and this could become her first studio project since becoming a name. It also would put her in the shoes of an iconic character.
The Gersh-repped actress is currently shooting the Breaking Dawn movies, but the Snow White team has been making repeated overtures even as late as last week.
What do you think? I’m on the fence with this casting. Snow White is a sweet, innocent, loving character. I’m not sure if Kristen can really pull off the sweet and innocent thing. She always looks a bit awkward onscreen – like she’s having her teeth pulled or something. Most characters she plays are more of the tortured type. Snow White seems like a bit of a stretch – I’d be impressed if she could pull it off.

According to Deadline.com, Charlize Theron has signed on to play the Evil Queen in the upcoming big screen film, ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’.
In mid-December, Deadline reported that Theron was in talks for the retelling of the classic fairy tale, which will focus on the huntsman that is charged with taking Snow White to the forest and killing her. Instead, Snow White begins to train under the Huntsman, presumably to take on Theron’s Evil Queen.
Theron, of course, has plenty of experience playing evil; she won an Academy Award for her portrayal of a serial killer in the film ‘Monster.’
By taking on the Evil Queen role, Theron is passing on the opportunity to play a major part in Martin Scorcese’s star-studded upcoming film ‘J. Edgar,’ which stars Leonardo DiCaprio as former FBI chief J. Edgar Hoover. Theron had been in talks to play Helen Gandy, a loyal FBI agent who tried to destroy Hoover’s more incriminating, personal records following his death.

Charlize Theron signs for fans after a lunch at Nello on the Upper East Side. She is then whisked away to a waiting cab.
Just a few days ago, Charlize revealed that her father threatened to kill her and her mother with a gun, when she was only 15-years-old.
She said that her father was an abusive alcoholic and came home one night, banging on their door. She said, “I told my mom that it was my dad. My father said he would shoot us both dead with his shotgun. My mom said she was afraid he would kill us. The next moment, I heard a number of shots. Then I heard her screaming…When I went into the passage, my mom was sitting in a corner of the bedroom. My mother wept and said, ‘Charlize, I’ve shot him.’ Then I saw the body of my father.”
Scary!!!

Here she is stopping by a nail salon in Beverly Hills. She looks mad, but she’s still looks great!
Charlize has definitely kept a low profile for the last couple years. Her last movie was in 2009′s The Road – and she was only in that for about 5 minutes! The next project she’ll be working on is Mad Max: Fury Road (luckily Mel Gibson won’t be reprising his role), but that’s not until 2012!
