In August, a rep for the “My Heart Will Go On” star confirmed her pregnancy, while reports surfaced that she used fertility treatments to expand her family. Celine and Renee have an 8-year-old son, Rene-Charles.

According to a report hitting the news in Canada, Celine Dion and husband René Angélil are going to be parents to their second child.

The Montreal Gazette reports that Celine, 41, and Rene, 67, became pregnant with the help of a team of fertility doctors in NYC. The couple have yet to officially confirm the news on Celine’s official web site.

The duo’s first child, René-Charles, was born in 2001.

Celine Dion has added the title of doctor to her resume, after receiving an honorary degree from a Canadian university.

The singer was bestowed the doctorate from the Universite Laval on Thursday in acknowledgement of her personal and professional achievements.

Speaking at the award ceremony at the Palais Montcalm, she told the 800 people present the diploma is “a very great honor for a little girl from Charlemagne”.

The singer, who never finished high school, urged students to pursue further education, but noted that “the school of life is also very important”.

She added: “If there is something that has guided my life, it’s my wish to excel and go farther, to the maximum of my abilities, to the top of my goals, my hopes and my dreams.”

Celine Dion has hit back after she was named and shamed by water authorities in Florida – insisting her massive water usage was down to a burst pipe.

The My Heart Will Go On star was criticized for using up over 6.5 million gallons at her Miami home, with officials claiming Dion used more water than any other resident in the U.S.

But now Dion’s representatives have insisted that the excessive $36,343.13 bill was caused by a burst water main underneath the property. The pipe was reportedly damaged in May 2007 when the previous home on the site was demolished to make way for Dion’s luxurious Jupiter Island complex. But the star only realized something was amiss when she was landed with massive costs from her local utility provider.

Dion’s lawyer Michael Weeks says, “Except for a few new trees that need heavy watering, barely any landscaping was done during that time. Something went wrong. Once the underground pipe was located and repaired, water usage subsided back to normal levels. By January 2008, the property was using an amount of water that I would expect to be one of the lowest on Jupiter Island.”

Canadian singer Celine Dion has reportedly filed a lawsuit against an architect for failing to meet her demands on the construction of her Florida home.

Dion, who is seeking $250,000 in damages, claims builder Randall Stofft refused to comply with her requests for the construction of her $3 million mansion.

The 40-year-old star hired Stofft to build her Jupiter Island home in 2005, but the octagonal living room the singer commissioned was never built, reports TMZ.com.

The home remains unfinished.
