I think she looks great! The red dress with her dark hair are a beautiful combination.

On how she utilizes the kitchen in her real life: “I don’t cook. I pass the kitchen, but just to get to the other room.”

On preparing for her role in “No Reservations”: “It was like going to school for the first day when I arrived in that kitchen,” she said, also calling the experience, “terrifying.”

On being a waitress: “It was a very interesting lesson how people don’t make eye contact sometimes with the server. It took a while until somebody said to me, ‘Has anyone ever told you you look like that actress, Catherine Zeta-Jones?’” She would respond, ““Yeah, I get that all the time.”

On how she related to her character in the movie: “I can equate some of her characteristics. Not that I’m as completely compulsive and a perfectionist the way she is in the kitchen. Her life revolves around the kitchen and she’s a perfectionist and she’s in control in the kitchen. [But] when I was single without any kids, I used to do that with my career in a way. Not to the extent my character does in the movie. But I did nothing else. If somebody said, ‘Do you want to go to China? There’s a movie.’ I’d say, ‘What flight? Pack my bag.’ ”

On the beauty of cooking: “I was there in a working kitchen. It just fascinated me how everything moved so beautifully and fluidly. If you took the sound out, the clanking of the pans and the sizzling of the pans, it was like a ballet — the way they moved, no one was bumping into each other.”

Catherine’s new movie “No Reservations” is coming out soon. Here is what she told USA Today about her initial reaction to the script:

“I’d been looking for a while to do a different character, to show my more vulnerable side. I don’t often ask Michael straightaway to read a script, but this touched me, and I said, ‘Do me a favor and read the script, because I think I should move on this quickly.’ He read it and said it would be really great for me.”

Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones has been winning audiences over since her sexy role in 1998’s The Mask of Zorro. Now a married mom of two, Zeta-Jones talked to Parade about balancing her career with family, and the one thing that could have ended her relationship with actor Michael Douglas. Read excerpts below:

On the importance having children had in her early relationship with Douglas:

“…There was one thing I had to be sure of. I turned to [Douglas] and said, ‘Do you really want children?’ And I thought, for one minute, he was going to say, ‘I already have a son, Cameron, and I would have to say goodbye. I remember saying defiantly, ‘I cannot live without having children.’ And he went, ‘Me too.’”

On why she’s not a screamer:

“Michael and I have been married seven years. I’ve known him nine years. We’ve never screamed at each other. We disagree, yeah, but we never shout…I did the screaming thing before. It doesn’t work. I’ve realized hat you can actually say what you need to say. People can tell from the tone of my voice. And my kids know when I raise my finger or do ‘the eyes’ that I mean it.”

On not living in Hollywood:

“I’ve been told that it’s not good for business, but at the end of the day, I’d sacrifice career so my children can go to school without the paparazzi pestering them.”

On how her career has changed:

“When I first came to the States, it was like I’d do anything. I had not a ruthless but a nice kind of ambition….At this point in my life, I actually have a life. If I’m going to do a film, it’s got to mean something to my heart.”
