NEW VIDEO: Casey Anthony speaks in a video diary!! “It’s a little surreal how much things have changed since July.”

Casey Anthony has surfaced for the first time since her July acquittal of murdering her daughter Caylee. Anthony is speaking out and showing her face for the first time in a personal video diary she recorded in October.

Sporting a new blonde bob and wearing thick-rimmed glasses, Anthony, 25, talks about her life on probation, how happy she is to have “something to call her own” (her computer) and adopting a dog.

“It’s just a little surreal how much things have changed since July, and how many things haven’t changed,” she says. “But the good thing is that things are starting to look up and things are starting to change in a good way. I just hope that things stay good and that they only get better.”

Two sources confirm to PEOPLE that the person in the video is Casey. “She is desperate to get her story out,” says one source, who knows Casey’s current whereabouts. “She thought this would be the best way to do it. Unfiltered, in her own words.”

In her four-minute, 19-second message, Anthony seems relaxed, though somewhat nervous and awkward at being in front of a camera. She pauses several times to ruminate over her life.

It was not clear how the video leaked, but it may not be the only one of its kind.

“This is the first of many, and I’m looking forward to this,” Anthony says. “It’s a little scary, because I hate being on camera. But I need to conquer that fear at some point, and this is a good start.”

I’m sorry but she just disgusts me. I just can’t get over the feeling that she did murder her daughter, even though she was found innocent. She’s innocent like O.J. is innocent.

JUST IN: George and Cindy Anthony are finally breaking their silence!

George and Cindy Anthony have accepted an offer to appear on TV – and break their silence!

The couple will appear on the season premiere of The Dr. Phil Show on September 12, and the psychologist says “nothing is off limits” during the interview.

“Cindy and George have suffered a horrific loss with the untimely death of their granddaughter Caylee, and they have since endured an unprecedented public attack on their family,” says Dr. Phil in a statement. “Have these attacks been warranted, or not? I looked them straight in the eye and asked some very tough questions. Nothing is off limits during this interview.”

Since Casey Anthony was acquitted, media outlets have been clamoring to score the first interview with the Anthonys. Dr. Phil explains that the interview is being done in return for a donation to Caylee’s Fund, the Anthonys’ charity.

“The couple will derive no income from Caylee’s Fund,” says Dr. Phil, explaining that the charity is “intending to focus on promoting processes to educate the public about – and advocate for grandparents’ rights.”

“We knew that we’d want to speak at some point and we figured there was no better place than with Dr. Phil,” Cindy Anthony said in a statement. “We are hoping that by doing this interview, we will be able to help other people who may be experiencing struggles of their own. We certainly don’t want anyone to experience what we have these last three years.”

I don’t know if I necessarily believe they’re not going to be paid a dime for their interview. I would think they’ll profit from this one way or the other.

What do you think?

VIDEO: Casey Anthony is a free woman!

Casey Anthony is a free woman! She strolled out of her Florida jail shortly after midnight this morning. When she stepped outside, she was greeted with a large crowd of people who screamed at her. I’m definitely upset by the whole situation, but I don’t know if I’m upset enough that I’d camp outside waiting for her to show her face – only to scream at her. I – like almost all of you – feel like she got a way with murder, but I believe she’s in for a rough ride. (We can only hope, right?)

According to sources, Casey quickly hopped onto a plane and headed for Columbus, OH, where Casey has family.

The Columbus PD tells TMZ … they have a Special Duty program, which allows people in their fine city to hire off duty cops for protection, and that’s what Casey would have to do if she wants someone to guard her from the angry mob.

We’re told, however, if there is a specific, real threat … the PD would treat her the way they would anyone else and provide appropriate protection, without cost.

It may well be that Casey did not get on the Ohio-bound jet this AM (an airport official says the plane was carrying golfers) but the drill will be the same pretty much anywhere she goes — if there’s a real threat, cops will provide protection … whether they think she killed her child or not.

Casey Anthony in disguise!

RadarOnline and Star have decided that this is what Casey Anthony MIGHT look like when she walks free on Sunday. Apparently, according to sources Casey is considering changing her name, appearance and re-locating to a secret location. I say – go for it – as long as you stay out of my neighborhood!

So with that in mind, Star magazine has composed a photo of what Anthony, 25, may look like, if she does decide to disguise herself in an attempt to lay low.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the Orlando, Florida woman is well aware of death threats made against her in wake of her shocking acquittal and is weighing her options for life back on the outside.

In addition to wearing a disguise, she even considered plastic surgery at one point, a source close to her defense team told the Sun-Times.

“There even have been discussions about cosmetic surgery, but Casey has rejected that,” the source told the paper.

Upon her release, she’ll assume a pseudonym “almost as if she was living in a witness protection-like program,” the source added.

“If she moves on to another location, then it becomes someone else’s responsibility,” Orlando Sheriff Jerry Demings said. “We will not be providing security or protection for Casey once she leaves.”

As has previously reported, Anthony was found not guilty of first degree murder, manslaughter, and child abuse in the death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee, who disappeared in June, 2008; her badly decomposed body was found six months later — in December, 2008 — in a wooded area not far from the family’s home.

While Anthony was acquitted on the most serious charges, she was convicted on four misdemeanor counts of lying to police. For that, she received four years in jail, but due to credit given for time already served as she awaited trial, she is being released this Sunday.

Amy Fisher tried the whole plastic surgery thing, and it didn’t work well for her.
