We talked earlier this week about Cameron Diaz being cast in “My Sister’s Keeper.” After reading all of your comments about what an amazing book it was, I went out and bought it yesterday. I sat down last night to read it (while the boys were watching some god-awful kids movie) and I blowed through 100 pages! I couldn’t put it down! You guys were right, it’s a great book! (And don’t spoil the ending for me or I’ll kill ya)
I also agree with those of you that said Cameron Diaz is an odd choice for Sara. I’m reading the book, and I SO don’t see Cameron Diaz being able to play that role. You know who I think would be amazing? Mary Louise Parker or Ashley Judd. In fact when I read it, I’m sort of picturing Mary Louise – she would be a perfect choice, in my opinion. Let’s start a petition.

Well, this will be a nice family film.
Cameron Diaz will star in New Line Cinema’s adaptation of Jodi Picoult’s novel My Sister’s Keeper, which is being directed by Nick Cassavetes (Alpha Dog, The Notebook).
The actress will play a former defense attorney who returns to the courtroom to defend herself when she and her husband are sued by their 13-year-old daughter for emancipation. The girl was conceived as a genetic match with the hope she could prolong her cancer-ridden sister’s life.
The movie will be based on the best selling book by author Jodi Picoult. Did any of you read the book?
“Because of my muscle definition, I can get a very man-like appearance, which I don’t like. I’m always telling my trainers, ‘Don’t make me look manly! I buff up really fast!’ … But, I can be really lazy and need someone to tell me what to do.”
I don’t think Cam has ever looks manly. She’s very toned yes, but I would kill to have her hot bod! If you guys can recall, she looks amazing on the Shrek tour.
