Actor Kiefer Sutherland was arrested early Tuesday on misdemeanor drunk driving charges after failing a field sobriety test, a police spokeswoman said.

The 40-year-old actor was pulled over at around 1:10 a.m. in western Los Angeles, where he tested over the state’s legal blood alcohol limit of .08 percent, Officer Karen Smith said.

Sutherland was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence and taken to a Hollywood station, she said. Smith didn’t know whether he remained in custody.

Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weiland and his wife trashed a Burbank hotel room during a rockstar-caliber rampage last weekend, and now the hotel is pressing charges against the Weilands for the damage they caused.

Sources tell TMZ that Weiland and his wife Mary ripped alarm clocks and phones from their sockets and threw them, made “dents and gauges” in the walls, and that there was even blood found on some of the linens afterward. (A picture taken at the scene shows a note attached to a trash bag that says, in Spanish, “with blood.”)

The trouble started when Mary arrived at the hotel Saturday, whereupon the couple got into “a huge argument” witnessed by their two young children, who had to be taken away by Weiland’s assistant. Weiland himself then left, leaving behind Mary, who could be heard throwing things in the room. The police were called, and the hotel is pressing charges for the damage caused. There’s no word whether either Weiland or his wife were injured in the spat.

Weiland pleaded guilty to domestic violence charges against Mary in December 2001 and was sentenced to probation and forced to pay a fine.

An urgent warning has been issued by the Health Department, warning the star-studded crowd who attended the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue party on Valentine’s Day that they may have been exposed to acute hepatitis A. The list of possibly exposed guests: Beyonce Knowles, Leonardo DiCaprio’s girlfriend Bar Rafaeli, and dozens of ridiculously hot bikini models.

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health confirmed that an employee of Wolfgang Puck Catering was recently diagnosed with the disease, and has strongly urged anyone who attended the SI party, or any of the 13 other events catered by Puck between Feb. 1 – 20, to get an immune globulin shot by tomorrow to prevent illness.

When contacted, a rep from Puck’s catering company would not tell TMZ which other events Puck catered, nor would they reveal how many other people may have been exposed to the illness. They did say, however, that no one who attended Sunday’s Governor’s Ball at the Academy Awards is at risk.

A rep for Beyonce told TMZ that they “were looking into it.”

Hepatitis A is spread mainly via solid human waste (feces) and contaminated food and water.

Ray Liotta hit two parked cars while driving an SUV in Los Angeles Sunday night and was subsequently arrested for DUI, PEOPLE has learned.

“Mr. Liotta was cooperative and was arrested without incident,” Officer Mike Lopez said. “There were no injuries.”

Liotta, 52, was driving alone in a silver Cadillac Escalade in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood around 8 p.m. when the accident occurred.

“Officers conducted a test on Mr. Liotta and determined he was under the influence of something, we don’t know exactly what yet,” Officer Lopez said.

Liotta was booked and posted $15,000 bail. His court date is on March 19.

Nicole Richie was charged Friday with misdemeanor driving under the influence.

In addition to the single count, the case contains an allegation that Richie had a prior misdemeanor DUI conviction in June 2003, the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office said.

The California vehicle code specifies that if convicted of DUI twice within 10 years, a person can be sentenced to between 90 days and a year in jail, fined between $390 and $1,000, and have driving privileges suspended.

The complaint alleges Richie was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and an unspecified drug when she was arrested Dec. 11, said prosecution spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons.

Arraignment was scheduled for Feb. 21 in suburban Glendale Superior Court. Richie, who starred in the TV reality show “The Simple Life” with Paris Hilton, does not have to appear because it is a misdemeanor case.

Telephone messages seeking comment from Richie’s publicist Nicole Perna were not immediately returned.

Richie, 25, was arrested Dec. 11 after 911 callers reported her car headed the wrong way on a freeway in Burbank about 12:30 a.m. She was found alone in her SUV, stopped in a car-pool lane.

Richie was arrested after she failed a field sobriety test, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP Officer Todd Workman said at the time that Richie, the daughter of pop singer Lionel Richie, volunteered information that she had smoked marijuana and taken the prescription painkiller Vicodin, but no drugs were found on her or in the car.

Last month, Paris Hilton, pleaded no contest to alcohol-related reckless driving stemming from her Sept. 7 arrest in Hollywood and was sentenced to 36 months probation, alcohol education and $1,500 in fines. That case was reduced from an original charge of driving under the influence.

Rapper Foxy Brown was arrested in Florida yesterday for battery and obstruction of justice. TMZ has obtained the rapper’s mugshot taken Thursday.

Foxy, whose real name is Inga Marchand, was booked by Pembroke Pines Police Department after a disturbance at a beauty supply shop.

According to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, Foxy was held on $1,500 bail for the two offenses. Ms. Brown was sentenced in New York last October to three years probation and anger management classes for assaulting two nail technicians. Brown was ordered to stay away from the manicurists for the next five years.
