Boy George Found Guilty of Imprisoning Male Escort

boy_george.jpg

Boy George has been convicted of falsely imprisoning a male escort.

The jury in a London court sided with Audun Carlsen, 29, who claimed that the former Culture Club frontman (real name George O’Dowd), 46, had handcuffed him and beat him with a metal chain.

(The musician – best known for such ’80s hits as “Karma Chameleon” and “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me” – admitted to cuffing the escort, but said it was because he suspected the man of tampering with his computer.)

According to the U.K.’s Press Association, the singer looked grim as the verdict was delivered. The singer was released on bail until his Jan. 16 sentencing.

Judge David Radford warned Boy George that he was likely to face jail time. “The fact that your bail is being continued does not imply that this will be dealt with by a non-custodial sentence,” he said, CNN reports. “I don’t want any false expectations created.”

This is not the musician’s first brush with the law. He has a long history of drug abuse and, in 2006, spent five days sweeping the streets of New York as his court-ordered community service.

Booking photo of Britney’s Spears former husband Jason Alexander

spl65522_001.jpg

Britney Spears’ former husband is behind bars – after being arrested over a DUI.

Jason Alexander is being held in the notorious Los Angeles county Twin Towers jail.

He is serving a ten day jail sentence because he failed to complete a court ordered alcohol rehabilitation program.

He was originally arrested and charged with the DUI – driving under the influence – back in 2006.

But after appearing in Van Nuys Court on December 3, a judge handed him down a jail sentence for failing to complete his court ordered appointments.

As part of his rehab, Alexander was reportedly ordered to attend visits to the county morgue.

But when the judge found out he had skipped his first two appointments, he refused to give him a third chance and ordered him to be taken to jail instead.

He was taken into custody and transferred to the hardcore Twin Towers facility at 2.30am on December 4.

Jury Convicts former Power Ranger in Yacht Killings Case

2_64_100708_yacht4.jpg

Skylar Deleon, a former child actor on TV’s Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers, was convicted in an Orange County, Calif., courtroom Monday of three counts of first-degree murder, including the deaths of a couple he tied to an anchor and threw off their yacht.

Deleon, 29, was convicted of killing Prescott, Ariz., couple Tom Hawks, 57, and his wife Jackie, 47, who were last seen on Nov. 15, 2004, after departing on a test run to sell their 55-ft. yacht, the “Well Deserved.”

He is also charged with slitting the throat of – and scamming $50,000 from – John Jarvi, 45, of Anaheim, Calif., whose body was left near a roadway in Ensenada, Mexico, on Dec. 27, 2003.

Ryan Hawks, Tom Hawks’s son, called the verdict a “warm up” for the penalty phase, which is scheduled to begin Wednesday, the Associated Press reports. “It felt like a little tiny piece of the puzzle was put in justice,” said Hawks.

Deleon’s attorney, Gary Pohlson, conceded at the start of the trial, “Skylar is guilty of all three murders, [but] at the end of this, I’m going to ask you to give him life without the possibility of parole as the appropriate sentence.”

‘Horrible, Horrible Life’
Explaining the call for leniency, Pohlson told reporters Monday, “He’s had a horrible, horrible life” and that Deleon’s father abused the boy and later died of AIDS. Pohlson also argued in court that his client was not the mastermind of the killings.

In the murder of the Hawkses, prosecutors said Deleon pretended to be interested in purchasing the vessel, took a test cruise on which he and two other men overpowered the couple, forced them to sign over the boat’s ownership and then disposed of the couple in the Pacific.

The Hawkses’ bodies were never recovered.

“Austin Powers” Star Charged in Gang Rape

1010_son_sp.jpg

TMZ has learned the actor who played Random Task in the first “Austin Powers” movie has been charged with a vicious gang rape.

Joe Son’s arrest has been all over newspapers in the O.C., but no one connected the dots — that the suspect is actually Dr. Evil’s henchman — until now.

Here’s how it all went down. Son pleaded guilty back in May to felony vandalism. The plea required him to fork over a DNA sample. Investigators ran his sample and found Son’s DNA connected him to an unsolved gang rape back in 1990, where a woman was pistol-whipped, raped, threatened with death and eventually blindfolded and released naked.

Son has been charged with five felony counts of rape, two felony counts of forcible sodomy, two felony counts of sodomy in concert by force, seven felony counts of forcible oral copulation, and one felony count of sexual penetration by foreign object by force.

Son faces a maximum sentence of 275 years to life if convicted.

Justice finally served!!

O.J. finally got what he should have had coming 13 years ago!!  Hopefully Nicole Brown Simpson’s family will have some peace at last!

Former gridiron great O.J. Simpson was found guilty Friday of all 12 counts in the armed robbery of two sports memorabilia dealers at a Las Vegas, Nevada, casino hotel last year.

Simpson, 61, and his co-defendant Clarence “C.J.” Stewart, 54, were charged with a dozen offenses stemming from the sports memorabilia heist. Stewart was found guilty of the same charges as Simpson.

Simpson sat quietly and showed little emotion at the defense table as courtroom clerk Sandra Jeter read the verdicts.

After the verdicts were read, deputies immediately handcuffed Simpson and led him out of the courtroom.

Simpson and Stewart were charged with 12 counts, including conspiracy to commit a crime, robbery, assault and kidnapping with a deadly weapon.

Carmelita Durio, Simpson’s sister, sobbed as he was being escorted out of the courtroom, The Associated Press reported. As spectators left the courtroom, Durio collapsed and paramedics were called, court spokesman Michael Sommermeyer said.

Simpson and Stewart could spend the rest of their lives in prison for these convictions. Clark County District Judge Jackie Glass set sentencing for December 5.

Defense attorney Yale Galanter spoke with Simpson after the verdict and told reporters the former football star was “extremely upset, extremely emotional.” Galanter said he will appeal the verdict.

Simpson arrived at the Clark County Justice Center at around 10:50 p.m. (1:50 a.m. Saturday ET). Simpson told CNN’s Ted Rowlands on the phone before the verdict was read that he was “apprehensive.”

The jury of nine men and three women, none of them African-American, reached its verdict after 13 hours of deliberations Friday. Jurors heard from 22 witnesses over 12 days of testimony. Chief among the witnesses were seven of the nine people inside Room 1203 of the Palace Station Hotel and Casino for the September 13, 2007, confrontation.

The evidence included testimony from the two dealers, four co-defendants who cut plea deals and cooperated with prosecutors, and hours of often-profane, crackling, secretly recorded audiotapes.

George Michael Arrested for Crack, Marijuana

wenn5178339.jpg

George Michael was arrested Friday for allegedly possessing crack cocaine and marijuana, BBC News reports.

The singer, 45, was busted in a bathroom in London’s Hampstead Heath area after an attendant tipped police.

He was released with a warning, termed a “caution” in the U.K.

“We can confirm a 45-year-old man was arrested in the Hampstead Heath area on the 19th of September on the suspicion of possessing drugs,” a Scotland Yard spokesman said. “He was taken to a North London police station where he received a caution and was released with no further action. The caution was for the possession of Class A and Class C drugs, cocaine and cannabis.”

It is unclear why he has been given a relatively mild punishment for the possession of class A drugs.

In a statement Michael said: “I want to apologise to my fans for screwing up again, and to promise them I’ll sort myself out. And to say sorry to everybody else, just for boring them.”

It isn’t Michael’s first drug bust.

He was found slumped over the wheel of his car in London in 2006 (he later admitted driving while unfit due to drugs).

He opened up about his drug problems last year, telling BBC radio that he was aware he smoked too much marijuana and was trying to fight his addiction.

“In a strange way I’ve spent the last 15 to 20 years trying to derail my own career, but it never seems to suffer,” he said. “I suffer like crazy. I’ve suffered bereavements and public humiliations, but my career always seems to right itself like a plastic duck in the bath.”

wenn1878892.jpg

In her first interview since her arrest last month after an incident in a Turks and Caicos airport, Nikki Blonsky tells ET that she has had an outpouring of support from friends and family, including her “Hairspray” castmates, “They have all been extremely supportive.” Blonsky says co-star Zac Efron has been a special source of strength for her, “I love him with every inch of my body and soul. He has been an amazing support system.”

She goes on to say that her family is coping with the situation as best they can, “We are a tight-knit family. We’re just happy to be back together. My family is my life. The best gift that I’ve even been given is my parents.” On the media attention surrounding the incident in which her father Carl was also arrested, Blonsky says it’s difficult to see her family under scrutiny, “You want to protect them the best way you know how.”

Blonsky is currently preparing for a special performance at Feinstein’s in New York City that will run from September 23rd to October 4th.
