Teen Mom star Amber Portwood has been arrested today, after she was charged with two felony counts of domestic violence.

She allegedly beat up her baby’s father, Gary Shirley, on three separate occasions between August 2009 and July 2010, with some of the beatings being captured by MTV’s camera crews for her reality show.

TMZ reports:

Earlier today, the Madison County Prosecutor’s Office had charged Portwood with two felony counts of domestic battery, one felony count of neglect of a dependent, and one misdemeanor count of domestic battery.

Amber was booked at 4:21 PM EST — and we’re told she’s been placed on a “24-hour hold.”

Bail has been set at $5,000.

Ja Rule has pleaded guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon in a deal that will likely send him to prison for two years, MTV News reports. The rapper was arrested in New York City on the same July 2007 night as Lil Wayne, just hours after they shared a stage at a Beacon Theatre concert. Police allegedly found a loaded semiautomatic gun in his car.

Ja Rule will be formally sentenced next February. If convicted without the plea deal, he could have faced up to seven years.

Sextuplets dad Bryan Masche was arrested on September 11 after an altercation with his wife, and another family member!

32-year-old Bryan was arrested after he threatened his wife and another family member earlier this month at their Camp Verde home. Masche’s wife told authorities the argument stemmed from marital issues, and her husband wanted to take the kids to a town where they once lived.

Sources say he plead not guilty to three counts of domestic violence involving disorderly conduct and a count of resisting arrest.

TMZ has learned former teen tennis star Jennifer Capriati was rushed to the hospital early this morning after paramedics responded to a call for a possible overdose.

Sources tell TMZ the call came from a hotel in Riviera Beach, FL. Capriati was transported to a nearby hospital.

TMZ spoke with Jennifer’s father who tells us she’s recovering well.

Capriati won 14 career titles, including three Grand Slams. She also won a gold medal at the 1992 Olympics.

Vince Neil was arrested in Las Vegas late on Sunday for suspicion of DUI, Gossip Cop can confirm.

A Clark County Jail spokesperson confirms the Motley Crue frontman was taken into custody at 11:16 pm.

Neil has not yet posted bail.

Juan-Carlos Cruz, the former Food Network chef under arrest for a plot to murder his wife, allegedly planned to have three homeless men carry out the job. TMZ reports Cruz planned to pay the men with $1,000 in torn-up $100 bills — half before the murder, half after.

“Have already been burned with whole bills then no show thats why do it this way,” reads a text message TMZ contends was sent from Cruz to a phone provided for the homeless men. Cruz also texted that he had a second party ready for the job if his selected hit-men weren’t up to the task.

The former ‘Calorie Commando’ and ‘Weighing In’ host was arrested Thursday in Santa Monica, California.

“The individuals who were solicited agreed to assist the Santa Monica Police Department in the investigation. The individuals who were solicited agreed to assist the Santa Monica Police Department in the investigation,” the Santa Monica Police Department said in a statement.

Cruz was under investigation since May 7, and was finally taken into custody after an undercover operation in which the homeless men he attempted to hire recorded a conversation implicated him. TMZ interviewed the homeless men involved, who said that Cruz wanted them to strangle his wife “because stabbing leaves too much blood. He didn’t want a mess.”

According to TMZ, Cruz plans on pleading not guilty to the charges.

Cruz is currently being held on a $5 million bail stemming from a charge of solicitation to commit murder following his arrest last week.

Cruz hosted ‘Calorie Commando’ in 2004.

A Food Network executive told CBS News that Cruz and his wife — Jennifer Campbell, his high school sweetheart — “had always seemed so harmonious that I couldn’t imagine he would have anything like that going on. … It’s hard for me to believe that the guy who was there cooking and helping people lose weight could end up in a terrible situation like this.”

A former “Big Brother Season 9″ contestant has just been arrested for conspiracy to distribute oxycodone — and authorities believe he was in cahoots with another BB9 housemate … the guy who won the show.

Matthew McDonald (left) was indicted in federal court in Massachusetts today for allegedly participating in a drug ring run by “Big Brother” Season 9 winner Adam Jasinski (right). According to the indictment, McDonald was involved in the alleged drug ring from April 2008 to October 2009.

McDonald and Jasinski were allies inside the “Big Brother” house during most of Season 9 — which ran from February 2008 through April 2008.

As we previously reported, Jasinski was arrested in October 2009 after cops say he used his $500,000 Big Brother winnings to fund a large oxycodone distribution ring.

As for McDonald — it’s the third major criminal charge levied against him this month. Matthew is accused of beating his pregnant girlfriend and then attempting to intimidate her into dropping the charges.

If convicted of the drug charge, McDonald faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine.
