Amber Portwood, who stars in MTV’s ‘Teen Mom’ was sentenced to five years in prison today. The 21-year-old mom will avoid doing a lot of the prison time by accepting to enter a drug program.

Portwood was shackled at the ankles and wrists today as she appeared in Madison County Court in Anderson, Indiana.

Under a plea deal, the reality TV star plead guilty to one count of Class D felony possession of a controlled substance, and one count of parole probation violation. If she succeeds in completing the terms of the drug court program, the case against her will be dismissed. If she fails, the judge told Portwood she would be send to prison to serve the five years he ordered.

‘I know it is going to be hard but I have a lot to lose – I have a daughter,’ Portwood quietly told Judge Happe.

‘All I can do is try, I have a lot of people behind me.’

Asked what she hoped to get out of the plea deal, Portwood said: ‘I want to possibly get my family back.

‘I have been doing pills for eight years, since I was 13, and since then I have never been drug free until I detoxed.

‘I think about my daughter all the time and I did not really do that before, I always thought about when I was going to get more pills.

‘I am just a better person when I am off them. I remember when I was sober after rehab I was happier then too.

Amber was arrested on December 19th at the courthouse during a meeting with probation officers for violating her probation. On December 22 she was charged with Class D felony possession of a controlled substance – hydrocodone pills.

What a mess! Hopefully she can get her life back in order. For her daughters sake!

Remember the ‘Burglar Bunch’ who went around breaking into famous people’s homes and taking random items for the fun of popularity? Well their ‘ringleader,’ Rachel Lee, has been sentenced to four years in prison for her part in the robbery of Audrina Patridge‘s home.

21-year-old Lee pleaded no contest to one count of first degree residential burglary last month … after she was accused of entering Patridge’s home through an unlocked door on the night of the Academy Awards.

Lee was accused of taking around $43k worth of items from the home — including Audrina’s passport, various pieces of jewelry, a laptop and designer jeans.

4 other members of the gang are still awaiting trial for allegedly taking part in burglarizing the homes of Orlando Bloom, Megan Fox, Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan between Sept. 2008 and August 2009.

There’s a good chance that Rachel won’t actually serve tim ein prison because her crime was a non-violent offense, so she’s looking at county jail time.

Last week Samantha Ronson was busted for a DUI in Baker, CA while she was driving home from DJ’ing in Las Vegas. According to reports, she was drunk driving at 10:00AM! She was busted speeding through the desert. Today, Sam’s been formally charged with two misdemeanor counts of drunk driving. (Love the new mug shot Sam)

Samantha Ronson has officially been charged with drunk driving following her arrest last week in the California desert, several hours northeast of Los Angeles.

Ronson, 33, the former girlfriend of Lindsay Lohan, faces two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and having a blood-alcohol level of .08 or above, the Los Angeles Times reports.

The celebrity deejay was pulled over outside Baker, Calif., at 10:31 a.m. on Aug. 2, after being clocked driving 89 mph.

She “displayed signs of alcohol intoxication,” according to the police report, and was arrested after taking field sobriety tests.

This story is just so sad to me! So many people affected by drinking and driving. Actress Amy Locane-Bovenizer is a married woman with children. Too many people hurt by such a careless accident!

A police officer says an actress who had appeared in the “Melrose Place” television series was giggling and laughing after a motor vehicle crash that killed a New Jersey woman.

The officer says Amy Locane-Bovenizer said police and emergency personnel were “being overly dramatic.”

The Courier News of Bridgewater reports Montgomery Police Officer William Wilkes testified Monday during a hearing to determine whether statements the actress made to police after the June 2010 crash will be admissible at her trial.

Locane-Bovenizer is charged with aggravated manslaughter stemming from the death of 60-year-old Helene Seeman.

Prosecutors allege the 39-year-old actress, who lives in Hopewell, was drunk and speeding when her SUV struck a vehicle driven by Seeman’s husband.

The court hearing will continue Tuesday with cross-examination.

‘Planet of the Apes’ actress Estella Warren is in jail this morning after going on quite a bender last night.

According to TMZ, the incident happened last night just before midnight. Police report that Warren was driving in Los Angeles when she struck three parked cars with her Toyota Prius. She didn’t stop – and on top of that was spotted by police. After stopping her, she resisted arrest and kicked an officer. She was then placed under arrest for driving under the influence.

GET THIS…. Warren was taken to a local police station in handcuffs. While she was being booked, she managed to get out of her handcuffs and escape out the back door!

She was quickly recaptured.

She’s now facing charges for felony escape, assault, hit and run and DUI.

As one law enforcement source told TMZ … “She was really hammered.”

Wow…. Lindsay who? This girl is an even bigger mess!

This morning the world found out the reason behind Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver’s split. She had recently found out that Arnold had been hiding a love child for over a decade. Just hours after news broke that Arnold had impregnated a housekeeper over a decade ago, Maria has released a statement.

“This is a painful and heartbreaking time,” the 55-year-old said in a statement to E! News.

“As a mother, my concern is for the children. I ask for compassion, respect and privacy as my children and I try to rebuild our lives and heal. I will have no further comment.”

Arnold released his own shockwave-sending statement earlier today, admitting that he cheated on his wife with a longtime member of their household staff. He said that he waited until he left the office of the governor in January of this year before telling his wife.

“I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family,” he said. “There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused to Maria, my children and my family.

“I ask that the media respect my wife and children through this extremely difficult time. While I deserve your attention and criticism, my family does not.”

My heart just breaks for Maria. I can’t even imagine being married to someone for 25 years, and to learn that your husband has fathered a child with another woman – and kept it hidden for over a decade. Talk about the ultimate betrayal!

Judson Birza (aka Fabio), the winner of “Survivor,” season 21 in Nicaragua, was arrested Wednesday afternoon on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, according to TMZ.

Law enforcement sources tell us cops noticed Birza at around noon riding a skateboard in the street — which is illegal. They stopped Birza, noticed he was acting strangely, and determined he was under the influence.

Santa Monica police arrested Birza and took him to the station, where he was booked and jailed.

Birza was also booked for an unrelated DUI warrant as well as a probation violation.

He quickly posted his $37,000 and was spotted leaving and hopping into a stretch white limo.

Fabio told TMZ, “Dude, this is such bulls**t … I got treated like a baby.”

Moments after he got into the limo — Birza and his buddies popped a few Tecates to celebrate his newfound freedom.
