‘Smallville’ star Sam Jones was arrested Wednesday morning after cops say he was part of a conspiracy to deal more than 10,000 pills of oxycodone, TMZ reports. Jones has been charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and if convicted faces up to 20 years in federal prison.

DEA agents who claim Jones was a “co-conspirator” in a series of major drug deals in 2008 took him into custody on Wednesday morning. Jones is due in federal court in L.A. on October 21.

Jones played Clark Kent’s best friend on the show ‘Smallville.’

Lori Petty, best known for her roles in Tank Girl and A League of Their Own, pleaded no contest last week to a misdemeanor DUI charge and will serve five years’ probation.

Petty, 45, was arrested last May after allegedly hitting a 14-year-old skateboarder while driving in Venice, Calif. The boy’s injuries were minor.

The actress will pay fines and receive outpatient treatment and attend AA meetings, according to Los Angeles Superior Court records. A second DUI charge was dismissed as part of Petty’s plea deal.

Petty did not attend the hearing, but was represented by her attorney, Blair Berk.

Burn Notice star Jeffrey Donovan might want to rethink his defense by the time he goes to court for his July 12 DUI case, as the reasoning, “I really think I’m only borderline and not too drunk” probably won’t get him too far.TMZ relates Jeffrey’s unique defense, outlined in a police report from Miami Beach PD. The arresting officer wrote he first noticed Jeffrey after he heard “a loud tire screech” behind him, and saw the actor’s car swerve to avoid hitting him. When he stopped, he told the cop, “Sorry, I didn’t see the red light or your stopped car.”

The officer smelled alcohol and asked Jeffrey if he’d been drinking.

“I had three drinks at the Fontainebleau,” Jeffrey responded, before failing a field sobriety test. As he was taken into custody he added another gem: “The only mistake I made tonight was drinking Benadryl with 3 glasses of wine.”

We’ve just learned Artie Lange was busted for suspicion of DUI moments ago in New Jersey.

Law enforcement sources tell us the “Howard Stern Show” veteran was arrested about a half hour ago in Toms River after he got into a minor car accident.

UPDATE: Cops tells us Artie was driving a 2009 Nissan Sentra when he rear-ended a 2004 Pontiac. He was charged with DUI and careless driving.

Karma caught up with former Culture Club singer Boy George on Friday when a court sentenced the star to 15 months for falsely imprisoning a male escort, a court spokeswoman said.

Full details of the sentence weren’t immediately clear.

A jury unanimously found the pop star and DJ, whose real name is George O’Dowd, guilty of the charge last month after a seven-day trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court in northeast London.

The jury determined O’Dowd, 47, had chained male escort Audun Carlsen to a wall at his apartment in London’s hip Shoreditch neighborhood. Carlsen had also said the singer beat him with a metal chain.

O’Dowd, who maintained his innocence, came to court Friday sporting a multicolored tattoo on his bald head, none of his trademark makeup, and a black winter coat.

The star quit Culture Club in 1987 after a string of hits with the group, including “Karma Chameleon,” “Do you really want to hurt me?” and “Church of the Poison Mind.”

He has since become a DJ and revived his singing career, releasing a single last year called “Yes we can,” inspired by Barack Obama and featuring clips of the U.S. president-elect.

O’Dowd is no stranger to the law. In August 2006, he spent five days cleaning the streets of Manhattan as part of a community service sentence for falsely reporting a break-in at his New York City home.

He has also publicly battled drug addiction.

Actor and playwright Sam Shepard was arrested early on Saturday in central Illinois and charged with speeding and drunken driving, police said.

Shepard, 65, told police in Normal, Illinois, he was passing through town and stopped at a tavern before heading to his hotel.

His blood alcohol was twice the legal limit and he was going 16 mph over the 30 mph speed limit while passing through town, the Bloomington, Illinois, Pantagraph reported.

He told police he was traveling to his home in Kentucky, according to the newspaper.

His long-time partner is actress Jessica Lange, with whom he has two children.

Shepard received an Oscar nomination for his portrayal of test pilot Chuck Yeager in the film “The Right Stuff.” He also appeared in “The Notebook,” “Blackhawk Down” and other films. His plays include “Buried Child,” for which he won the 1979 Pulitzer Prize for drama, “True West” and “A Lie of the Mind.”
