Brody Jenner has been pitching a reality show about his new romance — now he’s just got to convince his girlfriend, Avril Lavigne, to co-star!

According to an insider, Brody, 26, is determined to increase his C-list level of fame, and he thinks dating Avril, 25 — in front of America — is the way to do it.

“Brody came up with the idea for a reality show, and he’s begging Avril to do it,” her pal tells In Touch.  “She’s in love with him, but isn’t sure about it, yet she doesn’t want to tell him no.”

Brody and Avril have been seen together since February — soon after his split with Playboy model Jayde Nicole and her separation from husband Deryck Whibley.

Brody Jenner thinks his former best friend Spencer Pratt has gone off the deep end.

“I actually think he’s kind of lost it a little bit,” Jenner, 26, said on the Kidd Kraddick in the Morning radio show Wednesday.

The new issue of Us Weekly reports Pratt, 26, has major rage issues. On the May 11 episode of The Hills, he had a violent outburst after Heidi’s sister Holly confronted him about a crude remark he made about their mother being “just a vagina.”

Said Jenner, “Lately, it’s hard for me — even as someone who used to be best friends with him — to see what’s real and what’s not as far as he goes… I see he wants attention.”

Jenner also said Pratt “got all crazy with those crystals,” on which Us Weekly has reported the Pratts have spent $400,000.

Us Weekly also reports that the couple are in “panic mode” about losing their source of income because neither has taped since Mid-April. (Spencer was suspended from the MTV hit after threatening to kill a producer; Heidi’s role was reduced after she objected to a faux-divorce story line.)

A source tells Us Weekly show creator Adam DiVello “said he doesn’t think Heidi and Spencer will come back for the series finale.”

Brody Jenner and Spencer Pratt had better watch their backs — Jersey Shore’s Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is ready for a throwdown with the Hills gang! “I’m not crazy about them. We’re doing better than them right now, so they’re really not that big of a deal,” Ronnie tells In Touch, noting that the only thing their West Coast rivals can do better is “outspend” them. “It would be awesome to do The Hills versus Jersey Shore, like Real World/Road Rules Challenge. We would torture them!” Jenni “J-WOWW” Farley is on board. “We’d ruin them,” she tells In Touch. “I’d take on all six girls!”

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Pauly Delvecchio and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi already had a run-in with one of their fellow MTV reality stars last weekend. “Somebody called our publicist in LA and said, ‘The girls from The Hills want to sit next to you guys in a club,’” Mike tells In Touch. “As soon as we walked in, I saw some girl running at me. That happens a lot to us, so we didn’t know who it was. She almost tackled me, and I went, ‘Oh, she’s kind of cute.’ Then I looked up and it was Kristin Cavallari. I like to think that I’ve always had it like this, but not to this extent!”

And The Hills cast weren’t the only ones clamoring to meet them — Snoop Dogg, Ray Romano, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore are fans. “Ashton is cool. He loves the show. I always watched him on TV, and now he’s watching me — It’s crazy!” Pauly D tells In Touch. “I want to meet Kim Kardashian. He’s supposed to make that happen for me.”

But the biggest sign that they’ve made it? Snooki and The Situation were parodied on Saturday Night Live. “I thought it was hilarious,” Snooki tells In Touch of Bobby Moynihan’s portrayal of her. “He said what I would say: ‘Don’t touch the pouf!’ He must have studied me. I’m not hating on anything that anybody says about me!”

It seems like Brody Jenner is more upset about his break-up with former best friend Doug Reinhardt than his girlfriend of more than a year, Jayde Nicole.

Sources tell OK! that Brody was at Guys & Dolls in West Hollywood today with a new girl on his arm, but looked sad when he didn’t interact with his former friend at all. “Brody arrived at 11:15 with 2 guy friends,” a witness at Guys & Dolls tells OK!. “He was joined less than 30 minutes later by a blond very attractive woman.”

“She was with him at the bar most of the night, it was clear this wasn’t their first meeting,” the source continues.

Doug along with girlfriend Paris Hilton had their own table and were joined by about 10 friends.

Paris and Doug ordered 3 magnums of champagne and danced on the booth all night,” the source tells OK! “Doug did not speak to Brody. You could see Brody was distracted by Doug being there. He seemed very sad that they weren’t speaking.”

“Everyone stayed until close, Brody left hand-in-hand with the blond.”

Brody recently told Closer Magazine he hasn’t seen much of his baseball sluggin’ buddy since Reinhardt reconciled with the high-maintenance socialite in August and insists their friendship is now over.

“We used to be best friends, now I never see him. Some people are so involved in relationships they lose their other friends. Partners come and go your friends are there for you always. I’m done. Paris has taken him away.”

Another couple from The Hills is reality-TV history. Brody Jenner and Jayde Nicole have broken up after about 15 months together, a source close to Jenner confirms to UsMagazine.com.

Nicole, 23, hinted at the split on her Twitter around 8pm Dec. 18 with a wistful entry: “‘Sometimes when you truly love someone you have to let them go…..’ I never really understood that quote until now.”

The night before, however, the former Playboy Playmate was feeling festive. A source tells UsMagazine.com that Nicole “celebrated her breakup” with a 12-strong crew of girlfriends at Hyde Lounge in West Hollywood.

Her single-lady party continued on Dec. 19, when the model hosted a shindig at Chicago’s Manor nightclub. An insider at Manor tells UsMagazine.com that Nicole was “telling everyone” about her Dec. 17 breakup. “She made it sound like it was his doing, saying, ‘He said he needs time to ‘find himself. I don’t have time for that.’” Her ex Jenner, she told friends, has “gone to Australia” for some soul-searching.

Jenner himself Tweeted about starting “a new life” Down Under on Dec. 19. “So I decided to stay in Australia BY MYSELF!!! Hahaha this is Crazy.. Might just stay here and start a new life.”

Despite the sad news, Nicole wasn’t in a gloomy mood at Manor, the source says. “She didn’t seem bothered by the recent breakup at all. She spent the entire night downing Jager shots and flirting with all of the guys.”

Indeed, her Tweets from that night bear that out. “Rocking out at Manor” she wrote a 1:33am on Dec. 20. “Jager time!”

By 11:30am, she was feeling the effects of all those Jagermeister shots: “8 hours of sleep, too much jager= not good.”

On the just-concluded fifth season of The Hills, Nicole and Jenner argued about his flirty relationship with aggressive ex-girlfriend Kristin Cavallari. “Everything was totally fine before you came here, so you need to go back to wherever it is that you came from,” Nicole sniped at Cavallari in one heated exchange on the show.

Awkward alert: all three are signed on to shoot the sixth season of The Hills early next year.
