Brittany Snow Was Bullied In High School

The 2013 MTV Movie Awards in LA

Brittany Snow might be a famous actress and singer, but she certainly wasn’t immune to bullying while growing up!

“AOL Instant Messenger was a big thing back in the day, where girls would get on it and make fun of me,” says the star of the upcoming Pitch Perfect 2. “There was a certain girl, and she wanted to make me feel bad.”

According to People magazine, Snow, channeled her personal experiences into the formation of Love is Louder, an organization she started with The Jed Foundation in October 2010 to encourage the use of social media to promote love and support for anyone who is in need of it.

“When the suicides were starting to happen and kids were being bullied in schools, I felt really compelled to do something because I was bullied in school, and I didn’t really fit into a category that a lot of programs that were being started had,” Snow explains. “Now we have a really great opportunity with social media to use that communication for good, where people can go online and actually feel like they’re part of a community.”

And the campaign is already gaining ground!

“Sometimes my favorite thing is just to get on our Facebook and Twitter and see all the people that have been helped,” she says. “People are really speaking out about what they struggle with, and that’s really cool to me. I kept my stuff – and I think a lot of people do – very secret.”

It is so awesome for people like Brittany to be using their influence for the good of young women! GET IT, GIRL.

2013 MTV Movie Awards Red Carpet Pics!

Last night was the 2013 MTV Movie Awards. They were on so much earlier this year, I wonder why? Every year they fall on or around my birthday, which is the first  week of June. What’s with doing them in April, MTV?

Anyway, what did you think of the show? I’ll get to more of that later, but first and foremost, I have to say Rebel Wilson was a TERRIBLE host. She was completely UN-FUNNY the whole time, and I kept thinking to myself, WHY didn’t she hire herself a writer? Those jokes COULD have been funny, but they came out terribly. She was trying too hard, if you ask me. I felt uncomfortable FOR HER most of the time.

Anyway – we’ll talk more about the awards (and last night’s stage crasher) later. Now we’re all about FASHION! What was everyone wearing? Who was your favorite? Let’s begin!!

Selena Gomez wore a gold dress by Julian McDonald. I think she looks beautiful. The dress is gorg!

Kerry Washington wore Michael Kors.

Zoe Saldana wore Givenchy.

Brittany Snow takes over April issue of Maxim

Brittany Snow is all grown up now as she fiercely poses for the April 2011 cover of Maxim.

She’s moved on from playing a high school student in Hairspray… to being legally sexy as a legal secretary in ‘Harry’s Law’!

“Well, I’m excited for people to realize that I’m 25 years old and not a teenager anymore… even though I still look 18 and can’t get into a bar to save my life!” Brittany tells Maxim.

And good news guys, she’s single!

“I’m so single. It’s funny,” she says. “I’m usually a relationship girl. I love being in love and having a partner in crime. But it’s good to be your own partner in crime. God, that makes me sound like I have multiple-personality disorder.”

Brittany comments on her Maxim photos:  “It’s funny, because I’ve never done anything like this before, so the whole experience was a big step for me,” Brittany states. “But it was cool. I felt really comfortable and had a great time.”

But does Miss Snow view herself as a sex symbol?

“Oh, hell no! It’s weird. I’ve read in magazines where someone like Jessica Alba says, “I’m not a sex symbol. I don’t even think I’m sexy!” I’m like, ‘Oh, my God, girl, you’re kidding.’ I mean I hate to sound like the stereotypical actress, but if I’m gonna be honest… I really don’t think I am. But it’s nice when other people think so!”

I think Brittany looks hot hot hot on the cover!
