The pregnancy was first reported by the New York Post columnist Liz Smith. Moynahan, 35, who is over three months pregnant, is said to be “healthy and excited,” the paper reports.

The actress, a former model who starred in the ABC drama Six Degrees, and the Patriots star quarterback, ended their three-year relationship at the end of last year.

Since then, Brady, 29, has been romancing Brazilian-born supermodel Gisele Bundchen, 26. The new couple started dating just before Christmas, a source tells PEOPLE.

This will be the first child for both the actress and the athlete.

Pals of Bridget Moynahan are worried that the model-turned-actress is risking her health with her recent weight loss.

“She’s depressed,” says a friend. “We were worried about her before, but she’s just gotten too thin. It’s unhealthy. … She’s spending all of her free time at the gym.”

The “Six Degrees” actress has been through a rough patch lately after the demise of her three-year relationship with New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Reports in the Boston Herald that Gisele Bundchen was hanging outside his locker room within a month didn’t help.

Says the pal: “If Gisele Bundchen were dating your ex-boyfriend, wouldn’t you be depressed, too?”

Her rep told us yesterday: “There has been no change in the actress’ weight. She is happy and healthy.”

Actress Bridget Moynahan and New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady have split, a rep for Moynahan said in a statement on Thursday.

“(They) amicably ended their three-year relationship several weeks ago. We ask for your respect and consideration of their privacy. No further comments will be made.”

Moynahan, 35, a former model, stars in the ABC drama Six Degrees but is best known for playing Mr. Big’s (Chris Noth) socialite wife on Sex and the City.

The 29-year-old Brady – named one of PEOPLE’s 50 Most Beautiful People in 2002 – became the youngest quarterback ever to win a Super Bowl (in the New England Patriots’ 20-17 upset over the St. Louis Rams in 2002) and also led the Patriots to Super Bowl victory in 2003 and 2004.
