The guy who hooked up with Reichen Lehmkuhl at an Atlanta hotel — and who broke up Reichen’s relationship with Lance Bass — tells Life & Style that he never meant for things to end so badly.

“I honestly can’t believe this has escalated to the point where they split up,” says Davis Mallory who, like Lehmkuhl, is a reality show vet, having appeared in “The Real World: Denver.”

A mag insider says that after a Reichen book signing, Davis and Reichen met at Atlanta’s Wet Bar, and then ended up in Reichen’s hotel room. Bass read about the hookup on the Internet — and that was that.

Britney Spears’ boyfriend has pulled the plug on their relationship, sources tell OK!

Model Isaac Cohen broke the news to Britney during a long-distance phone call on Sunday evening while she was in New York and he was in Los Angeles.

“They are no longer an item,” Brandi Lord, Isaac’s agent at L.A. Models, confirms to OK!

The pair met through Britney’s choreographer and began dating in mid-December. It was the singer’s first real romance since she filed for divorce from Kevin Federline on November 7 last year.

For a while Britney and Isaac were regular feature of the LA party scene. Last month they spent a romantic weekend together in a $40,000-a-night suite at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

With Britney, 25, in New York on business, Isaac has been staying with friends and caring for Snow White, Britney’s teacup Chihuahua.

According to a friend of Isaac, 25, he has been “looking to get out of the relationship for a while.

“It was a bit much for him,” the friend tells OK! “There was a lot of drama – it was too much of a whirlwind. It wasn’t one thing in particular.

“Her likes her. They had a good time together. He was doing his best to help her out – but there is only so much one person can do.”

What’s next for Isaac? “Hanging out with the guys and riding his dirt bike,” says the friend.

“He’s focusing on his career – working and going out on castings.”

Three months after his split from Reese Witherspoon, Ryan Phillippe says, “This is the most difficult time in my life.”

“I must stay focused on my kids,” Phillippe, 32, tells TV’s Extra in an interview airing this week.

Asked if he’s distracted himself with his work during this tough time, the Flags of Our Fathers star answers: “I have not found balance in my life yet.”

Going through a break-up in the public eye makes things harder, he says: “It’s unfortunate when you have kids … but I signed up for this and have to deal with it. I don’t read the magazines or watch the shows. … It’s hard when people follow me to my kid’s school.”

Phillippe would not comment on reports that a relationship with Abbie Cornish – the Australian actress who costars with him in an upcoming film – played a role in the demise of his marriage. But his reps vehemently denied other allegations of hard partying and drug use.

Ryan Reynolds and Alanis Morissette have called it quits – and this time, it’s official.

Their reps, Dvora Vener and Meredith O’Sullivan, tell PEOPLE in a joint statement, “Ryan Reynolds and Alanis Morissette have mutually decided to end their engagement.

“They remain close friends and continue to have the utmost love and admiration for each other. They ask that their privacy be respected surrounding this personal matter.”

Morissette, 32, and Reynolds, 30, had previously split in June, a source close to the couple said at the time, but within weeks they were seen walking in Vancouver, holding hands in L.A. and, on Oct. 1, kissing in New York City.

The singer and the Smokin’ Aces actor, both Canadian-born, met in 2002 and dated for two years before becoming engaged in 2004.

They never announced a wedding date. “We’re just really enjoying this [engagement] phase,” Morissette told PEOPLE in 2005. Added Reynolds, “We feel like we’re already married.”

Australian singer Kylie Minogue and Paris-born actor Olivier Martinez have broken up after four years together, according to a statement released Friday.

“Olivier Martinez and Kylie Minogue have officially confirmed that they are no longer a couple,” says the statement issued by reps for the couple. “They have made it clear that the decision to go their separate ways was mutual and amicable. The two remain very close friends.”

The pop princess and Martinez are both, it says, “saddened by false [media] accusations of disloyalty.”

The couple’s parting follows reports that Martinez, 41, was seen with younger women in Los Angeles twice last week while Minogue, 38, remained in Britain.

The Australian entertainer is recovering from a respiratory infection, which caused her to cancel several concert dates in the UK last month. The gigs were part of her worldwide comeback Showgirl tour following her battle to beat cancer.

Minogue earlier this year credited Martinez, who appeared in Unfaithful with Diane Lane and Richard Gere in 2002, with helping her through the dark days of her breast cancer battle. She was diagnosed with the disease in May of 2005.

“He was always there, helping with the practical stuff and being protective,” said Minogue, who was given the all-clear last year. “He was incredible. He didn’t hesitate in canceling work and putting projects on hold so he could be with me. He’s the most honorable man I have ever met.”

Minogue began dating Martinez after they met at the Grammy Awards in 2003. After dining in Beverly Hills, Martinez drove her back to her hotel in his 1969 cream convertible E-type Jaguar.

It looks like Mary-Louise Parker has split from her “Weeds” co-star Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Page Six spotted Parker and Morgan last December looking very much together at Soho House, but they were seen arguing last week at Nobu Next Door. “She was trying to hold his hand and get his attention,” said our source. “But he was ogling a cute, petite blonde through the whole meal.” Parker seems to have already moved on. We spotted her locking lips Wednesday night with a dark-haired man at Lower East Side eatery Good World.
