Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie were spotted with children Maddox, Shiloh, Pax, & Zahara in Venice yesterday. Twins Vivienne and Knox were nowhere in sight. A convenient photo op, don’t you think? It’s their way of thumbing their noses at the gossip mill. They’re still together. We get it. See more photos after the jump!
Angelina recently urged prospective parents not to adopt Haitian orphans following January’s devastating earthquake because she fears the disaster could lead to a rise in child trafficking. She said, “An emergency is not the time for new adoptions in any way. Child trafficking has been a huge problem for a very long time. Everybody that means well needs to really take that very seriously.”
The actress is in Italy to shoot scenes of the movie “The Tourist.” In the film, an American tourist (Johnny Depp) realizes that a female Interpol agent (Jolie) is using him to flush out the elusive criminal with whom she once had an affair, the stage is set for a game of international intrigue that threatens to turn deadly.
Look how cute Shiloh is!

Tree huggers!
Angelina Jolie gave Brad Pitt an $18,500 tree for Valentine’s Day, the UK Sun is reporting.
Jolie, 34, plans to plant the 200-year-old olive tree at their $60 million estate in the south of France.
“Ange bought it from a nursery called The English Garden Centre in Valbonne, near their house. It’s a very special tree and cost her a fortune,” an insider tells the Sun.
The olive branch has traditionally been offered up as a truce and symbol of peace, making it an interesting gift considering the rampant split rumors about the couple of four years.
Pitt, 45, and Jolie recently put on a public display of affection at the Super Bowl.
Their lawyer told BBC News last week that the couple have begun legal proceedings against the News of the World, which reported on Jan. 24 that the two had agreed to divide their assets and made arrangements for the custody of their six children, Maddox, 8, Pax, 6, Zahara, 5, Shiloh, 3, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 18 months.

Angelina Jolie has credited her partner Brad Pitt with inspiring her to have children of her own, insisting she “didn’t want to get pregnant” until she met him.
The actress was already mom to her son Maddox, now eight, when she met Pitt, after adopting the youngster from Cambodia.
After she struck up a relationship with Pitt in 2006, they went on to adopt daughter Zahara, now five, from Ethiopia before Jolie became pregnant with the couple’s first biological child, Shiloh, who was born in 2006. They subsequently adopted another son, Pax, in 2007, before welcoming biological twins, Vivienne and Knox, in 2008.
And Jolie admits she was happy just to take in orphaned children, until Pitt convinced her to become a mum herself.
She tells Australia’s Marie Claire magazine, “When I met him… I didn’t want to get pregnant. I always wanted to adopt, but I never had the desire of experiencing biological motherhood. He taught me to be more patient and to enjoy everything that exists in the world.”

In a story published on 24 January, the paper said the couple would separate and had agreed the division of assets and custody of their children.
The couple’s lawyer, Keith Schilling, called the “widely republished” allegations “false and intrusive”.
He added the paper had failed to meet “reasonable demands” for an apology.
He said the pair had also asked for a retraction of the allegations, which had subsequently been “widely republished by mainstream news outlets”.
A statement from Schillings Lawyers also noted that Sorrell Trope, identified by some publications as a divorce lawyer advising Pitt and Jolie, had never met them.
“I have had no contact from… Angelina Jolie and / or Brad Pitt,” said Trope in a letter quoted in the statement.
“I have never met… your clients or had any involvement with either of them. The foregoing is true with respect to all other members of this firm.”
The action comes following the publication by the News of the World of allegations that Jolie and / or Pitt had visited a divorce lawyer in December, and that an agreement had been reached between them regarding custody of their children and the dividing of their joint assets of £205m.
The newspaper added that the agreement had been signed last month and that the separation would occur imminently.
A spokesperson for the News Of The World was unable to comment at the time of writing.
Pitt and Jolie, who are not married, have six children.
They made a rare public appearance on Sunday night’s Super Bowl, along with their eldest son, Maddox.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have issued a legal statement asserting that they are not about to split.
The couple’s lawyer, Keith Schilling, said Monday that the pair had commenced proceedings against Britain’s News of the World for making “false allegations about their relationship” – and said that the reports are not true.
“We can confirm unequivocally … that the allegations published by the News of the World are false as well as intrusive,” said Schilling in a statement.
The U.K. paper had reported that Jolie, 34, and Pitt, 46, had met with a divorce lawyer and were headed for a split.
According to Schilling, Sorrell Trope, who was, identified in some media reports as the lawyer representing the couple, submitted a statement saying, “I have had no contact from them … Angelina Jolie and/or Brad Pitt. I have never met your … clients or had any involvement with either of them.”
When news broke of a possible impending split between the superstar couple, sources close to them told People that the story was not true.
On Sunday, Pitt and Jolie publicly showed their affection for each other by kissing, cuddling and cheering when they took son Maddox to the Super Bowl.
News of the World did not immediately return calls for comment.

I have to admit, I love that they’re still together. All those kids, and I hope they can make it work!
