Comedy genius down!

Michael McKean, 64, was seen bleeding from the head after a car ran into him between W. 86th St. and Broadway just before 3 p.m. yesterday. Witnesses and the FDNY said McKean was brought to a Manhattan hospital in critical condition, but is now stable.

McKean is best known for his comedic filmwork, most notably for This is Spinal Tap and also for his work in television’s “Laverne and Shirley. ” His wife, actress Annette O’Toole, flew in from Los Angeles to be by her husband’s side.

Turns out, McKean is recovering from a broken leg and bruising, and should be okay!
