I don’t know how many of you are into Big Brother, it is probably one of my favorite shows on TV. I never miss an episode.

Side note: Is it just me, or is Allison one crazy biotch? I want to smack those moles right off her eyelids.

A national autism advocacy group is demanding an apology from CBS over a disparaging remark a contestant on the reality show “Big Brother” made about people with the disorder.

John Gilmore, executive director of Autism United, said Monday that his group has been trying to speak with CBS executives since last week’s broadcast.

On that episode, a contestant named Adam, who claims to work for an autism foundation, said he would spend his winnings on a hair salon for people with developmental disabilities “so retards can get it together and get their hair done.”

His partner, Sheila, told him: “Don’t call them that.”

Adam responded: “Disabled kids. I can call them whatever I want. I work with them all day, OK?”

The show’s Web site describes him as a 29-year-old public relations manager from Delray Beach, Fla.

In a statement released Monday, CBS condemned Adam’s comments, saying they don’t represent opinions held by the network or the program’s producers.

“We certainly find the statements made by Adam to be offensive but believe they were countered by the immediate reaction of shock and condemnation from a fellow houseguest, Sheila,” the statement said. “Adam’s remarks would not have been permitted to air unchallenged.”

“Big Brother” also has been condemned for contestants’ remarks on incest, race, ethnicity and sexual orientation. Some contestants have been removed following incidents that were deemed violent or racist.

The premise of the show is that contestants — or “houseguests” — are isolated from the outside world while under constant surveillance. Once a week, they vote to evict a member of the group.

When just two people remain, a jury of voted-off contestants picks the “Big Brother” winner of the $500,000 grand prize.

Autism is a complex disorder featuring poor social interaction and communication skills.

Nick Starcevic, super hunk from Big Brother 8 and his in-house whore Daniele Donato are… well… broken up. How wonderfully predictable is that!

It seems that perhaps America’s sweetheart Janelle Pierzina had something to do with it all. Janelle had recently been posting a plethora of comments on Nick’s MySpace including the following:

“Everyone my feelings about Nick and Dani is none of our business what has happened or what has not happened. Do not forget Dani is a private person and I can relate. Nick I wish you the best in CA. Once again your pictures are great!!!”

Can’t really say that nobody saw this coming given Daniele’s track record and the fact that she cheated on her boyfriend of two years on national television. I’d pick Jani over Dani anyday!

Now it appears that given all this scandal Nick is deleting his MySpace… now how am I going to lurk him?

Big Brother fans, prepare to celebrate the Writers Guild strike. A reliable source says CBS is quietly ramping up production on a ninth cycle of the reality show to begin airing in late January or early February if the strike persists well into the holidays. It’s easy for CBS to fire up production on BB because it owns the house (which is located on the network’s Studio City, CA lot) and it casts for the show year-round. We hear executive producer Allison Grodner is already hiring production staff and, of course, Julie “Chenbot” Chen would return as host. A CBS spokesperson declined comment.

Like seasons past, the network would probably air the show thrice-weekly, although there’s always the possibility of adding more nights since action occurs around-the-clock in the BB house. Last summer, fans demonstrated their desire to watch even more of the house happenings by tuning into to Big Brother: After Dark on Showtime. It’s unclear whether the nightly feeds will resume with this new cycle, though it seems likely. If the midseason BB does go forward, it is unlikely to affect the regular summer run of the show.
