After hitting up the U.S. Open yesterday with hubby Jay-Z, Beyonce strapped on her heels and joined her sister Solange at New York Fashion Week today.
The pregnant singer made her Fashion Week rounds, appearing at a J. Crew show, and then today she wore a poofy bubble skirt for Vera Wang’s runway show. (I may not actually hate the skirt – I may just hate the top. If she had paired that skirt with a different top, I might like it more. What do you think?)
After Vera Wang, Beyonce made her way to the Rodarte show, sitting front row with Taylor Swift and the Fanning sisters.
What’s more ridiculous – Beyonce’s skirt – or Solange’s hair?
Beyonce announced her pregnancy at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards!
As she walked the red carpet, someone tweeted, “OMG Beyonce just made a huge announcement on the #vma carpet! #baby!!!!!”
This will be the singer’s first child; she’s married to hip hop icon Jay-Z.
During her performance of “Love on Top,” Beyonce told the crowd, “I want you to feel the love that’s growing inside me.” Then at the end of the song she ubuttoned her coat and rubbed her belly.
Beyonce was spotted in rural New Jersey shooting the upocoming music video for her next single, ‘Party,’ off of her platinum-selling record, ’4.’ The singer donned a bright yellow fur coat for the fun-filled shoot that included colorfully dressed dancers and muscle cars. Her sister Solange and Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland will also be making cameo appearances in the video.
Beyonce just debuted the video for “Best Thing I Never Had”!
It’s the story of what happens after the prom when the high school sweetheart who broke your heart turns out to be the best thing you never had. You move on and find true happiness — in Beyonce’s case, married bliss with another. Watch the full video here:
Beyonce’s wedding dress in the music video was designed by Baracci Beverly Hills, while the white reception dress was a Vera Wang creation. She certainly makes a beautiful bride!
B’s latest solo album, “4,” debuted at the top of the charts last week. It is her fourth second studio album to debut at No. 1, but trailed her previous efforts “Dangerously In Love,” “B’Day,” and “I Am … Sasha Fierce.”
The first single, “Run the World (Girls)” was a critical or commercial hit. “Best Thing I Never Had” — an uptempo ballad along the lines of “Irreplaceable” — may fare better. It’s been rising rapidly on the charts and this new video will certainly help.
I watched the video, and I think she looks absolutely gorgeous, but I’m just not a fan of the song. So far, I’m not a fan of anything off this new album. I’m not a huge Beyonce fan, though, so that could be the reason.
Not a fan of this song. How about you? What did you think?
Beyonce took the stage at the Glastonbury Music Festival over the weekend, and her performance has many saying it was her best show ever!
The R&B star, the first female headliner in the history of the festival, brought down the house Sunday night, wowing a screaming audience of 170,000+ fans. The bright lights of what is considered by some to be the biggest music festival in the world were no match for the singer, as she ran through some of her biggest hits, opening with “Crazy Like That” before moving on to songs like “Single Ladies,” “Irreplaceable,” and a medley of Destiny’s Child favorites, including “Survivor” and “Say My Name.”
She also sang her new single, “1+1,” as well as “At Last,” the song she sang during President Obama’s inauguration in 2009. That performance came with a special civil rights-themed video montage — which included video of that very inauguration. See her complete setlist here.
Her husband, Jay-Z, watched from the side of the stage alongside Gwyneth Paltrow, whose husband Chris Martin performed earlier with his band Coldplay. Jay-Z, in 2008, was the first hip hop act to play the festival.
I tried to find video of her performance, but the one’s that I’ve found have already been removed. But I’m still trying! Once I find it – I’ll post it!
