Jay-Z and Beyonce have bought their first house as husband and wife - in the same New York county that they wed in last month.

The newlyweds exchanged vows in a private ceremony at a chapel in Scarsdale Village in Westchester County on April 4th, before holding a reception at the rapper’s luxury penthouse apartment in the TriBeCa area of New York City.

And the stars have now decided to call Scarsdale home, after purchasing a modern colonial property measuring 15,000 square-feet in the quiet community, according to TMZ.

Beyonce and Jay-Z refused to tell the world about their marriage - because they want to keep their relationship free of “tabloid drama”.

The Crazy In Love star wed rapper Jay-Z on April 4th in New York, although neither of the newlyweds spoke out to confirm the happy news - until now.

And Knowles insists her reluctance to share details of their nuptials stems from their desire to steer clear of media scrutiny.

She says, “I don’t deny it (the wedding). I just don’t talk about it. We’ve never talked about us and it’s kind of protected our relationship. I think it’s kept us out of tabloid drama. A lot of actresses that have had successful relationships don’t talk about them, so neither do I.”

Kelly Rowland has laughed off reports her close pal Beyonce Knowles is pregnant, insisting her former Destiny’s Child bandmate would be “mad” if she heard the latest rumors.

Reports Knowles is expecting surfaced online last month, just days after her secret New York wedding to hip-hop superstar Jay-Z.

The newlyweds have so far refused to confirm they have become husband and wife, let alone address the pregnancy rumors, but Rowland - who was a guest at their nuptials - insists Knowles is not about to enter motherhood.

However, Rowland has also continued to dodge questions about the widely reported wedding, saying: “Everybody keeps talking about this wedding that supposedly happened. That’s a question that you’d have to ask her!”

Of the baby rumors, the Work singer laughs, “You know what’s funny about this, all three of us (Destiny’s Child members) have been pregnant at one time. We were on stage and supposedly we looked pregnant!

“I think that it happens, people say that all the time and there are so many rumours about a wedding, so many rumours about so much stuff that it (Beyonce being pregnant) is probably next in line.

“I mean, even before (there were) the wedding rumors (there) were baby rumors; before the wedding rumors there were wedding rumors, you know what I mean? So, no, there’s no truth to that. She would be mad, she’d be like, ‘I’m what?’”

The marriage license has been filed – as People first reported last month – but Kelly Rowland is still playing coy when it comes to Beyoncé Knowles’ hush-hush wedding to Jay-Z.

The singer – a founding member of Destiny’s Child – was in London Wednesday night promoting her remix album, Miss Kelly: Diva Deluxe.

But she could not be tempted to discuss her BFF’s April 4 wedding, which she attended.

“I just spoke to Beyoncé last night, and she is very happy,” said Rowland, who is already hard at work on her third solo album.

So married life is treating Knowles well? “How do you know there’s been a wedding?” she replied playfully. “This is something you need to ask Beyoncé and Jay.”

Animal rights group People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals (PETA) has called off its war with Beyonce after discovering the newlywed pop sensation has ended her love affair with fur.

The singer was once near the top of PETA’s ‘hitlist’ because of frequent sightings of her wearing fur coats.

A member even won an auction to have lunch with her, only to confront her with video footage showing animals being skinned for fur. But the group has decided Knowles is now fur-free - and sent her a fake fur throw as a wedding present to mark her marriage to Jay-Z last week.

The accompanying note reads, “From all of us at PETA, we wish you much happiness in your life together. Please accept this faux-fur throw with many good wishes and a hope from us that together, you’ll be a fur-free couple!”

PETA Vice President Lisa Lange says, “Celebrities know that the easiest way to keep PETA off their backs is by keeping fur off their backs. Time will tell if Beyonce is truly committed to being fur-free, but all indications are that she’s become a real ‘dreamgirl’ for fur-bearing animals.”
