Beyoncé Knowles’s curves are in all the right places – thanks to hours of dancing and online shopping!
“I saw this dress online. I’m always on Style.com,” she said of her sparkling Balmain dress with an endless black train on the red carpet at the Cinema Society and MCM-sponsored New York premiere of her film Obsessed. When her stylist friend found it for her, “he was so excited, he said, ‘Please fit, please fit.’ ”
And fit it did, but not without a lot of work on the part of Knowles. “I lost a lot of weight naturally, just from 12-hour rehearsals,” she explained, attributing her recent weight loss to preparing to tour. “That’s a lot of dancing. I would never work out for 12 hours, but I’m able to move around and not think about it. It’s part of my job.”
Her other stay fit trick for fitting into those tiny tour costumes? “I’ve been trying to eat really clean,” she told PEOPLE. “Fish and, in the morning, Special K.”
Knowles, joined by Jay-Z in the theater and, surrounded by bodyguards at The Bowery Hotel dinner after, accented the look with shinning chrome nails and a unique bracelet. “It’s black and white jade and white diamonds,” said the designer Lorraine Schwartz at the screening. “It’s incredible. It was designed with her in mind.”
But, most importantly, is the star comfortable with the long train, metallic nails, and fierce four-and-a-half-inch heels? “I wouldn’t say comfortable, but hopefully, I’ll be happy when I see all the photographs and footage,” Knowles said.

Ignore that screeching version of “If I Were a Boy” making the rounds on the web. (Listen above)
Beyonce says she can sing.
On Tuesday, Howard Stern played an unedited sound board recording of the singer, 27, performing the song on the Today show last year. She sounds excruciatingly off-key as she wails through the number.
At a junket Wednesday for her new thriller Obsessed, Beyonce said that she hasn’t heard the recording, but the story “sounds completely ridiculous.”
“Everyone’s heard me sing and it’s perfect timing, actually, because I’ll be on the Today show tomorrow singing ‘Halo,’ or tonight you can watch me sing live on David Letterman!” she told MTV News. “It’s perfect promotion, whoever came up with that idea.”
Earlier in the day, her dad (and manager) Matthew Knowles claimed the tape was “obviously altered.”
“If no one took the time to look at the biggest Inauguration in the history of America then shame on them,” he wrote. “If no one took the time to listen to Beyoncé sing ‘America the Beautiful’ and ‘At Last’ at the Neighborhood Ball for the first dance of President Obama and the First Lady, and they question Beyoncé’s vocal ability, they’ve gotta be an idiot,” he said in a statement.
He continued, “At 12 years into her career, the last thing someone should be questioning is her vocal ability. That would be like questioning if Kobe Bryant could shoot a jump shot.”

Beyonce is a woman who knows what she wants.
Last year she was so taken with Thierry Mugler’s designs for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Superheroes exhibition, that she recruited him as creative adviser for her world tour. Today images of his designs have been revealed and they do not disappoint! Mugler explained to WWD, “Sasha Fierce is another aspect of Beyonce’s personality. She is Fierce on stage and Beyonce in real life. I tried to understand these two sides with my own perception of both aspects.” He added that the spirit he is trying to evoke is,”The duality between being a woman and a warrior.”
Creative director Mugler has also worked on lighting and sets for the tour in which we should expect to see the singer “metamorphosis” on stage.
The show kicks off tonight in Edmonton, Canada and I can’t wait to see Beyonce in these fierce designs!
