Paris Hilton and her boyfriend Benji Madden are facing legal action from a photographer in Los Angeles, after reportedly running over his foot with their car.

The socialite left the city’s exclusive Foxtail nightspot with her rocker beau on Thursday night by car, with Madden at the wheel.

The vehicle was surrounded by photographers vying for pictures of the couple, but as shown in footage posted on TMZ.com, one snapper is heard screaming with pain as the car passed over his foot.

Madden is seen climbing out of the vehicle and walking over to the paparazzo, but subsequently got back into the car and drove off.

But now, according to the website, the snapper has reportedly filed a hit and run complaint against the couple at the L.A. Sheriff’s Department.

Rockers Joel and Benji Madden, along with Paris Hilton are to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Smurfs at the 2008 Coachella Festival.

The trio will be among the celebrity DJs performing at The Smurf Village, which is located close to the Coachella site in the California desert.

The Smurf Village will operate from April 25th to April 27th.

And the actress/singer’s mother, Kathy, goes so far as to state she thinks the new romance is “the real thing”.

Kathy Hilton says, “It’s a great love match, and I have a funny feeling it’s going to go all the way, and we’ve already given it our approval. He (Madden) is an amazing guy… He’s changed her life, and I really think she’s genuinely in love for the first time.”

Her husband tells the Las Vegas Luxe Life blog, “He’s the perfect example of don’t judge a book by its cover. He’s polite, well-mannered and even calls me sir. We love him like family already.”

Hilton and Madden have been dating since February.
