Natalie Portman and her husband Benjamin Millepied made a rare red carpet appearance at last night’s New York City Ballet Spring Gala. Considering Benjamin is a male ballet dancer. (Ok, I really struggled to figure out what you call a male ballerina. I looked it up – and I guess you generally call them a “danseur”, but if I called him a “danseur” you’d all be scratching your heads. Either that, or everyone already knows this – and I’m out of the loop.)

Anyway! Natalie looks absolutely STUNNING in her navy blue Christian Dior dress. Natalie is the face of Dior right now, so it’s no surprise she went with them. The more I think about it – I’m not so sure I’m a fan of the bottom of this dress. Love the top, but the layers on the bottom might have to go.

Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied were wearing wedding bands at the Oscars on Sunday, leading everyone to assume the two had secretly tied the knot.

According to jeweler Jamie Wolf, the pair ARE married. “I designed the rings worn by Benjamin Millepied and Natalie Portman,” Wolf tells Us. “They were made with recycled platinum and conflict free diamonds.”

No further details on when or where the actress, 30, and dancer-choreographer, 34, tied the knot. Portman’s rep and manager did not reply to requests for comment from Us.

After falling in love on the set of Black Swan, Portman and Millepied announced in late December 2010 that they were engaged and expecting. Millepied was Portman’s constant companion on the 2011 awards circuit, where she picked up a bevy of statues (including the Best Actress Oscar) for her portrayal in Black Swan.

The resolutely private — but affectionate! — couple returned at the 2012 Academy Awards, and quietly debuted new wedding bands.

During her emotional 2011 Oscar speech, Portman called the Frenchman “my beautiful love” and thanked him for giving her “my most important role of my life.” They welcomed son Aleph in June 2010.

A Black Swan set source told Us it was “seductive to watch” Portman and Millepied fall for one another. “There was no way the attraction could be missed. I don’t think he could help himself — she’s dazzling!”
