This year’s Democratic National Convention (DNC) is becoming a haven for Hollywood A-listers – Ben Affleck, Quentin Tarantino, and Spike Lee have reportedly booked their appearances at the event.
The convention – taking place next month in Denver, Colorado – became a hit in the music scene after booking acts including Kanye West, Pharrell Williams and Wyclef Jean to perform.
Event organizers have yet to release an official list of confirmed performers and talent.
But DNC spokesman Damon Jones confirms: “We are expecting lots of people to be here, big names, small names and everyday American names.”
Other celebrities guests expected to attend the convention include: Warren Beatty, Annette Bening, Susan Sarandon, Forrest Whitaker and actor-turned-director Ed Norton – who is working on a documentary about Obama.

Jennifer Garner and husband Ben Affleck are expecting another baby, Garner’s former Alias co-star Victor Garber confirms to Usmagazine.com
“Yes, she is,” Garber – who officiated the couple’s 2005 wedding – told Us when asked if recent speculation was true that the couple is expecting.
A source adds, “She is five months pregnant. They are very happy.”
Garner, 36, and Affleck, 35, are parents to two-year-old daughter Violet – one of Us’ Babies of the Year.
“Honestly, that child is so inquisitive and so full of life — it’s all Jennifer and Ben!” Garber gushed to Usmagazine.com in November 2007. “I have to say, he’s an amazing dad and together, she’s a very fortunate little girl to be in that family!”
Garner hinted in October that she wanted to have another child.
“We definitely wonder what it would be like to have another – hopefully, knock on wood, someday,” Garner told Britain’s Marie Claire. “My job is great to have as a mom. I get to take breaks and then work in a really concentrated way. During that concentrated time, it sucks, but whatever.”
Photos of Garner in loose fitting tops have had Web sites speculating about a bun in the oven for weeks.
Reps only confirmed Garner’s first pregnancy after she and Affleck tied the knot on the Turks and Caicos on June 29, 2005.
When it comes to Violet, Garner has revealed she’s a total daddy’s girl.
“You know how as a kid you picture yourself with a tall, handsome husband, and you imagine him cuddling your baby?” Ben is like that, like, on crack,” she told the May 2007 issue of In Style. “Violet prefers him to anyone. He’s a teddy bear of a guy. Nothing makes me happier than to see the two of them together and her little hands on his face. He has a prevailing calm. Of course, he has the benefit of sleep.”
Affleck recently opened up to Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush about his happy family life.
“Things couldn’t be better. We’re kind of taking it easy and just kind of enjoying a little downtime at home,” Affleck said.

Hollywood couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are expecting their second child, according to new reports.
The pair welcomed their two-year-old daughter Violet in December 2005, and are expecting a second addition to their brood with Garner set to give birth next year, reports the National Enquirer.
A source tells the tabloid, “A few days before the Fourth of July, Jen began calling close pals with the news that she was pregnant again. Jen said she’s three months along – and she and Ben are ‘ecstatic’.”
The source adds, “She and Ben are still deciding whether they’ll ask the sex of the child.”
Affleck and Garner wed in June 2005 after meeting on the set of 2003 film Daredevil.
Affleck’s spokesperson, Ken Sunshine, is refusing to confirm or deny the reports, telling WENN: “We don’t comment on the personal lives of our clients.”

Ben Affleck says life at home is “pretty great.”
“We’re very happy. Things couldn’t be better. We’re kind of taking it easy and just kind of enjoying a little downtime at home,” Affleck told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush for The Billy Bush Show Friday.
Earlier this week, E!’s Ted Casablanca speculated Affleck and wife Jennifer Garner were close to splitting.
Garner’s rep denied the report, telling Usmagazine.com, “There is not one ounce of truth to it.”
This summer, the dad to two-year-old Violet plans on taking it easy.
“I’m at a point now where even… vacation sort of feels a little bit like work,” Affleck told Bush. “I’d rather just kind of chill and take it easy.”
Of course Affleck has been busy.
The actor traveled through the Congo filming as a guest correspondent for Nightline about the war torn country.
“It’s definitely changed me,” Affleck said of the experience. “It’s definitely been a part of… I guess a growing sense that I have a responsibility to do something with my life that’s other than just serving mileage in some way… You have a responsibility to your kid and also a responsibility to the world around you, so all that [is] part of the motivation for doing all this stuff.”
