Barbara Walters defends Woody Allen on The View

The Metropolitan Opera Gala Premiere Of Jules Massenet's Manon

This morning the women of ‘The View’ brought up Dylan Farrow’s open letter to the NY Times about the sexual abuse she claims she suffered at the hands of her adoptive father, Woody Allen.

Barbara Walters came to Woody’s defense, claiming she knows him well, and described him as a loving, caring father, who would never harm his children.

“I know Mia. I have a good relationship with her, but I’ve been with Woody many times with his two daughters. He’s got almost a twenty-year-old marriage. I have rarely seen a father as sensitive, and as loving and as caring as Woody is to these two girls. I don’t know about Dylan, I can only tell you about what I’ve seen now, that it’s a good marriage and that he’s a loving, caring father. I think that has to be said.

Supposedly, she’s very angry and she’s doing it now, because he’s up for an award. The question is does your personal life interfere with the awards?”

Sherri Shepherd added that while he may be a nice man, you never know what goes on behind closed doors, and truth be told, he WAS messing around with his 17-year-old adopted daughter, Soon-Yi.

That’s the thing that I keep going back to. It’s not like Woody doesn’t have a history of messing around with his adopted kids. HE MARRIED ONE for God’s sake. Even without these accusations, isn’t that creepy enough?

Barbara Walters Calling It Quits in 2014!

Barbara Walters has had a great career….and I do mean HAD!

The Hollywood Reporter reported that Walters will make an announcement in the coming weeks that she will be retiring from her television career next year!

As the head honcho on The View, Walters has been keeping her tv career vivacious, though she’s always flirted with retiring.  In 2011, she told the Obama administration she’d be done in 2012, and the joke is that Walters has been threatening to retire every year since Clinton.

Well, does she mean it? It sounds pretty official to me, but you never know. Stay tuned!

Pregnant (wo)Man is pregnant again!

Thomas Beatie, the controversial “pregnant man” who gave birth to a daughter earlier this year, reveals to Barbara Walters in an exclusive interview that he is pregnant again with his second child.

Thomas Beatie, a transgender, welcomed a baby girl, Susan, June 29. Since sharing the story of Susan’s birth with ABC News, he and his wife, Nancy Beatie, hadn’t spoken to the media until they sat down last month with Walters.

Thomas, who is in his first trimester, tells Walters he did not go back on the male hormone testosterone after Susan’s birth so he could have another baby.

“I feel good,” he said. “I had my checkups with my hormone level, as far as the HCG. And everything is right on track.” He says the baby is due June 12.

Thomas also spoke to Walters about Susan’s birth, which was not via Caesarean section. He was in labor for 40 hours; Nancy Beatie cut the umbilical cord.
