Avril Lavigne has been relatively nice to the public ever since her spitting incident back a few months. She’s such a sweet-heart.
Avril Lavigne may make fun of Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson, but the faux punk princess wants to try her hand at acting – just like her rivals. In a synergistic move, Lavigne is said to be in talks with Sony BMG (for which she also records) to play a lead role in a “thriller feature film,” a spy said, “playing kind of a white-trash girl.” Lavigne has already shot a scene in the Harrison Ford movie “The Flock” and said she wants to do things “outside of music.” Let’s hope the movies are better than Spears’ “Crossroads” and Simpson’s “Dukes of Hazzard.” A rep for Lavigne didn’t return calls.

Avril Lavigne is the new owner of a Los Angeles mansion that comes with more than 10 bathrooms.
The singer, 22, and her husband, Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley, 27, bought the Bel-Air home for about $9.5 million, the Los Angeles Times reports.
According to the paper, the three-story, 12,000-square-foot Tuscan-style gated home has eight bedrooms and 10½ bathrooms. On an acre of land, it also boasts an elevator, an office, a high-tech kitchen , a 10-car garage, a steam shower, a sauna, a pool and a spa.
Lavigne’s third album, The Best Damn Thing, is due out April 17, and she’s scheduled to be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live next weekend.
She and Whibley wed in July 2006. “We have a really good, strong relationship,” she told Jane in March. “There’s a lot of trust.”
***SORRY GUYS, MAJOR CRACKDOWN ON MY CANDID PICS. I HAD TO TAKE THESE DOWN… SORRY!! (PS: FOR THE FUTURE, I’M CONSIDERING PURCHASING THE PICTURES – SO I WON’T HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS ANYMORE. SORRY FOR THE FRUSTRATION!!)***
Britney Spears is to blame for her recent meltdown because she’s too weak to handle her fame, according to pop rival Avril Lavigne. The star claims Spears can’t point the finger at the media for her headline-grabbing spells in rehab and her bizarre hair-shaving episode – because all celebrities have to deal with the fame that comes with their success.
She says, “What’s happened to Britney is all down to who she is as a person. If you want a piece of this business you have to be able to deal with it. You can’t complain about the pressures, the paparazzi, the madness because that’s the job.”
Lavigne adds that she is able to live a relatively normal life – by concealing her private life from the press. She says, “No one really gets to know.”
